  1. One of the funniest films of all-time turns 40 this year. Monty Python and the Holy Grail will be released in a limited edition "Holy Grail" Blu-ray boxed set on October 27.
  2. Ready Player One is an upcoming dystopian sci-fi film directed by Steven Spielberg, based on the 2011 novel by Ernest Cline (Fanboys). The film stars Tye Sheridan (Scott/Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse), Olivia Cooke (Emma in Bates Motel), Ben Mendelsohn (John Daggett in The Dark Knight Rises, Orson Krennic in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Mark Rylance (Rudolf Abel in Bridge of Spies), Simon Pegg (Scotty in Star Trek [2009], Unkar Plutt in Star Wars: The Force Awakens), and T. J. Miller (Lucas in Transformers: Age of Extinction, Tuffnut in How to Train Your Dragon). The film is slated for release on March 30, 2018. Ready Player One @ IMDb
  3. Coming to theaters on November 25 is The Good Dinosaur, which may be Pixar's most difficult project. Originally slated for release in 2014, the film experienced production problems toward the third act to a point where the whole film had to be scrubbed and the entire voice cast had to be changed after original director Bob Peterson left the project. Peter Sohn (Partly Cloudy) stepped in to finish the film. And here's a first look at the final product. Official Site
  4. I never saw the original series, so I don't know much about that, But this looks really good. Definitely fun and its great to see Cavil spreading out from the Superman role. Although I am hoping for a gag reel where he opens his shirt to show the 'S'!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Ky4KPzKwY

  6. Remember the 2007 film adaptation of the popular video game series Hitman? No one does. So naturally, someone makes a film reboot. To coincide with the upcoming video game reboot by IO Entertainment and Square Enix, we have Hitman: Agent 47, starring Rupert Friend as the numbered assassin Agent 47. Also in the film are Zachary Quinto (Spock in the current Star Trek film series), Hanna Ware (Donna in Oldboy), Angelababy (Rain in Independence Day: Resurgence), and Thomas Kretschmann (Fegelein in Downfall, Baron Strucker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). Hitman: Agent 47 premieres on August 21. And we all know what one certain assassin has to say... Official Site

Self/less is directed by Tarsem Singh (Immortals, Mirror Mirror) and stars Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Mandarin in Iron Man 3), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Green Lantern), Matthew Goode (Ozymandias in Watchmen), and Michelle Dockery (Nancy in Non-Stop). 8. Well There are three Hulkbuster toys 2 are from the last movie and very expensive and 1 just being stupid expensive and 1 affordable and pretty cool based off the comic I had the Hot Toys on pre-order but for around 1200 canadian, they can kiss my ass cancelled. Then there is the King Arts Hulkbuster, smaller version of the hot toys but diecast and 600 dollars. You can fit inside an actual 1/9 iron man https://www.facebook.com/kingartshk/videos/1018119884887343/ and then sentinels version Now I am trying to pre-order but not BBTS because I am not going to give BBTS 200 canadian to hold for 1.5 years. No way. That is bullshit. So I called my Hong Kong supplier and see if he can get it. But for sure the sentinel one is bought
  9. By Crom! The Oak himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will return as the legendary Cimmerian warrior in The Legend of Conan. According to producer/co-writer Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious 3-7, 47 Ronin), the new film will not be a reboot, but a direct sequel to Conan the Barbarian (thus making Conan the Destroyer non-canon). Arnold Schwarzenegger's The Legend of Conan Will Be Brutal Sequel, Bringing Back Some Original Cast
  10. "The movies, nowadays. That's the trouble. Sequels and remakes, bunch of crap." - Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) Without a doubt, Transformers: Age of Extinction is one of the worst sci-fi films ever produced. Unfortunately, its total earnings of US$1.1 billion means we're getting more Transformers films. However, there will be numerous changes (not including less humans, sadly): - Michael Bay originally stated he will not return as director, but Paramount threw enough money for him to stay. - Mark Wahlberg will be reprising his role as the bumbling "inventor" Cade Yeager. No word if Cade's hoochie daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) or her Irish boyfriend Shane (Jack Reynor) are returning. I hope not. - Akiva Goldsman (Batman & Robin, Lost in Space), who was once attached to the live-action Robotech project, is in talks to write the screenplay. - Hasbro is looking at a 2017 release date. Mark Wahlberg Just Found a Transformers Sequel More Transformers Movies: Akiva Goldsman to Ramp Up Spinoffs and Sequels Hasbro Expects 2017 Transformers Release Date
