    Bandai DX VF-31

I just got my NY shipment notice (x2). 488717. No updates on tracking though. I’ll believe it when it arrives.
  2. Same here. Hopefully these turn out well.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Not yet. I might later. I think it looks pretty good clean.

Ha! 17...I wish. But you need at least one spare so you don’t feel guilty flying it around house.

    Bandai DX VF-31

You are correct. I confused the two orders. It was shipped via Big in Japan via fed ex. I should have it any minute. My CDJ was my VF-31S preorder and I got the two confused. I also have a NY VF-31A as well and there has been no movement on that one.

    Bandai DX VF-31

I didn’t want to speak up because I felt it might rub salt in the wound right now for some, but I ordered more than one and one of those was from CDJ. I actually missed the fed ex delivery of it yesterday. So they were pretty fast. Not so much on those others I ordered.
  7. Thanks for the link. Ordered one as well.
  8. I had a hard point issue on one of my arcadia max. It happened. At least we don’t have shoulder problems anymore.
  9. For what it’s worth, I own almost all the 1/60s from Yamato and Arcadia. I’ve had hard points break on Yamato VF-1D, TV VF-1S, 2xDYRL, and a TV VF-1A Max. It does happen on Yamato’s too and no I wasn’t being rough with them. Those parts can wear out so be careful when removing/applying missiles and be ready with some glue if it happens. I think the biggest difference (or area to complain) about Yamato/Arcadia is the lack of printing on the aircraft. I have the PF finishes too and will order more, but there is a difference in the “regular” finish in the amount of detail paint in Arcadia and Yamato. I’m sure it was a cost cutting measure for Arcadia and there were probably lots of arguable reasons why they did this as a business but it still stings.

    Macross figures

Even the originals from the 80s had arm articulation...
  11. I think you are good on getting a genuine set for now. But in six months or a year that maybe different. Oh and the red lion is about 50 bucks.
  12. Long, long time watcher...first time commenter...huge fan. Watermark is a great idea and I’m ok with its location. However, I’m not a fan of how everyone has to have some long custom intro on YouTube. I just skip over them every time and it’s annoying. I long for the days when Youtube didn’t have that. The ones I don’t are just a quick logo and maybe on their 2 seconds (ex. Bens collectibles logo) and then he goes straight into his reviews. Yours isn’t bad, but it is unnecessary and I prefer your straight to business greeting and review. I’m probably not articulating this as well as I could, but some of you guys probably know what I’m talking about. I hate it when guys have to talk for 1-3 minutes about nothing and then say “without further delay let’s get to the review.” You never do that, but intros drag it out even longer and I’m just fast forwarding most of the time. BTW, I’m also fine with a YouTube channel owner giving me an update on themselves or future plans for their channel separate. It just doesn’t need to be tied to a review. Especially in something niche like this community when folks go back years to watch and learn something about a toy they just finally got. That’s my two cents. You are doing a fantastic job. You basically are the only reviewer/English speaking Macross, Robotech, Mospeada reviewer I’ve seen and have a loyal following. You don’t need to change unless it is something you want to do.
  13. I think the cockpit wasn’t glued correctly. It was the first time I transformed it and it just fell off.
  14. Well I opened my Christmas present Evolution Toys Legioss figure. Cockpit fell off as well one of the hands were broken. I have Toynami, Aoshima, and CM and while there were a lot of problems with them, I think this is the worst Mospeada figure I have ever seen. The tabs are terrible and it feels super cheap. Yes, I know some of you will disagree and remind me of how terrible the others could be, but for 300 dollars cost this is garbage. It definitely had potential and maybe Evolution Toys can make it right, but mine is heading back to HLJ.
  15. I’m giving it a shot and preordered.
  16. Oh and it’s not about a size comparison. It’s more about aesthetics and proportions.
  17. The 1/48 does look a little bit different compared to the 1/60. I have both just not the Hikaru VF-1J. However, even the photo comparison between the 1/60 and Bandai is informative to me. Thanks for posting.
  18. I thought someone could photo shop a Yamato 1/48 VF-1J posed like the photos released of the Bandai version for a side by side compare and contrast. I thought it might highlight detail differences.
  19. Does anyone have a Yamato 1/48 VF-1J to pose for some side by side pics?
  20. Did Arcadia or Yamato make a 1/60 Regult like that? I don’t remember, but I could be wrong. If they did it’s a KO. It could also be something stolen/leaked from Arcadia. Or third party stuff may finally be coming to the Macross community.
