  1. I got my 2 Super Stealth Valks and Urban Camo armor....I forgot the simple joys of these plastic masterpieces. My god, when you get one posed just the way you like, and set up...it makes even non-toy collectors appreciate the "cool" factor of these behemoths. I have one all set up in Strike armor and the other in Urban Camo GBP Armor. Utterly awesome. I'm so glad I came back into collecting. It's been too long. I'm thinking of picking up the Low Viz 2 Woodland 1A and some Woodland GBP armor for it. I guess my bank account is going to get a lot thinner!
  2. That stinks...I have little to no talent for building models. I will continue to look around, but I thank you all for your input.
  3. I haven't bought a Valk in years, but I am so glad I got the Super Stealths...they look incredible. Thanks for all of the feedback and honest input. I'll post some pics when they get here (Monday I hope!!!!) Any thoughts ont he GBP Urban Camo Armor? How is the overall quality?
  4. Thank you for all the feedback! Especially that "...except i can't see mine.." line. Good stuff. I will post some pics once I get them (Monday the 22nd) and get them set up. thanks again guys!
  5. I just bought two of these (Stealth Valks with super parts) and Urban Camo Armor for each. I haven't bought a Valkyrie since the Low Viz original run (it's been a loooooong time!) And was hoping to get some opinions on this toy. How has Yamato done with the 1/48 line in the past few years?
  6. Where can I get some good, pre-built/painted dioramas? i want to display my new Valks in a ruined city section. Any help is really appreciated!
  7. 1/48 - no question. Try going to Twin Moons anime or Valkyrie Exchange. Both are fair and reputable. I have multiple Valks from both. Valkyrie Exchange: http://www.valkyrie-exchange.com/frames.html Twin Moons Anime: http://www.tmpanime.com/ Good luck and welcome to the addiction.......
  8. I was just looking through my collection of various Mecha, and it occured to me that I have a butt-load of different mech styles. Old school transformers, new Binaltech transformers, SOCs (EVAs, Mazinger, Dancouga, etc..) and of course, the beloved Macross Valkyries (and not so loved MPC Alpha) So what do you guys think? What's the greatest Mech toy ever (Macross Excluded!)? I'm thinking it's the Dancouga from SOC.
  9. I got mine yesterday and I think it's a great toy..not exactly a "collector's piece"..but still a great toy. For those expecting the pure, unadulterated bliss of the 1/48....you will be dissapointed. That being said, I think this is the far superior representation of the Alpha. It has decent articulation, good detailing and some cool features. However it has seam lines everywhere...even on the front of the head...it has some QC issues with regards to painting and looseness/tightness...but it's still a great, play and display quality toy. I'm a firm believer that Toynami can be crappy...particulalry with the Valks from the MPC Collection...but this Alpha isn't bad at all. Hopefully we'll see a Beta released for it. Anyway, I'd recommend it for those looking for a little Alpha love in their collection, or those that dig toys they can actually play with.
  10. This will be craptacular. It's shame too, becuase BloodRayne is an exceptionally cool game.
  11. taking a hundred bucks out of your kid's college fund shouldn't hit it too hard.... unless you plan on sending your kids to UHK... University of Hard Knocks Actually, I plan on buying a ton of these. My kids can get jobs and pay their own way through college...those filthy ingrates!
  12. Holy Poop! That thing is Awesome! So long college fund for my kids...hello VB-6!!!!
  13. Just curious. I could have sworn there was a metal version fo the Swordfish II that had some good detail, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe I dreamed it. Anyone know of a good, detailed toy version?

Graham - Much thanks on the review. You saved me many dollars...which I will put away until the Monster arrives... Thanks again for taking the time given your hectic schedule and family priorities.