  11. Early this year, it was announced that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures signed an agreement to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both companies will produce yet another Spider-Man reboot, which is slated for release on July 28, 2017. Here are the details so far: - According to Marvel president Kevin Feige, this reboot will not have an origin story, but would take inspiration from Batman Begins. Compared to the previous films, Spidey will retain his humorous side. - Jon Watts (Clown, Cop Car) has signed on as the director. - British actor Tom Holland (Billy Elliot the Musical) is the new Peter Parker. - Oscar-winning actress Marisa Tomei (Mona Lisa Vito in My Cousin Vinny, Cassidy in The Wrestler) is the new Aunt May. Is this character getting younger in every reboot? Spider-Man Reboot: No Origin, Lots of Humor Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios Find Their Spider-Man Star and Director
  12. War for the Planet of the Apes is the third film in the current Planet of the Apes film series, following the critically acclaimed 2014 film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) returns to the director's chair on this project; he will also co-write the screenplay with Matt Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, The Wolverine). Since it's the continuing saga of Caesar and his tribe, there's no doubt that Andy Serkis (Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain Haddock in The Adventures of Tintin) will reprise his motion capture performance. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 14, 2017. Exclusive: New Planet of the Apes Movie Title Revealed
  13. The Walk is an upcoming 3D biographical film directed by Robert Zemeckis (Used Cars, Beowulf) about French high-wire artist Philippe Petit's walk across the World Trade Center's twin towers in 1974. Uncharacteristically, Ron Perlman is not in this film, considering that he's been in nearly all of Del Toro's works. The film premieres on October 16, just in time for Halloween season. Crimson Peak @ IMDb
  15. One of Europe's most beloved storybooks gets a new big screen treatment this year. The Little Prince is directed by Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda) and features the voices of Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, Starman), Rachel McAdams (Irene in Sherlock Holmes, Regina in Mean Girls), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man, Brian in Anchorman), Marion Cotillard (Talia in The Dark Knight Rises, Mal in Inception), James Franco (Harry Osborn in Spider-Man 1-3, David Skylark in The Interview), Benicio del Toro (The Collector in Thor: The Dark World and Guardians of the Galaxy), Ricky Gervais (Dr. McPhee in Night at the Museum, David Brent in The Office), Bud Cort, Paul Giamatti (Limbo in Planet of the Apes, Aleksei/Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Albert Brooks (Marlin in Finding Nemo, Bernie in Drive), and Mackenzie Foy (young Murph in Interstellar). 21. Mr. Holmes is the latest film adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, based on the 2005 novel A Slight Trick of the Mind by Mitch Cullin. The film is directed by Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1-2, Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh). Rather than being a continuing adventure of the famed English detective in the late 19th century, the film takes place in 1947, with Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto in the X-Men series, Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings series) playing 95-year-old Holmes. This is gonna be one depressing film. Mr. Holmes premieres in the UK on June 19 and in the U.S. on July 17. Mr. Holmes @ IMDb
  22. Coming to theaters on July 24 is Pixels, a sci-fi comedy remake of the 2010 French short film of the same name. Directed by Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Bicentennial Man), the film is about an alien invasion in the form of '80s video game icons such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. Unfortunately, it also stars Adam Sandler, which means this film will be a likely entry on the Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time thread. Pixels @ IMDb
  23. It's common for Liam Neeson's action thriller films to be mistaken for Taken sequels, yet be better than the actual Taken sequels. Take Run All Night, for example. Also starring in this film are Joel Kinnaman (not-RoboCop), Ed Harris (Christof in The Truman Show, Carl Fogarty in A History of Violence), Boyd Holbrook (some male fashion model), Bruce McGill (Jack Dalton in MacGyver), Génesis Rodríguez (Honey Lemon in Big Hero 6, Agent Richards in The Last Stand), Vincent D'Onofrio (Edgar in Men in Black, Orson Welles in Ed Wood), Common (Barnes in Terminator Salvation, Agent Evans in Now You See Me), and Nick Nolte (Jack in 48 Hrs., Paddy in Warrior). The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra who also did Unknown and Non-Stop. Why didn't he direct the Taken sequels? Run All Night is now showing in theaters. Official Site Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 59% Metacritic Score: 59 out of 100
