Yeah I disagree with Kawamori giving up his interest in Macross. Delta is merely what the current audience of Japan wants. At least from most reports from there. As well as a large number of international audiences. But now that Macross is free of the previous HG restrictions, we may see a different take on series in the future.

Doesn't bother me but it's only been four days since release. You'd better believe that last bullet needs to be a spoilers tag.
Good looking out! Fixed!

I enjoyed it overall. You can see the hint of the story the writers were trying to tell under the glee & glam that is Walkure. Both movies do an excellent job of improving on Delta TV. I think they hamfisted the Megaroad-01 but could see Misa trying to keep humanity from making the same mistakes as the Protoculture.
Pluses:
- New Valks
- Max
- Character development
Minuses:
- Overall story.
- Walkures Music didn't impress this time around. Forgettable is how I would describe it.

Spoiler
Freyja's death. It should have been more gut-wrenching. I was moved more by the Wind Priest's passing than hers.

Is it only me (Can't be) or does VF-31AX have a thermometer coming out of the rear? It looks rather Frankenstein in design.

I already posted this in two other places on this messageboard. If we don't TELL Bluefin to order this crap they'll never look into it.

Yeah I tweeted them, Right Stuf (For BDs and such), and Bandai Spirits. We shall see if it is ignored LOL

I just don't understand how they can claim Macross worldwide and NOT have it available online for its other Bandai locations... 😒
I will give them a few days, maybe a week, to see if they have an announcement. Otherwise, I feel you! I'd much instead purchase here in the states.

Snagged one from AmiAmi. Damn didn't expect that or them closing so fast on a world wide launch. I do wonder if the supply line issues will impact this release?

Ah it's good to be back. Are the VF-0S dropping tonight or still in queue for 2022?

I love this thread and love May'n! It was great to see her and Megumi back on stage together!

40 years? Already? Why it was only yesterday that I was fanboying over the 25th Anniversary! I followed every episode, spending a lot of time here speculating on the Vajra and their place in the setting. Was Sheryl the same as Sara or more Nao? Swooning over Ranka's debut and so on!
As a lifelong fan, I'll be happy with whatever comes my way. -

The only reason it came to mind is while I was translating the relevant pages in the Master Chronicle, it mentioned that not only are there various sizes to the Factory Satellites (E.g. the one we saw in SDF-1 is one of the smaller ones, as it produces the Rigado), the largest—which produce the Mobile Fortress class of vessel used by Bodoru—are the size of small moons.
Nevertheless, in looking up the relevant page, I kinda discovered I had already translated the answer to the question I asked in my preceding post. Old age...
That said, I humbly recommend reading it... just for the sheer mind-boggling number of those things out in the galaxy (from Operation Record on the reverse side): http://sdfyodogawa.mywebcommunity.org/MCRmechanic/SDFMzent10aFactorySatellite.php
That explains so much how NUNS is able to field these massive migration fleets along with garrisons and the Earthspace Defense Fleets. And man, your site is a rabbit hole of lore!

Well, they are actively seeking them... just not to destroy them—to exploit them for their own uses!
Of course, due to age, a lot of them are breaking down. Not to mention being deliberately targeted and destroyed by the Inspection Forces (E.g.: the Guraji producing Factory Satellites have all been destroyed).
However, the remaining question is: are there Factory Satellites making Factory Satellites? If so, have they already started breaking down or been destroyed by the Inspection Forces? Or were the Protoculture producing them themselves? (thus, no neverending supply of those things)
Thanks for sharing this info, Sketchy. I doubt I'd ever have asked that question. Which brings to mind another question, Did Grace's shenanigans and to a lesser extent, Roid, alert the Inspection Forces of NUNS space/existence?

Looking forward to this!
Also when will the front page be updated? Content is 2 years old?

Regarding Translations, does anyone have a transcript of the furigana/kanji in Macross the First? Damn hard on my eyes to read and I would like to attempt to translate it.
