  1. Hi Guys!! I want to share with you my personal Macross page, where I upload my Macross scale models, wallpaper made with my hasegawa models and other beautiful models. http://www.facebook.com/ArquimiaModels I hope you enjoy and share my albums and pictures Thank you
  2. Bandai will be releasing 1/48 and 1/72 Star Wars models. I would love to see Star Wars kits with Gunpla MG/RG color separation. They also showed a 1/1700 scale Star Destroyer with lighting effects. Don't know if that will be an actual kit. http://www.actionfigurefury.com/band...toy-show-2014/
  3. Post your links for your build ups or completed models threads here. Resin kits, plastic injection or scratch. Let other kit builders know where your thread is or if you want, post pics here.
  4. The VF-1 Riders. I've seen a lot of their work on the net, and it's pretty phenomenal. But does anyone know more about them? How many members, where are they located, how can you join? Even if you don't know, click the link and enjoy their work.
  5. I was wodering is there any zone of enders mech toys out there?
  6. Bandai just updated the mysteriously blank www.gundam-bf.net and we have been given an interesting promo and told to expect the full reveal on July 2. There was also a blurb on Gundam.info. Google Translate sucks. It sounds like an anime but why the model scale designator 1/144? I guess we'll find out.
  7. My second project: Build a variable alpha legioss resin kit (approximately 10 inches high for the battroid mode ) The right leg and landing gear prototypes were build with cardboards. I will make the real ones with plastic cards. Landing gear deployed Landing gear retracted The leg's design has been refined,it looks better than the 1/45 legioss : I like it.Softline design... B))
  8. Hey every one, I am new to the forums here and this is my frist post, so I may have this in the wrong spot. 10. So I'm a fan of the recent Ace Combat's damage model system called "Steel carnage". I had a few Hasegawa models lying around and I thought, "why not blow them up in Photoshop?". So that's what I did. I'm going to do more of these in the future because it's fun making metal bleed! Follow me as I post more of these on my tumblr and Deviantart! http://the-valkyrie-hangar.tumblr.com/ http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/
  11. just saw this blurb at TagHobby: The Mobile Battleship NADESICO: http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-1/art-spirits-發售日未定-『機動戰艦』-nergal-nd-001-nadesico/ specs: MSRP at 12800y (13824y with tax, i reckon) size: 23cm release-date: 11/14

  13. I figured I'd start a thread about the VF-2SS Valkyrie from Macross II. I'm attempting to sneak in some Macross II profiles for the M3 before Macross Frontier gets underway in April. I'm very unfamiliar with Macross II. Unlike all the other Macross shows, I've only ever seen Macross II once and it was many years ago. Needless to say I didn't care for it, but I'm building a VF-2SS profile now so I'll need a bit of help. First off, I need to know if I got the colors correct. All the pictures online are very deceiving about the VF-2SS and some seem to give the fighter a blue tint. SO I've created a small comparison picture that I'd like fans to review and comment. EDIT Removed original pictures and inserted the most up to date color set Aside from the color, I'd like some information about the VF-2SS. There is next to nothing as far as statistics or official write ups, so the any official information you can provide would be appreciated. hellohikaru and Jedi Knight made a poster that contained some information, can they (or anyone else) confirm if these statistics are canon? Basically, I'm looking for facts and trivia I can build into a "Macross Mecha Manual-like" profile. What did the VF-2SS do? What are its capabilities? What is more advanced than previous generation Valkyries? If You've read the profiles on the M3, try to think about the kind of information that would fit into such a profile for the VF-2SS. Any help is appreciated.
  14. Hi there, I live in Shanghai and a huge macross fan. Does anyone here know any model shops where I can make a model?
  15. I was checking out my newly-acquired Artmic Bible and damn there is some cool mecha in there. I especially like the stuff from Megazone and Gall Force, but I have never seen any kits for those shows for sale anywhere. So I thought, why not ask the guys on Macross World? If you have pics of your non-Macross mecha, I'd love to see them. Toys, models, whatever. I'm dying to see what you got.
  16. I just found this amazing Imperator Class Star Destroyer model built by a Korean Star Wars fan. In addition to the amazing build and incredible paint job, it features what has to be the most amazing model lighting I've ever seen for the Star Wars Star Destroyer, right down to orange area lighting and blue-white hangar bay illumination. The placard even has Engrish! http://blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=no1jujil&logNo=130177875505&redirect=Dlog Astounding work worth looking at.
  17. Anyone planning to get these? Info: http://startrek-starships.com/usa/index.asp I have the first three issues and ships on the way. I've seen photos on the web of the finished goods and they look very nice and detailed! (especially the -D). They plan on releasing lots of ships. Hope we get a Steamrunner someday .
