Interested in the leg art (the two Minmay Moon Guard decals). Are they 1/60 or 1/48?

I'll take all four for both. What left over decal do you have of the VF1D
Cool deal. I'm tied up at work right now so I will have to locate the box and see what's left. I'll take pics and PM them to you once I get in...if we ever get these phones to cooperate...

I am upgrading to a full-frame camera and no longer have any use for my DX lenses.
I purchased this lens new in December of 2009 from Adorama. It is new in box as I never used it. My 18-200 became my all purpose lens and this one stayed stored away in its box. I picked up a Tiffen 52mm UV filter for this lens that will be included with the sale already attached. Includes all accessories: front and rear caps, lens hood and carry bag. Will be shipped in original box.
Price is $175 shipped via USPS to the continental U.S. with delivery confirmation. All others pay exact shipping with delivery confirmation. Paypal is the preferred method of payment sent as a gift to avoid fees, otherwise add 4%.

I have several Anasazi Waterslide decals that I had planned on using for custom work and to decal my Valks. As I do not plan to do anything with these I plan to let them go to help offset the costs of my photography interests. Decals have remained sealed in a drawer and haven't been exposed to sunlight; pictures upon request. No bends, tears or creases. Prices include USPS shipping to the 48 continental states with delivery confirmation. Shipping anywhere else will be quoted from USPS with delivery confirmation. I am on the straight shooters list and have had several successful transactions completed with members here as a buyer and seller. PM me with any questions.

It's been a minute since I have posted anything. In between work and school and this whole photography thing taking off I haven't had much time to post. Got a new piece of equipment in today and thought I would share it you guys cause I know you'll be able to appreciate it. I’m awaiting my Really Right Stuff BH-55 ball head with quick release lever to go with this as well as a Kirk Enterprises L-bracket to get some serious tripod photography going. I also picked up Nikon's 14-24 2.8 for wide angle photography as well as a studio lighting set-up for an in-home portrait studio. Will be posting more pics as the goodies arrive.

Okay Nikon heads, what will it be? Nikon D400 or Nikon D700x; and how soon? I'd like to move to full-frame and I am happy with my Nikon glass, but the D3 is out of my price range and the D700 seems to be on its way out the door. Any thoughts?

I vaguely remember there being some discussion about the rainbow tint on the v2 1/60's. Some liked it, while others didn't. I didn't quite get it myself, but I did like the look. I was watching a show on aircraft carriers earlier today and noticed the same tint on real fighter jets and thought I would share the picture and give props to Yamato for paying attention to this type of detail.
Mods, if this should be moved, discussed elsewhere, or otherwise please handle appropriately.

dude, your skills had vastly improved!!! keep it up man.
yah man, ive been dj'ing for awhile but i recently upgraded from a gemini setup to a pioneer one and was so happy that i decided to.
im rocking 2 cdj 400's, a djm 400, a pair m-audio speakers and a xone xd-53 head phones.
i mainly spin progressive trance music and sometimes house. its nice to know someone dj's here too
@Kanedas Bike... join us its fun lol
Thanks man, but I don't know that the skills have improved. I will say that having a better understanding of those settings can make a big difference in the look you're trying to achieve. I've been DJ'ing since 2004. I use the DJM-3000 mixer and CMX-3000 dual CD player with the Sony MDR-V700DJ headphones and a host of other gadgets. I do it all man, but mostly corporate and wedding gigs as well as the occasional private party.
Really enjoying the hobby though.

very nice bro!!! we need more of those pics from you
some pics while playing with my new favorite lens...70-200 2.8 IS . its so bokehlicious lol
and my newly calibrated 50 1.4
Very nice Vegas! My sentiments exactly about the 70-200 2.8; but you know I've gotta represent for the Nikon heads around this joint. Digging the DJ pics too bro. Didn't know you were into that as well. Pioneer ProDJ equipment is the best hands down. I'm taking an Into to DSLR class and my had my first session last week. My assignment this week was to capture a "vehicle"...any vehicle. The only catch is I couldn't use the auto mode on the camera. I pulled out my manual and learned how to change my ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. I took a couple "vehicles" out and tried capturing them while playing around with those settings. It's amazing that once I got an understanding of how those three affect the amount of light coming into the camera that I was able to manipulate how the picture turns out. Looking forward to my next session Thursday evening.

Great pics and awesome use of the Flexi-stands!

Just finished calculating the cost for the group buy.
It will be 16950JPY (+ bulk EMS shipping + domestic shipping) for each order of the Angelbird + Fan Racer.
The mark-up includes Yamato internal shipping/processing fees, paypal fees, and a less than $20USD tip to the Japanese contact.
Please let me know if there is still an interest in doing a group buy for this.
You can count me in for one depending on when payment is due.

wonder if we should wait for the movie colour version... lol scary thought tho mass produced sdf`1s.. cfsdf`1..
Ha! Surely for this price they plan to only produce it in one variation...but I guess that all depends on how many are willing to shell out $2000 for whichever comes first. LED's would definitely put it on my want/have to get list. We'll just have to see...

Here's my new 11B shot in my home-made lightbox. Just starting out, so be gentle. I also plan to do a "How to Transform" video for the 11B, to add to my series on YouTube.
Man, I would love to see this video. My 11B has been stuck in battroid since I got it because I can't figure out how to get it back to fighter mode. Too many boxes to dig through to get to the manual...

Got my AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED but unable to upload pics. Decided against the VRII version and went with the first because a local guy was selling a brand new USA version on Craigslist. Can't wait to use this sweet piece of pro glass!
-
The first and last pics have the most potential IMO. Very nice.
Here's my two cents.
The first pic is a little too soft.
The last pic can be improved in several ways.
- Use a larger aperture (lower F number) to isolate the two subjects from the background.
- Move to the left to make the lady's face visible
- Move closer or use a tele lens to make the shot a little more intimate.
Thanks Dante. The next wedding I shoot I'll be using the 70-200 so that should help with a couple of points, but I will definitely take those others as well. Thanks for the tips!
-
Well, steadying technique will help some but if your shutter speed is slow and your subjects are in motion (like at a wedding) then you're still going to get a soft focus. A fast lens will help and so will a flash.
That's not to to say soft focus or even blur is bad. You can use them to great effect, like to create a painterly effect, or to capture motion and energy.
Thanks for clearing that up eugimon. The 70-200 should help with some of this...counting down the days.

My camera's, flash, tripod and two of my lenses.
My new backpack.
The 17-85 mm on the left won't be used anymore, so there's still some left space for a 17-40 mm f4.0 (or a future 14-24 mm f2.8 Canon might be developing as we speak!) and a 50 mm f1.4 that are on my wishlist along with some RRS equipment for taking good pano's.
Dante74 that appears to be some serious equipment you have there. I've been reading up on tripods and monopods and have heard good things about the Gitzo. What can you tell me that led to your getting one? What did it set you back with the ballhead, if you don't mind me asking?

Since I started following this thread my Macross collecting has suffered and my photography "toys" have grown. I see how many guys in this thread slowed their collecting all together to focus on photography must haves; the stuff aint cheap! A gang of Valks could be had for one purchase, depending on which piece of equipment you cop. My Macross passion will never cease though as I have a few 1/48's (1/48 forever!!!) and 1/60's I still need to cop. I think I have the photography stuff I need to do what I want to do for now.
Here are my latest grabs: The might Nikkor AF-S 14-24 2.8; those who know...KNOW! Really Right Stuff BH-55 with Acra-Swiss quick release clamp. Gitzo GT3531 and a few Kirk Enterprise quick release plates and lens foots and studio lighting kit (not pictured).
