  1. Old thread: <a href="http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=27447" target="_blank">http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=27447</a> Might as well start Thread #4 on a good note: <a href="http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2010/03/mg-wishlist-ms-survey.html" target="_blank">http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2010/03/mg-...-ms-survey.html</a> While any freebies would probably be limited to Japan, looks like it's not picky about who participates <a href="http://bandai-hobbyproshop.net/gunpla30th/regist.php" target="_blank">Click HERE for the poll</a> The translated list (in this order): <!--quoteo--><div class="quotetop">QUOTE </div><div class="quotemain"><!--quotec-->The O --- "Gundam Zeta" Psycho Gundam (O_O) --- "Gundam Zeta" Baund Doc --- "Gundam Zeta" Marasai --- "Gundam Zeta" Doven Wolf --- "Gundam Double Zeta" Dreissen --- "Gundam Double Zeta" Turn X --- "Turn A Gundam" V2 Gundam --- "Victory Gundam" Gundam Double X --- "Gundam X" Gundam Virsago --- "Gundam X" Nobel Gundam --- "G Gundam" Gundam Deathscythe --- "Gundam W" Gundam Heavyarms --- "Gundam W" Gundam Sandrock --- "Gundam W" Shenlong Gundam --- "Gundam W" Gundam Epyon --- "Gundam W" Tallgeese --- "Gundam W" Legend Gundam --- "Gundam SEED Destiny" Akatsuki Gundam --- "Gundam SEED Destiny" 00 Raiser --- "Gundam Double O" Cherudim Gundam --- "Gundam Double O" Arios Gundam --- "Gundam Double O" Seravee Gundam --- "Gundam Double O" Reborns Gundam --- "Gundam Double O" Susanowo --- "Gundam Double O" Arche Gundam --- "Gundam Double O" Kshatriya --- "Gundam UC" ReZEL --- "Gundam UC" Stark Jegan --- "Gundam UC" Geara Zulu --- "Gundam UC" Other: (please specify)<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Funny...I don't see Gundam X in there. <img src="style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" alt="ohmy.gif" border="0"> *start thinking good thoughts*
  2. If the mods want to delete this thread, due to the separate ones, then I understand. At the moment, there look to be about 4 or 5 threads on various Megazone 23 products in the first few pages here. Since there are so many different items coming out this year and next, I figure that it might be helpful to have a single thread to keep them all straight, and to compare/contrast. We have: - Arcadia 1/24 (thread at ) - Freeing 1/20 (thread at ) - Fewture 1/20... or 1/15... unclear (thread at - The old Yamato, which can be great for comparison, 1/15 (rider was closer to 1/18) (thread at ) - Aoshima also made a 1/24 model (no recently active thread on that) So, here is how things look to me: Arcadia: 1/24 "die cast model". The big deal to this one, in my opinion, is that they have shown prototypes of Hagans and Proto Garland (at Wonderfest in 2016, and updated in 2017). So, while this one looks largely like a scaled-down Yamato, it might be worth getting if it is going to be part of a full in-scale line of Megazone 23 products. They have also more recently revealed an add-on strike Garland pack (shields and weapons that add on to make it look like the Strike Garland). Price: 25,800 at HLJ for Garland, 24,510 at CDJ, 23,994 at A-E, 25,300 for the Garland; 64,584 for the blue and white version; 25,704 for the Strike Parts; all at AmiAmi (the latter two appearing to be incentives from the Kickstarter for the new anime); Release: 12/2017 Freeing: 1/20 scale This one wins on robot mode, but the bike mode looks a little crushed together. The video that they put out showing the transformation of this thing looks, in my opinion, terrible. Just way way WAY too finicky. On the other hand, it's an E=X Garland, and I've wanted one since I first saw Megazone 23 Part III, and never thought we'd get one. The figure that comes with it looks kind of cool. Price: 26,213 on HLJ, 24,834 on CDJ, 23,460 on A-E; Release: 02/2018 Fewture: 1/20, though it seems closer to 1/15 in robot mode Looks similar to the Yamato, but with more elongation and sharp points. Maybe a little artistic license taken to make it look more dynamic. The paint job definitely looks less plastic and more paint, with a darker color than I think we've seen before. It does look detailed, though the figure that comes with it looks a little iffy. Price: 39,800 on HLJ. 39,800 on CDJ, 37,810 on A-E; Release: 04/2018 So, what are everyone's thoughts, looking at all of these together? The Fewture looks detailed, but I'm not a fan of the paint, and the pricing is just way way too high for my tastes. The Freeing looks cool, but finicky. Tempted to get it due to no other E=X figures being out there, but not sure what you're getting justifies the price. To me, the Arcadia is the only one I'm seriously considering. The pricing is a little more reasonable, but still up there, so I'm on the fence. On the other hand, if this does become a larger line, with multiple versions of the Garland, plus Harguns, maybe cheaper strike packs down the road, and if they have a deal to make figures for the new anime (which may be the case, looking at the Kickstarter incentives), then I know I'm going to be kicking myself later if I don't get this one.
