  1. A few recent "stuff & thangs." Already been playing with Gipsy (love that thing so much) MAFEX Bane (this fig looks awesome, needs a 1/12 scale Tumblr to stand on ) Weta Workshop Mini Epics Gimli, Gollum, & Frodo... wanted to give these little figures a shot (since they were on sale) after seeing how good the Gandalf pre-order looks. They really hold up the detail up close. I'm impressed. Black Series Sabine Wren (really hope they complete the team in 6") And in the non-toy category.. Apple AirPods! I am so impressed with these things... they have as much punch as my normal wireless cans (Sennheiser Urbanite XL) but obviously so much smaller and portable and even have better range.
  2. Thanks It's a fun piece to handle and pose, all the mechanical simulation on it is a treat!
  3. Those savings on transaction fee's are a drip in the debt bucket if you can't otherwise control your credit card usage, however. Everyone will have an ideal solution.
  4. Lol awesome Milano build. I'm hoping QMX or someone will actually issue a nice size prebuilt model one day, like the Q-fig they teased in 2016 @Shizuka the Cat You've clearly been riding the honeymoon adrenaline of this new collecting/show&tell hobby you're in. Thus, I highly recommend a) Never ever buy anything with the notion of hoping to impress this forum, only buy what helps you enjoy and characterize your own collection and b) set aside an automatic bank transfer to a paypal account of disposable income and only use that paypal account for collecting--and don't use credit cards for it unless you can pay it off each month and just want the points. Again to reiterate... If you ever find yourself thinking "oooh, those guys would really 'ooh' and 'aww' if I got this!" and that's the only real impetus for that purchase... don't bother with it.
  5. Finally got my Gipsy last night and took a few quick pics with the NECA Otachi figure, which isn't perfectly in scale but I think they look good together. I do love the lighting gimmick and the weight of the figure. Her knee joints are a tad loose, hopefully there's a way to tighten them up (any ideas?) but she can balance on one foot for a leaping rocket-punch pose despite that!
  6. Just got back from seeing this movie, and what a blast it was! Quite the visual treat of catching all the pop culture references on the big screen like that. Plus, seeing it with a group of friends that all met each other online originally and watching onscreen characters go through all the funny "omg I know you in real life now!" stuff we did was a hoot. From a critical standpoint, sure, it's not an oscar winning film and the story is silly on its face. But damn if it wasn't a fun movie to watch.
  7. re: boxes... if I opened the toy then I will keep the toy, thus I have found a better home for the accessories like an air tight plastic bin or something. Therefor the box has been tossed in the recycle bin.
  8. Grats man, it's awesome to see a proper Vermilion Squadron coming together

I caved and used that 15% coupon for a missile effects set, I really hope it's worth a $30 markup over MSRP.
  10. A true "Premium" SDF-1 would have lights and sound to simulate that gif or at LEAST some effects parts!
  11. The Japanese trailer looked like the CG is getting a bit more refined than it was in earlier trailers at least... idk, still on the fence. I'm stoked I just found the NECA Otachi delux kaiju figure (land version) for under $100 on Amazon, though. I hope it's legit. Thinking to display it with SOC Gipsy and hoping it won't look too small.
  12. I hadn't thought about doing it, but, I will be off for 2 straight weeks soon and with an Epson 5030UB and some Klipsch in the living room... the MCU could be a fun thing to binge on

Sheesh... over double MSRP... the savings!
  14. Still have to wait awhile for Sabine, but I opened up the ones I have so far and I really do like how these Rebels Black Series figures turned out. They're a bit soft compared to Figuarts and a little less articulated but for representing animated and alien characters they do a pretty great job. I really hope Chopper, Ezra, and Zeb get made in the 6" line.
  15. I'm definitely in the "get it right over getting it quicker" camp
  16. That's a steal for Gipsy, wish I'd thought of that but I think the one I ordered from CDJapan had already shipped anway.. bah. Grats! Speaking of Toys 'R Us, them going into liquidation means I should probably make a trip to one of the few remaining stores and see what's laying around..