  18. Seems legit... Source: http://www.tomopop.com/kotobukiya-is-making-a-metal-gear-rex-plamo-kit-25526.phtml
  19. Greeting MWers... been forever and a day since I last posted here. While helping a friend move we stumbled across these little gems. My knowledge of orguss is pretty limited, but it dates back to the days of SDF Macross. Both appear to be legit, and appear to be complete, so I am looking for some information on them. I have already hit up the bay and prices seem to be all over the place, and usually I find the ARII models which from what I am reading are IMAI reissues, Unless I read otherwise, there is a good chance that neither of these has seen any daylight in 20+ years. So with that out of the way, I am looking for any info on these guys. Value if any? Rarity.. etc. etc. Thanks for the assist. Rob
  20. Hi All? Anybody here interested in doing paper models of mecha, figures? Myself want to get back into for a few reasons. 1) Need to keep those skills sharpened. 2) Cost most models are free and the only expenditure is materials like paper, glue, printing, etc. 3) Not much in kits coming out that makes my list for purchases. 4) Also want to get back into resin/figure kits, can't afford plastic and resin kits at same time. 5) I don't do Toys or or other collectibles. So far downloaded a few Destroids, 4 Valkyrie, 2 Tron Lightcycle 1 Legioss and a massive Lambda/Tydirium Shuttle(very complex Buldi..
  21. Some pics of non-Macross related figures I took at Wonderfest today. In particular, I thought the Megahouse Dragon Crown figures looked amazing. And the Megadrive Megatron is, of course, a must-buy ;-) (EDIT: The uploader seems to have thrown the order of the pics into a bit of a mess, sorry!)
  22. A friend of mine is an awesome Prop builder so I asked him to build the H-90 Gallant and to make it Modular as a one off for me. I am aware of a project to make the Gallant for sale, however with import of RIFs to the UK, figured safer to just find a UK based builder. So with a little artistic license, Rare Earth Magnets, a Very stable and solid modular GALLANT weapon. Next step is now to find a Hard shell case for display/transport. I do have plans for a CV-3 armour set too.
  23. I had a couple of Dorvack (or Dorvack inspired) kits when I was a kid. Now that I have some better skills, I'd like to try them again. One was a fully variable Calibur (jeep mecha) Not sure on the scale, maybe 72nd? The other was an armored suit with flying sled. This one had LEDs for the cannons and the main sled gun was spring loaded. Any help in identifying what these kits might have been would be great. Again, these were styrene kits, not toys. The only Calibur kit I have googled up is a jeep only mode, but the one I had was fully variable. Thanks in advance
  24. Hello MW! Hopefully nobody minds if I just start up this thread to capture my progress as I delve into the scifi genre a little more and give my newly acquired Macross models some love. I started the Hasegawa Spacewolf model in 1/72 back on the 'What lying on your workbench...' thread and figured I would give it a home of it's own. The Hasegawa kit, for those interested, practically falls together. It was a headache free, simple build that would see little weathering or preshading as I intended to display it in a cross over scheme as a Macross realm prototype. Purists may hate it, and Harlock fans may shake their fists... but I just had to do it. I mean, come on! - the decal sheet sports skull squadron markings! Here's some pics of my build so far. I meant to keep this build light and easy, but I still needed to resolve how to arm it with a large calibre gatling gun as promised in the other thread. I resorted to casting the barrel end of the riptide kit from Games Workshop/Citadel and it fit really nicely on the sawed off intake trunk. I chose the red/black scheme as a bastardization (I've come this far right?) of the orange test schemes we see in history. I figured the white decals will really make for a striking contrast once they're applied. I shaved all the elongated aerodynamic bits off the wing tips and rudders. That aspect of the kit was cool and all, but didn't appeal to me. The burner can and gatling gun received a light gun metal finish and eventually the whole model will have a panel line wash with promodeler product. The cockpit area will remain black, with no fanfare or extra detailing via paints. At this scale it's a bonus to have knobby things included but once that canopy is installed you can forget seeing it from inside my display case. I chose this tamiya yellow green for my interior coatings, like the WW2 chromate used in that period. I felt it was fitting as so much of this aircraft feels inspired by the planes of the age. I did the landing gear in the same color and then washed the items and bays with citadel's badab black wash thinned with plain old water. It settles nicely and is a worry free detail aid. Under wing hard points are intended for big, clumsy looking drop tanks. I intend to attach some Macross goodies once they arrive in the mail and I've had a chance to duplicate them. Enjoy... C+C welcome. modelglue
