  1. I think maybe a month ago or so I had gotten through to them to ship it and decided to go ferry since I waited so long anyway. I have no earthly idea when it will arrive. Maybe 2021 sometime. That's not really on them.

Yellow Belmont's official character bio identifies his place of birth as Mars Base, Mars... given his age (22) he was presumably born there in 2060 or 2061.

The episode where his backstory is discussed/shown (#11 "Lullaby of Distant Hope") shows that he was part of the 1st Earth Recapture operation in 2080, and that Carla rescued him from the wreckage of his AF-03 Convert after it was brought down in the fighting.  His rank and unit affiliation are unknown, though it is noted he was a reluctant soldier who joined because his father was a career soldier and one of the commanders of the 1st Earth Recapture mission.

(Robotech's fans and, later, franchise staff assumed that he was part of the Mars 10th Battle Company because the Ride Armor he uses in the show has 10th Company markings, though it was likely salvaged in the original MOSPEADA.)

That site's not even accurate for Robotech, never mind MOSPEADA...

Who is this lance fellow and why does he look so much like Yellow from Mospeada?

    ;)

  3. So, random a bit here.. I have been re-watching Mospeada.. im like 3 eps from the end.. and I see Yellow say 'when i was on Mars'  . so it occurs to me.. I don't know the backstory.. Of course there's the episode where he gets the feminine disguise.. but he was on Mars? Was he a real soldier? Did he come in the first or second wave?  Any documentation of this available?

  4. One Tread here most likely. Blue. It's an easy line to draw since it's 'Anime Accurate'  .. Been rewatching the show and they had the green legioss hooked up with the blue tread in an ep i watched yesterday.  I'm a little concerned what a Sentinel Tread will cost. They are beautiful toys but they are investments and that thing's a lot bigger than legioss.

  5. I have not heard back about my request for price or if I could possibly get a new Pilot figure from Sentinel. I wonder if:

    a. they didn't answer on purpose

    b. I emailed the wrong contact

    c. they are on a holiday

    d. other.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Depicting Houquet as impossibly large?!

Why they gotta give her body image issues?!11!!??

    :p

I wonder if Sentinel’s solution will be seating the pilot further back into the Tread’s body or have the pilot lie on his/her stomach.

Or just not having a pilot on the tread?

I put the pilot from CM's in the Sentinel the other day. that was fun. Just to see. Yea way different scales though. but the plane itself is nearly the same. I think this is all just a simple case of 'anime magic' combined with 'it's a cartoon' I don't think the creators knew in the early 80's that near 40 years later we'd all be analyzing their work to this level.

I am thankful to have a transforming Legioss that looks good in all three modes. It was overpriced, but then again, isn't everything?

Would it be dumb to bug Sentinel about getting replacement hands seeing as the first transformation broke mine? Do they have any sort of customer service for the US? Probably not...

EDIT: Emailed them through the Contact Us page on their website. Hopefully I'll get a reply!

Thanks for trying this out. I have contacted about a replacement pilot figure. Will happily par reasonable amount. I emailed from http://www.sentinel-toys.com/ form. the 'union creative' site seemed to be unable to process mail sends.

In other news. I wrote it in English, put it in google translate, just to see what it would kind of look like.. and i am glad i did. "Stick" in quotation marks was translated as "f***ed" !!!!

So i changed it to 'pilot' I took Japanese for a few semesters in college. i don't remember the words so much but i certainly know that error would not have gone down so well.

Here's a pic of him painted so my posts aren't totally boring. He looks decent, but is even more inclined to fall apart since his limbs are attached with piano wire pins like i have done on a few resin kits (a lot thinner wire here tho!)

Someone else had a better paint job that looked really nice. I didnt want to paint 100% of the figure, since i thought it would rub off, their's was nicer but this would have done if not for the breaking.

I got a response from Sentinel and it sounds like they are going to send me a replacement hand! Knowing my luck it'll be the wrong hand but we'll see. :D

That's pretty cool of them though. Especially since they're shipping to the US. I would have been glad to pay for the part + shipping if they asked me to.

I recasted the legioss pilot. There was no way to get resin ball joints to work at this size or at my skill level so I just posed and glued the copy to get it to sit in there.

Let me know if you are selling those pilots. I may want to painte 1 up while seeing if i can get a replacement.

Two people in this thread said they reached out to sentinel directly and it was sounding positive. I think they didn't think the effort of dealing with another licensor was worth the possible additional sales.

Thanks I'll try to get in touch with them.

  10. So I know Bandai seems to hate us here in the USA, but I was wondering. Does Sentinel? I'd like to get my hands on a replacement for my 1/48 Legioss Pilot figure. He's too Flimsy and weak, and my attempts to improve him let do a better paint job. But tighter joints due to the paint. Head broke off and I pinned it like when you're doing a resin kit... Works but it bugs me.

I have a friend who lives there who could probably 'receive' the pilot if I can figure out how to order one.

    Thoughts?

But look at Houquet’s facial expression:  she looks sad to be wearing that pink armor.

    Mobilize the Houquet Rouge!

    :D

True. Now that you mention it.. Check out Mint's facial expression, she's HORRIFIED.

  12. Seems legit. Its definitely pink next to the Legioss in Ep. 16. I just hope they dont make it Neon Pink in 1/12 scale

Rey is yelling at Sentinel about the colors ;)

  13. Ones thing that has for me thinking about (rationalizing?) the cost of these figures, is that I build the model kits too. I haven't recently built a Mospeada kit.  But I am building an orguss Orgroid from the old convertible kit. The kit cost maybe thirty-fifty bucks on eBay I had to hunt for a while. Then we add several bottles of Tamiya spray primer 11 or $12 each. 10 sanding sticks and so forth. Let's say ten bucks. What are you up to 70 or 80? Okay now I buy like $80 mr color thinners and paint cetera lacquer. Cool. Then we add in a million hours of labor. Then we add in finishing coats. And suddenly the prices don't seem nearly as crazy. of course I do enjoy doing all the work, but still even if you leave out labor hours that's close to the same money

  14. Wow. So this afternoon I arbitrarily (ok I've been checking a couple times a day) checked HLJ and the Legioss Zeta was there and able to bhe purchased. Wondered why i hadn't gotten a bunch of mail from this thread. Turns out I'm not subscribed to it. Gotta remedy that NOW.

That Pink figure is pretty weak, color-wise. Oh well. Maybe if the 1/12 ever comes out it will be nice looking. I have all the guy's Ride armors from various maker's but no Hoquet. Seems to either never get made cause the line ends, or sold out. I'm hoping it gets made before THIS line ends.

Everyone talking about SSP from NY...anyone get their second run Missile sets from them yet? I ordered one of each as backup from NY and I’m not worried about getting them but just curious.

I ordered the second wave missiles.

Used the subject line in contact trick everyone has been talking about. I don't have them 'in hand yet' but they've sent them. I just said send by ferry cause $45 shipping on $60 worth of goods, especially just Missiles.. I just couldn't say YES this time.  But they left and have been bouncing around various parts of Japan.

I remember. It was Sept 15, 2003. What a good day that was.

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Haha. i didn't realize it was in our profile. I thought it was earlier. Maybe i just lurked.

  17. I can't remember when I joined and you wouldn't know it from my post count, but there was a lot of 1/55 customizing, I even bought a few resin heads but never finished using them   Yamato releasing their very first attempts at yf-19 and vf-11, with lots of metal. Then along came vf-1 version 1
