  1. Aaaand back to Macross! Maybe. So as I had stated in a previous thread, there were some outstanding Macross subjects still needing to be done, namely the Zentradi battle suits. I'm offering this subject as the next contender in the 1/72 series, which would have the following characteristics: - based on the TV series design -can be built with cockpit open or closed -in-scale with my previously-released Zentradi soldier, so will be quite a large kit (22.5-23cm tall!) Due to its size and the complexity of the sculpt, this would NOT be a cheap offering at 355.00 Canadian ($285 US approximately) but it would be... Glorious!!! As you have all put a $200 CAD deposit, there is the $155 CAD outstanding balance on the kits as well as the shipping fees which are as follows: $30.00 CAD up to 2 kits for USA/Canada $72.00 CAD for international shipping. Also very important: please add an extra 5% to the total to cover transaction fees if there are any. Generally PP will let you know before you send if there are fees and ask you if you will pay or make the recipient pay. I will commence casting on Monday once I test and group the molds for optimum casting.
  2. I am interested in this VF-4 kit however I wanted to see if anyone has purchased it before? I would like to know their opinion of it, such as build time, glue used and such. Also since I can not read Japanese does anyone know what they needed to purchased for this kit? I know you have the purchase the screws...now how many of each I am unsure of. Lastly do you purchase the ball joint separately ? If s,o where do you get these from. Any opinions and help would be grateful. Thank you. http://experten.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/vf4/index.html
  3. Hi guys! This was my last project finished in 2014. Nupetiet-Vergnitzs is a 1/8000 resin kit that you can get from Scale Solutions. For this kit I experimented with Molotow Paints, wich are spray cans used for Graffittis. I realy like these paints, It will be my option for base color on large kits. But, in the other hand, if I would have used acrylic paints, I would have been able to make bigger chips. Anyway, I'm happy for have discovered these paints. SDF-1 is the 80's Arii version, a little hard to find these days, but not impossible. I hope do you like it!!
  4. Well, this didn't take nearly as long to finish as I thought it would. Here's the 1/4000 scale SDF-1 Macross, DYRL version resin kit from Yellow Submarine. No decal work, everything painted. That's why I though it would take me a long time, especially with the ARMD's.
  5. The time has come for the heavy artillery! So here's my proposal: a resin kit in my usual style and quality that will have the following features: -free-pose build (build it in the pose you want), fingers too. -the option of having open or closed missile bays (shoulders) -translucent canopy with detailed cockpit interior (no pilot though) -can be built as the dude or chick model (just sand off the head antenna) I'll also look into making the cockpit hatch open with the seat deploy. Worst case you'll have to choose open or closed build versions if the hinge mechanism is too intrusive/complex. We'd be looking at a price-point of $215 Canadian bucks (about $200 US) and I would need 30 orders to get the ball rolling. Who's with me?? I will also accept payments in Bitcoins for the brave pioneers among you
  6. Hello, Here is a review of the superb ES-11D "Cat's Eye", (too) shortly appearing in the 10th episode ('Blind Game") of the original Macross serie. So far as I know, the kit has been originally casted by John Moscato, and now reboxed by Neptune Models. The box : What we can found in the box : The assembly guide, composed by a dozen of sheets in colour : The totallity of the pieces : The fuselage, about 25 cm long. The fittings seem very good : The cockpit, good level of detail : Clear parts : Details : Folding wings options : Landing gear parts : Thruster : The radar, made in a single piece of resin : : And the decal sheet : Thanks for reading Regards,
  7. Metal Box is developing a new adition to their Macross SD collection: The Reguld! I don't know you guys, but I been waiting for this for a looong time. More info in their webpage: http://www.metal-box.jp/mb/?id=1286
  8. Wow, two completed builds on the same page! Guess a heavily cut work schedule was good for something! Here's the latest addition to my collection. A 1/72 scale VT-1 Super Ostrich resin kit from Yellow Submarine & Club M. Yes, it's a bit dated compared to the Hasegawa's, but it's still fun to give these old kits a little love. Besides, I can always use more practice with resin. The Minmei figure did not come with the kit, it's one from Studio Starforge. As usual, more can be seen here.