  3. Since Chogokin has it's own dedicated thread, I thought I'd start one for Robot Spirits figures so we don't have dozens of related threads scattered all over the forums. Here, we can discuss our Robot Spirits collections, upcoming releases, and anything else pertaining to this awesome line of mecha figures. I started my RT (Robot Tamashii, not to be confused with Robotech) love affair with the Full Metal Panic figures, and have been extremely impressed with each and every one of them. I have all of the FMP mecha, including two next-to-impossible-to-find Savages. I just received the web-exclusive MITHRIL Emergency Booster set in the mail today and was surprised at how much it's launch catapult resembles some of the MSG Mechanical Chain Base sets. The booster itself is a nice one-size-fits-all design for all versions of the M9 and the ARX-7. In launch mode, the catapult footpads raise up between 45 and 50 degrees, resembling "starting blocks" that track runners use. Overall, it's an awesome accessory for the Side AS figures...which makes me even more excited for the Gray/White Arbalest and Weapon Set in November. I know some people hate the way Bandai releases add-ons like this as aftermarket sets, but I like being able to expand on the figures I already have in my collection. (Photos coming soon) I haven't ventured beyond the FMP series with these figures, but as time goes on, and Bandai adds new series to its lineup, I'm sure I'll branch out...
  4. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Toys coming from Bandai: http://www.poeghostal.com/2010/06/thundercats-toys-coming-from-bandai.html It looks like it's going to look more like a Japanese property.
  5. Hey everyone, It's been a while since I've posted any builds on this site. I think the last was the 1/60 scale drone from Macross Plus....it'll resurface one of these days! My current project a 1/10 scale interpretation of Jim's jeep from Mospeada. At this stage, it's simply a MDF mock-up. I'm hoping to finish it up by the end of the weekend and get started on the actual piece next week. I'll eventually offer this as a kit. I hope you enjoy. More soon.
  6. So the Kickstarter launched for Robotech RPG tactics: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rrpgt/robotech-rpg-tacticstm It easily met it's target already. The miniatures look pretty good but it's quite expensive. $70+$30shipping to get into the game....? I could swallow the $70 but the $30 to shipping outside of the US seems a bit steep. Anyone thought of getting into this? I bought into the $140 pledget (+$30 shipping) but I still might back out to the bare minimum pledge yet. There is 32 days to go. Then again I might not....with no valks to buy my toy budget is actually starting to acumulate money! I might just go through with it for shits and giggles. Anyway..... I know everyone here is not a big fan of Robotech and/or Harmony Gold but it looks kind of cool.
  7. I was checking out my newly-acquired Artmic Bible and damn there is some cool mecha in there. I especially like the stuff from Megazone and Gall Force, but I have never seen any kits for those shows for sale anywhere. So I thought, why not ask the guys on Macross World? If you have pics of your non-Macross mecha, I'd love to see them. Toys, models, whatever. I'm dying to see what you got.
  8. Hi All? Anybody here interested in doing paper models of mecha, figures? Myself want to get back into for a few reasons. 1) Need to keep those skills sharpened. 2) Cost most models are free and the only expenditure is materials like paper, glue, printing, etc. 3) Not much in kits coming out that makes my list for purchases. 4) Also want to get back into resin/figure kits, can't afford plastic and resin kits at same time. 5) I don't do Toys or or other collectibles. So far downloaded a few Destroids, 4 Valkyrie, 2 Tron Lightcycle 1 Legioss and a massive Lambda/Tydirium Shuttle(very complex Buldi..
  9. A friend of mine is an awesome Prop builder so I asked him to build the H-90 Gallant and to make it Modular as a one off for me. I am aware of a project to make the Gallant for sale, however with import of RIFs to the UK, figured safer to just find a UK based builder. So with a little artistic license, Rare Earth Magnets, a Very stable and solid modular GALLANT weapon. Next step is now to find a Hard shell case for display/transport. I do have plans for a CV-3 armour set too.
  10. So I love the new Lego Cuusoo projects and recently picked up the Delorean which is amazing, but here's a fun one. It just reached enough votes but I think there is going to be a huge issue to actually getting this into production due to Harmony Gold or just licensing in general but the Lego VF-1 fully transformable with Armored, Super, and Strike parts just met it's goal for possible production consideration. http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/638 He also has variant versions including Max and Miria, and the Skull versions from DYRL http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/84284 Another project that just reached their goals include the Ecto-1 with all four Ghostbusters http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/36088 and of course the main site with other potentials http://lego.cuusoo.com
  11. Just out of curiosity, what are the best forums for Gundam modeling? I know of Gundam Eclipse and Hobbyfanatics, but that's about it and I'd like to broaden my Gundam horizons. Thanks in advance!
  12. Okay the next new project that Thor and I will be attempting will be the Gallant H-90 sidearm from MOSPEADA. I have always thought the weapon was very cool and it turns out Thor does too. So we will be making the Gallant complete with interchangeable parts. (barrel extension, rifle stock etc.) I have attached the preliminary CAD drawing I have done and will be posting my progress as this replica is being made. Thor will be doing some #D renderings so that we can get the parts to fit together right so watch for those too. Any suggestions, comments are also welcomed.
  13. We all have some sort of Hobbies from watching Anime to Toys and yes even Nerf Guns. I thought I Start a thread devoted to Keeping pets. I ll start it off with 2 new aquisitions, My first Saltwater tank. This 40G was my first attempt at converting a regular aquarium to a wet/dry internal passive filtration. A lot of work went into it with the failure rate being high since I never done this and used tube videos and talking to people how to do it. Well It was successful and yesterday I add some live corel and to my freshwater tank I have added a Bangar Red Arowana Birth Certificate
