  1. Through all the doom and gloom of Marvel Comics writting out mutants because of Fox, Marvel TV is now co-producing a new X-Men tv show. Will this show feature crossovers with AoS or Netflix Marvel? If that happens this could be huge. Fingers crossed http://www.cnet.com/news/x-men-marvel-tv-show-coming-fox/ http://nypost.com/2016/07/13/fox-is-developing-an-x-men-tv-series/

  3. Memories of rick leonardi's artwork in cloak and dagger. *warms my heart*
  4. I have heard that Benedict Cumberbatch is the #1 choice, but that is still in negotiations. But if true, he needs to do Sherlock series 4 first, dammit.
  5. This went out over Twitter and stumped most of us since this sounded like a cash grab (and likely still is cuz really, they're doing this AGAIN...). But then this came out a few hours later: Robert Downey Jr. to Join Captain America 3′ (EXCLUSIVE) And we put the 2 together. So we're likely going down the road of Civil War for #3.

  7. Months before X-Men: Days of Future Past was released, it was announced that the next film in the X-Men series will be X-Men: Apocalypse. Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) will once again direct this installment, with the screenplay written by Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand, Jumper), Dan Harris (X2, Superman Returns), and Michael Dougherty (X2, Superman Returns). The film will take place in the 1980s and will focus more on the origin of the mutants. The confirmed cast are as follows: Returning Cast James McAvoy (Victor Frankenstein, Nicholas in The Last King of Scotland) as Professor Charles Xavier Michael Fassbender (David in Prometheus, Lt. Hickox in Inglourious Basterds) as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss in The Hunger Games, Tiffany in The Silver Linings Playbook) as Raven Darkholme/Mystique Nicholas Hoult (R in Warm Bodies, Nux in Mad Max: Fury Road) as Hank McCoy/Beast Evan Peters (Max Cooperman in Never Back Down 1-2, Todd in Kick-Ass) as Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver Rose Byrne (Renai in Insidious, Kelly in Neighbors) as Moira MacTaggert Lucas Till as Alex Summers/Havok Josh Helman (Slit in Mad Max: Fury Road) as William Stryker New Cast Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Nathan in Ex Machina) as Apocalypse Tye Sheridan (Ellis in Mud) as Scott Summers/Cyclops Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey Alexandra Shipp as Ororo Munroe/Storm Kodi Smit-McPhee (Alexander in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler Ben Hardy as Warren Worthington III/Angel Lana Condor as Jubilation Lee/Jubilee Olivia Munn as Betsy Braddock/Psylocke Tómas Lemarquis (Egg-head in Snowpiercer) as Caliban Hugh Jackman continues his streak of appearing on every X-Men film as Logan/Wolverine. X-Men Apocalypse is scheduled for release on May 27, 2016. Filming will commence in Montreal on April 2015. 8. Last announcement of the night. Those at SDCC 2012 were treated to test footage of the concept they wanted to do. Hopefully someone or Marvel will post the concept footage.
  9. The Fantastic Four will undergo yet another reboot in 2015, after the 2005 film and its sequel failed to live up to expectations. Josh Trank (Chronicle) has been given the director's chair, while Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass) and Akiva Goldsman (Batman & Robin, Jonah Hex) are on-board as producers. Screenplay is by Michael Green (Green Lantern) and Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Dark Shadows). Filming crew has moved from Vancouver to Louisiana due to better tax incentives. Currently, no actors have been named to portray the Fantastic Four or Doctor Doom, though it was heavily rumored that Michael B. Jordan (Steve in Chronicle) was to be cast as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Miles Teller (Sutter in The Spectacular Now) as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, and Allison Williams (Marnie in Girls) as Susan Storm/Invisible Girl. The reboot is scheduled for release on March 6, 2015, and is said to share continuity with the X-Men series after Days of Future Past.
  10. Coming to Disney XD on September 26 is the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series. While it continues where the first film left off, it will not be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so don't expect anything leading to Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
  11. Long before the release of The Amazing Spider-Man, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced May 2, 2014 as the release date for the as-yet-untitled sequel. Marc Webb will return to the director's chair and Andrew Garfield has been confirmed to once again wear the mask and web shooters. Emma Stone will also be returning as Gwen Stacy. Other than that, here are some of the rumors and news bits surrounding the sequel: Production James Vanderbilt, who wrote this year's reboot, was contracted to write the sequel. However, Sony has also contracted Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek, Transformers) and Jeff Pinkner (Fringe, Lost) to rewrite Vanderbilt's draft. Filming has supposedly begun this month in London. Casting J. K. Simmons has expressed interest in reprising his role as J. Jonah Jameson from the Sam Raimi trilogy. Like there's anyone else who can play that role perfectly. Shailene Woodley (Amy in The Secret Life of an American Teenager, Alexandra in The Descendants) will play Mary Jane Watson, but in a very small role before getting more screen time on the third film. At least it's not Kirsten Dunst anymore. Jamie Foxx (Ray, Django Unchained) has been confirmed to play the villain Max Dillon/Electro. Dane DeHaan (Jesse in In Treatment, Andrew in Chronicle) was confirmed by Webb to play Harry Osborn. No word on Norman Osborn and whether or not Willem Dafoe will reprise his role from the Sam Raimi trilogy. According to Webb, Martin Sheen will reprise his role as Ben Parker - most likely in flashback scenes. Denis Leary had joked in one of the Blu-ray documentaries about making a petition to return in the sequel as Capt. George Stacy. More news to come in the next few months. 13. Only because they've announced it at SDCC 2012... For those that are not familiar the "Winter Soldier", I'd suggest some light reading of Captain America Vol. 1: Winter Soldier-graphic novel. Or just look it up on Wikipedia.
  14. http://collider.com/iron-man-3-shane-black/76695/ I'm a big fan of Shane Black. I think he should write and direct the next Bond movie. But this is just as good since he's working with RDJ again after Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which was pure win for me. Hopefully they keep the look and feel that Favraeu set up.
  15. Next year, Marvel will once again go anime-style. 17. Hey guys: In case you're not already aware, there is a great hobby and collectibles show happening at the Crowne Plaza Fairfield Hotel in New Jersey in September called the "Jerseyfest Model Kit & Statue Fair". If you're a hobbyist, it will be worth attending regardless of what type or scale kits you collect and build. Many people from all over the nation and even abroad are attending the weekend long event. Besides the show having many top vendors (some with quite unique and rare models) and artists with great kits and hobby supplies for sale and display, it also has legendary movie model making and effects artists participating and doing presentations. This includes the chief model maker from Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) Studios for the Star Wars movies, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, etc. and the original Stan Winston Studios effects artist who created the Predator. Besides the vendors, there will be lots of model related demos, classes, special presentations, exhibits, hobby parties, etc., plus an incredible model and art contest with great trophies, plaques and prizes. Learn more about the show here: www.jerseyfestfair.com.

