  1. Ooooops that's what happens when you read too fast. ebay; I found a good soul selling it with a "buy it now" option at $130 and I couldn't resist. This also looks interesting so far: http://cgi.ebay.com/Robotech-Masterpiece-M...1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. No visible problems so far. All in all I was very lucky with both of my blue alphas. As both have high serial numbers (above 5000) I'm guessing if that has something to do. And now, I need to get one of those beagles. Trying to imagine the looks of Yellow's "blowsperior", jokes aside.
  3. Finally yesterday I got my beta and my second blue alpha. I'm happy as a kid (despite that customs killed me with another 85 bucks), and apparently I was very lucky with the alpha regarding qc. The idea is to have my old alpha (little breakages here and there) permanently displayed in fighter mode, and the new one permanently in battloid mode, to give them the chance to survive without disintegrating in my hands. Anyway, while reviewing the alpha's booklet I found an error in the transformation instructions. Don't know if this was already reported. See the attached file; the hip joint position marked as "fighter mode" should be labeled "battloid & guardian mode", and viceversa. If you follow the instructions as they are, you won't be able to collapse the mid-torso section, and probably your fighter will end with the famous "banana shape" syndrome. Hope this helps.
  4. Video review of the MPC Beta!!! Thanks to the guys from Collection DX
  5. Thanks for the great review, Jenius; can't wait to see the comparison pics (by itself the toy looks huuuge), they'll help to calm a bit my anxiety. I guess my beta will take a couple of weeks more to arrive. And the MOSPEADA... it looks simply awesome. Funny thing, after each new review the toy looks even better. Any word on how many of them does Beagle plan to produce?
  6. These guys are saying it's schedulled for the end of january: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=230314874664 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=110327591955 Don't know how reliable this is though.
  7. Well, in the last 2 or 3 months I tracked almost all toynami blue alphas being auctioned/sold on eBay (yes, an ebay freak I am). Their final prices were: $173 - $135 - $202 - $255 - $187 - $195 - $232 - $250 - $169 - $130 So, we can say that on an average a blue MPC can cost around $193.
  8. Well, you can still find the blue one on ebay. Yesterday I got my sencond blue from there, at $130. (I'm a lucky bastard, as the price of this toy in the last months has been between 150 and 250).
  9. More pictures of Beagle's MOSPEADA in Yaco's blog. This looks more than promising. http://wildcats.pupui.jp/mt/archives/2008/...eview_pa_2.html
  10. Cool then!!! Another thing; IMO both toys colors match quite well. Maybe not perfect, but pretty decent taking into account the huge gap between their release dates.
  11. Some hi-res shots of Toynami's Beta. It seems that the beta's cockpit doesn't fit well between the alpha's arms. Credits for the pictures goes to the seller of this listing
  12. Beagle's box is HUGE! More pictures, including some nice shots of Stig/Scott in Yaco's blog http://wildcats.pupui.jp/mt/archives/2008/...eview_pa_1.html
  13. I guess these are also new: http://wildcats.pupui.jp/mt/archives/2008/06/beagle_1.html Enjoy (as much as I did!)