  9. Post your links for your build ups or completed models threads here. Resin kits, plastic injection or scratch. Let other kit builders know where your thread is or if you want, post pics here.
  10. Some pics of non-Macross related figures I took at Wonderfest today. In particular, I thought the Megahouse Dragon Crown figures looked amazing. And the Megadrive Megatron is, of course, a must-buy ;-) (EDIT: The uploader seems to have thrown the order of the pics into a bit of a mess, sorry!)
  11. My second project: Build a variable alpha legioss resin kit (approximately 10 inches high for the battroid mode ) The right leg and landing gear prototypes were build with cardboards. I will make the real ones with plastic cards. Landing gear deployed Landing gear retracted The leg's design has been refined,it looks better than the 1/45 legioss : I like it.Softline design... B))
  12. Hey guys: In case you're not already aware, there is a great hobby and collectibles show happening at the Crowne Plaza Fairfield Hotel in New Jersey in September called the "Jerseyfest Model Kit & Statue Fair". If you're a hobbyist, it will be worth attending regardless of what type or scale kits you collect and build. Many people from all over the nation and even abroad are attending the weekend long event. Besides the show having many top vendors (some with quite unique and rare models) and artists with great kits and hobby supplies for sale and display, it also has legendary movie model making and effects artists participating and doing presentations. This includes the chief model maker from Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) Studios for the Star Wars movies, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, etc. and the original Stan Winston Studios effects artist who created the Predator. Besides the vendors, there will be lots of model related demos, classes, special presentations, exhibits, hobby parties, etc., plus an incredible model and art contest with great trophies, plaques and prizes. Learn more about the show here: www.jerseyfestfair.com.
  13. 1/100 scale VF-1D. 1/100 scale Zentradi figure. they're also doing a 1/100 scale VF-4, Hikaru's Skull Squadron version, but no pictures yet. Oh, and here's the N-Jer (DYRL version) they did a while back. Someone was asking about buying one.
  14. Just saw it listed: http://www.hlj.com/product/MTBMB-23 http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-3111&page=top Previous discussion: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36352 Similar Macross product from that lines were all convention only limited release. The company also has a "MB Gokin" metal toy line released with co-operation with Yamato, for example, but no hint of if the toy line will include Macross.
  15. Browsing through Yahoo Japan auctions, and I came across a Meltrandi ship, put out by a company called "Flat Factory". Looks like it was available for sale at the recent Treasure Festa. Pictures to be found here. Here's the auction, for the next 2 days at least.
  16. What all is included in this kit? Of course it comes with the VF-11, but are the Super Packs, and booster included as well? They're on the instruction sheet in the Legacy Models sections, but the sheet scan doesn't have the parts inventory page. Anyone have one of these, and can tell me for sure what all is in the box? Thanks!
  17. How could I let 2012 go without doing another VF-4? Here is Milia's VF-4 Racing Custom. I had really hoped that the 'Macross: The Ride' racing series would encourage people to do some more racing customs. I love military aircraft, but I also love racers, with their crazy colour schemes and sponsor logos plastered all over the place. I thought about Milia - a pilot hotshot, no longer in active duty. What would she do? Why not race with a hotted-up retro VF-4! However, this V4-F has some pretty substantial... modifications. From the souped up engines, reformed cowlings, control surfaces and even wings... a lot has been replaced in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. Custom decals were produced, one with a fun little spin on Milia's origins. Some were cribbed from a Macross decals option sheet. While I love weathering, somehow, it didn't seem appropriate for a racer like this. It was all about chrome and gloss finishes, and black, red and white. Enjoy the pics. Thanks for looking! Regards, Petar
  18. I'm back to customizing some valks after a long hiatus. I was wondering if anyone was still making custom parts for the chunky 1/55 valks. Rob Beer's stuff is what I've been wanting. Is he still in action or anyone else? PM me if necessary with any information or if you have anything along with what you want for them. It doesn't matter if it's broken or has bubbles. I have some jetfires with armor so I really don't need any of that, mostly other head casts and other armor sets. Thanks guys.
  19. These were statues that were custom painted for Kirik. They were sculpted by Philip Sustachek. Not exactly WIp but pics taken at different times.