  19. Iron Man: Rise of Technovore (アイアンマン ライズ・オブ・テクノヴォア) Madhouse Studios/Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures Entertainment, 2013 Directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki (Texhnolyze, Ai Monogatari) Based upon characters created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber and Don Heck Running TIme: 88 minutes Rated PG-13 for graphic violence and strong language. Cast (English) Mathew Mercer (Tygra in ThunderCats, Kiritsugu in Fate/Zero) as Tony Stark/Iron Man Eric Bauza (Fiendish Dr. Wu in Black Dynamite: The Animated Series) as Ezekiel Stane/Technovore James C. Mathis III (T'Challa/Black Panther in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes) as Col. James Rhodes/War Machine John Bentley (Fire Emblem in Tiger & Bunny) as Nick Fury Kate Higgins (Sakura in Naruto, Karin in Bleach) as Pepper Potts Kari Wahlgren (Witch Hunter Robin, Cher in Wolf's Rain) as Maria Hill Norman Reedus (Murphy in The Boondock Saints, Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead) as Frank Castle/The Punisher Troy Baker (Schneizel in Code Geass) as J.A.R.V.I.S. and Clint Barton/Hawkeye Clare Grant as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow Tara Platt (Temari in Naruto, Anna Williams in Tekken: Blood Vengeance) as Sasha Hammer J. B. Blanc (Joker in R.O.D. -The TV-, Enrico in Hellsing Ultimate) as Obadiah Stane Synopsis Tony Stark is preparing to launch his new spy satellite "Howard" as his contribution to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s war on terrorism, but the launch ceremony is disrupted by a group of terrorists led by Ezekiel Stane, the son of Stark's late nemesis Obadiah Stane. Making matters complicated is "Technovore", a new form of techno-organic armor Ezekiel uses in his quest to be the only dominant species on Earth. Story: C- This is one of the few examples of an anime adaptation of an American comic book title missing the mark. Iron Man: Rise of Technovore is bullet-riddled with loopholes that the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier can jump over. The pacing is horrid and the character interaction is almost non-existent. Maybe we were spoiled by Robert Downey, Jr., as his portrayal of Tony Stark "made you feel he's a cool exec with a heart of steel"; as a result, any small-screen incarnation of Stark is just flat. What's probably an insult to Marvel fans is Norman Reedus being topbilled in the credits, especially when the Punisher is only in the film for less than 10 minutes. Animation: B+ About a decade ago, when anime started mixing 2D with 3D, it looked cool. This, however, looks kinda cheap for a Madhouse production. The 3D looks good, but the 2D animation feels wooden. There are moments during the battle scenes where War Machine looks like a dark gray wooden block moving around the screen. Soundtrack: B- The musical score by Tetsuya Takahashi (Appleseed, Resident Evil: Degeneration), who has done the music for other Marvel anime titles, is just generic. Sub vs. Dub Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain the Japanese dub of this film. But by reading the supplied subtitles, the Japanese script has a lot of different dialogue that seems to have more wit in Stark's lines. The Bottom Line Thus, the decline of anime continues. Stick with the live-action movies. References Anime News Network The Internet Movie Database
