One had Hikaru and the other one didn't? Or was it the grey one that had him? I know the white one doesn't have him. -
That was a pretty tame auction. Will need to grab one of those A types in the future.

One of the designers must be a Robotech/Macross fan. Proprietary technology? like overtechnology?- 278 replies

I like that Battroid pose. Gonna use that one later.

Maybe because the VF-0 was a technology demonstrator for the VF-1 so it retained the modern fighter design cues. Also it ran a conventional fueled engine until they could get the nuclear ones. The VF-1 was what they learned from the VF-0 so they looked and said "we don't need this to be this size or we can put this more advanced equipment" and designed the plane from the ground up. If you're talking about just how they look more modern versus the VF-1 then I'd say it's because the use of modern design methods allowed it to be more accurate than 80's drawings. Edit:jvamacross summed up what I said above but I'm too slow to type and look at the recent replies.

If the background art had the head lasers forward it would kinda look like the Macross Chronicles pose. Oops, looks like Bandai got it down. I think I'll get two. 1J the grey and 1J the white.

I guess they are still tweaking the colors. It's got the 0D's legs in the pic. edit: It's half new half 0D from a couple posts above.

I see that you edited the Gerwalk reference. Not to nitpick but the release date was February 2015 and it would be good to include a Gerwalk pic so peeps get what you're talking about. Besides that, good review! -
Not gundam markers but maybe this helps? I was digging through the threads and found this: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=35450

Looking awesome!

If you're comparing V1 1/60's to V2 1/60's I can see the reason for a decreased value.

Hahaha! Imagine waiting at the carousel in baggage claim. Thanks for the offer! If you did that, I'd buy you a pallet full of Spam, Hawaiian sun, Island princess snacks and whatever else you need from here! I might have to do that. Either way, shipping materials to the glazier/cabinet makers will still be pricey on top of the labor. -

I never tried for an estimate for the detolf but someone bought a desk unit that was $205 and it was $100-ish for the shipping. But these detolf are heavy so it might be more. I will try to get an estimate just for the heck of it. -
To compare the two versions. From mslz22 himself V1: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=19632&hl= V1: V2: V1: V2: From HWR MK II's V1 pics: V2:

They will work. You just have to use the stock adapters that came with the valk. Yeti made the YF-29 adapter to cut the clutter from the stock adapters plus they can be held upside down.☺

Trying to find the cheapest way to ship the thrusters to you via USPS. Earliest will be tomorrow after I get off work. Can't let Alto stand there waiting.
