  1. Pls put me down for a VB-6 Koenig and a D'Stance ! Glad this is happening, looks like I will need to sell a few things though.
  2. Just thought I'd share this response i got with everyone else.... "Hello, thanks for the interest in our kit (pictures will be up this week). Price is not set yet, but expect around the $150.00 USD range." Sincerely, Colin Omilusik Scale Model Technologies www.smt.theshoppe.com Hopefully all of this will happen soon maybe enough orders will come in to lower the price or at least not have it go up drastically.
  3. OOps! A VF-2SS without armor that is.....
  4. Jarrod, Was just curious to see if there were any plans on creating instructions and/or add on parts to make a VF-2SS. Oh and I was also wondering the same thing about the transformable Hasegawa VF you made as well.....I know this subject was brought up in another thread, but I figured I'd ask anyway. Thx
  5. Just wondering what Tamiya clear colors are used for? They look pretty cool and was wondering if anyone had any examples. Thx
  6. Hey Valk, How's the armor coming along? ......Me wants!......
  7. This is great, does the launch arm that came with the resin YF-21 look the same as your pic? Thanks
  8. Just as the topic says, which show was it in and does anyone have pics? Thanks!
  9. I always prefer to buy two (depends on my funds), but count me in on one for sure Valkyrie! It looks great!
  10. Was just curious if anyone has tried to build a transformable hase with the Bandai kit. I know member Jarrod did his own perfect transformation Hase, but has anyone else done one? Thanks
  11. Just as it says, bought the clear from a local hobby shop that finally stocked Tamiya products but have no idea on how to use it. What are the ratios to mix it and what do I mix it with? Tamiya thinner? Water? The flat is less liquid like, so does it take a different ratio? Thanks!
  12. This sounds like a really cool project, hope you experiment with a VF-1 first. I was thinking about doing a mod on a 1/72 Bandai with a Hasegawa but wasn't sure how well that would work. The resin kit to turn a Hasegawa into a transformable is way too expensive. The only other member I think that did a transformable Hasegawa is Jarrod. Perhaps someone else has his website cause there are a lot of pics of it on there. Good luck and keep us posted!
  13. Just as the title says, I remember in the old forums someone mentioned the cannon and armor sat a little too high in jet fighter mode. Anyone casted clear canopies or done anything that makes their's a little different? Post your pics even if you haven't modified it! Thanks
  14. Just wanted to see if anyone else did their own vf-2ss variable or copied Jarrod's method. Oh, and what about the upgrade kits? Thanks!
  15. Great Moose, Wow, that looks really cool with the mechanical pencil. Have you done a step by step on it? Could you do a quick run down on how you painted and detailed the kit? Got more pics? ---Dan
  16. Ok I found a spot on the net that sells the smaller bottles of Tamiya Paint for $1.50 a piece is this a good price? Anyone want the url let me and I will post it. Thanks
  17. I was just wondering what was the advantages of each and which one is best for Hasegawa kits. Also, what about Gundam Markers? Are they any good? I tried an acrylic wash with cheaper paints but the pigment seems to be too grainy to do it on a 1/144 kit. I am gonna save up for Tamiya paints either way, but which panel lining method is the best? Thx
  18. Thanks everybody for the tips! Personally I would rather support a local hobby shop by buying my paints there, but there is no hobby shop carrying Tamiya acrylic paints in my area. Just a minimal of supplies and they are not willing to order a small quantity for me. It seems Testors and a couple of other brands I am not familiar with are only available. So anyone spot some good places on line to buy them? Any further suggestions on paint colors? I do intend to build all of the models so I am going to order all of them at once. Thanks!
  19. Count me in on the template, so far it seems there is at least 3 of us......anyone else? Come on lets make this happen!
  20. ok, i finally got a hold of an airbrush till I can upgrade to an Iwata eclipse. I am practicing using the Apple Barrel Acrylic paints I use on some of my miniatures. Hopefully if my ebay sales come through I will have enough for better paints and the airbrush. So what Tamiya acrylic paints do I buy and what thinner do I use for the airbrush? I intend to start building my hasegawa YF-19, VF Battroid, and Strike Valkyrie. Also, where is the best place to buy it from? Dixieart.com seems to be pretty good but is there anywhere else cheaper? Thanks!
  21. Jarrod, I would be happy to provide the parts from my vf-2ss kit, but is anyone out there that would recast it? I could actually use a second back plate for a broken vf-2ss I am trying to fix. What does everyone else think?
  22. Wow, this is great! I want one for sure but would like two if the price is right. My only question is would it be possible to get more than one remote bit? It would look kinda wimpy in the diorama I intend to build with just a single remote bit. Thanks
  23. Great job Jarrod! But unless a serious "How to build a non/armored VF-2SS for Dummies" manual is created. I doubt I would be able to do that to my VF-2SS. (I don't think my current skills are up to par....) So I agree with everyone else as far as a recast goes, that would work for me. This would be great if I could bring one to the northern CA bayarea meet to show everyone else. Hope it happens!
  24. Reporting in.....count me in on one for sure Valkyrie! Depending on price, hopefully two! Although my VF-2SS needs a way better rifle and some remote bits as well..(ahem...Malich...)
