  1. Old Thread: This thread is for non-Macross "just purchased" toys. Just Purchased Macross Toys thread here:
  2. https://macross.fandom.com/wiki/DX_Chogokin ...is an example of a catalog/guide for DX Chogokin, but had any other site attempted a more inclusive tally of the various, non-KO 1/55 through 1/72 Valkyrie, Destroid and Misc.Vehicle brands? The most elusive aspect of toy data "appears" to be final production figures (counts) for the purpose of knowing rarity. Any insights to why, and how to investigate?
  3. I recieved a commission to paint and old takatoku, I gave it my best and I am updating some pics here of the results and process
  4. I translated another Miyatake interview, this time focusing on ORGUSS. I put this up on the front page, but the auto-link discussion thread that is usually created ended up being buried in the "Collectors" forum for some reason. Anyway, check it out: http://www.macrossworld.com/kazutaka-miyatake-interview-from-megahouse-variable-action-hi-spec-orguss/

  6. From the album: My Macross Collection

A "Holy Grail" question finally achieved! GBP-1S set fitted up to a Bandai reissue VF-1J. Seems to fit fine.

    Takatoku VF-1S

From the album: My Macross Collection

Something of a 'holy grail' piece for me. Worn box and a bit aged, missing the missiles. But used decals perfect for scanning, clean body in excellent shape, and all paperwork. Just a little work needed.

    SD Valk Head Dryfit 1

From the album: Custom DYRL 1A 1/55 Head Project

A closer shot of the dryfit of Bandai SD Super Max VF-1A SD kit's head to reissue Hikaru Bandai 1/55 DYRL VF-1A (which I obtained minus its original head, fitted with an old Jetfire head instead), to check scale & style. Looks in-scale, and the big SD-style eye doesn't look out of place on the big, blocky 1/55 body design.

  10. Has anyone here used Monster Kolor spray paints on Takatoku/Bandai Macross toys? I've got a Takatou 1/3000 SDF Macross that's got badly-yellowed white parts, and blue parts that are going a bit aqua. I'm strongly considering just taking it apart and repainting it at this point. (I have a set of repro decals for it, so that issue is covered.) Of course there's always issues with paint wear on moving parts, engineering tolerance issues when paint is introduced on non-painted mechanisms, etc, etc. - I do have those concerns clearly in mind. My questions involve how well MK spray white (or blue) works - how thick it tends to be, how opaque at light coats, etc? So, does anyone have any direct experience using MK paints on the classic Macross transforming toys, or other similar transforming toys made from rigid ABS vs today's more pliant plastics?

  19. K- I recently saved up my pennies and waited patiently to find a Takatoku Valkyrie online... ...and eventually bought the guy you see below. (Feel free to congratulate me ) Because it's complete, it comes with a little advert featuring some other Takotoku goodies. And low and behold, I see the VF-1D. Has this toy ever been produced by Takatoku? Was this company ever going to produce ths? Thanks.
