The cheap preorder price for the 19 Kai is very tempting... but what I want are Mac+ and MacF HMRs. C'mon Bandai!

I never display any of my valks this way but this thing is gorgeous even from its backside.

Saw it on Instagram. From Berguertime. Just want to share it. It looks awesome. Mix of Marvel Legends, Mafex, etc.

^^So, which miniature version of Vehicle Voltie/Dairugger XV is this?
And what's your impressions of it?
Mini-Action by Action Toys.
Cheap thrill... It looks good and poses well for its price ($35 preorder). A very good representation of Vehicle Voltron, albeit small... can't really display it with my larger super robots, which is why it's with my 144 gundams. I would recommend removing the gyro blades and Ginger while posing and put them back on after. Hands also pop off easily when range of motion is exceeded.
I still might consider the GX-88 if it's ever reissued when the Yen is weak like with the GX-71S.

Congrats and it is really the sleekest VF. Adding to that is that the design has 3 different engines & booster types incorporated into the whole thing that makes it more amazing.Thanks. Even with its ultra sleek design, I was surprised by its heft. It feels heavier that it ought to be.

Would be nice to think that SDFM/DYRL Bandai stuff would sell for less than the cost of buying straight from Japan...too bad we'll never know
The last SDFM/DYRL valks I was able to get at or below retail was during Yamato's heyday. Too bad indeed that that won't ever happen for Bandai valks (even Arcadia now).
But being able to get these HMR Mac Zero valks below $100 is a godsend for me since the Arcadia ones were way out of my price range. I had given up on having a MacZero collection after selling off my old Yamato ones. I can't wait for the HMR VF-0A w/ ghost to add to my 0S and 0D, even if they're not 1/60 scale.

I know I'm years late to the party but I can't stop staring and admiring (and sometimes swooshing) this thing. Easily top 5 Macross toy overall for me, but now I actually have it on display, it's starting to supplant the YF-19 as my favorite in fighter mode.

Current HLJ price is about 280 USD
It seems 38,280 yen (tax included) was the price for the first batch.
On 3/1/2024 at 11:56 PM, Mommar said:In '21 I paid 47149 Yen at AE. It was $462 at the time. But that was including DHL which probably added another $60. MIB for $250 would be a steal.
Thanks for the info and the nudge. Still expensive for me but this beauty is worth it.

Anybody know when the PF was first released and the original MSRP in $s? Don't really want to know the yen price coz the current exchange rate is really low.
Is $250 a good price for an MIB one, never transformed? 🤔

^Sure wish those would be reissued or got the revival/reinterpretation treatment by some other company/division... I'm firmly unwilling to track down and pay exorbitant secondary market prices for, essentially, Gashapons.
Would actually prefer 1/12 action figures in their regular/casual clothing... maybe in 10+ years Kitzconcept might get around to making New Gen. merchandise.

The Tamashii Web link has been updated with a few new pics that weren't there before:
Arms and legs detached for this mode?... for the cover parts to fit? So no vertical stabilizers in high maneuver mode... didn't know/notice that. The angles for the new pics in fighter mode makes it look so much better.

What the heck are the "Joint parts for Battroid"?
Since it's under "Effect parts set", it's probably the connector for the effect parts after removing the hands... like the ones for the new YF-19 below:

OK, so now that I am going over the pics...I noticed "two" small errors...tampo errors to be exact....and it could have been minimized if KC would have also tossed in a "LowViz' VF-1J head.....can you spot it?
It's sort of comical how of all the available VF types from KC...they went and printed the one type that this release does not represent....I bet a VF-1J "LowViz" with a super low production count release is in the works...lol
Haha. There was a 2/3 chance to get it right and they still got it wrong.
Any pics in fighter mode? Are you even gonna transform it, lol?

Awesome shots with all the different CMs figures. Your pics make them seem like good quality scaled figures.
As for the shows, I don't think I'll watch M7 ever again... but to be fair, I don't think I'll ever binge watch SDFM again. It has more to do with getting bored with watching dated-looking animation. The only ones I rewatch are DYRL, Mac+ and maybe MacZero.

No improvements? GERWALK legs and ankles look the same and the headfin still doesn't sit flush on top of the head. Best looking mode is still fighter but I agree that the gold canopy is too much.

I received my Kitz Concept Angel Birds too! I was sort of surprised I received these before my "low viz VF-1A/S" pair....hope they didn't get lost!
Anyways...since you started with the VF-1J AB....I'll start with the VF-1A....
I think I like KC's Angel Birds logo better than Bandai's...kind of has a cool "nose art" vibe to it....
My VF-1A came "unsealed" on one side....guess it made it easy to figure out which side to open it from...lol...
Kit Concept VF-1A's Assemble! (wait...where's the VF-1A LowViz?....)
Oh...and my VF-1J...still need to unbox and make sure I have not been KC'd...again....
So overall a really good job with the paint application and tampo printing....no changes I could notice to the mold from the V 2.X....as far as I can tell, no QC issues on my Angel Birds VF-1A...YMMV! Again, will need to check the VF-1J when I have a chance....
Looks cool. I'm seriously considering getting my first KC VF-1 (and 1st 1/72 scale whatever) as soon as the preorder opens from my local shop for the low vis. It's not white and the ad says it'll come with 1A and 1S head, the latter which I prefer. Hope you'll post about the low vis as soon as you get yours.

The struggle for space is real...Yep. Even for someone who has a relatively smaller collection compared to others here, eking out every inch of available display space is a challenge, lol.
After rearranging my other Macross shelf, I started fiddling with my other DYRL CMs figures to see if I can straighten their feet and legs well enough to make them stand without the included stands with just a bit of bluetack. Here's my current DYRL shelf because I suddenly preferred the SDF-1 in ship mode (2nd pic was my old setup). But I had to move the VT-1 and VE-1 to a different shelf.
Now I'm trying to find a way to fit the VT-1 and VE-1 back while keeping the SDF-1 in ship mode.
P.S. after more than 15 years, I only just discovered to remove the extra bangs on the CMs Hikaru figure so the front hair piece can fit flush and his eyes can be more visible

I just wish they'd hurry up. It's gonna be more than 1.5 years to get the three Mac0 valks when the 0A is released in May. If Bandai decides to make HMR Mac+ valks, it might take until 2030 or longer to complete. Just copy the Yamato/Arcadia or the HGs and get the ball rolling already. They already did it with this 19 Kai.
