    Oh noes... because nobody has known about this for... months now? "Rar.... any movie with product placement sucks!"

    *shrug*. product placements is one thing..entire feature length commercials are just lame (gotta love that shot of

    them in a convoy, set against the water. perfect footage to be recycled into a tv commercial

    . but i guess since it saved Bay a whopping $3 million on his budget we'll learn to like it gosh darn it! but seriously i even overheard other people leaving the theater that said they felt like they were watching a gm promo.

    Does anybody else think a couple of the scenes were just total filler?

    the whole movie was filler.

    Bernie Mac: waste of money using him.

    Blonde chick and her sidekick: waste of valuable screen time. guess she was there to provide the smart t&a quotient. once again super-genius kids make the military look stupid.

    Hot chick: served zero purpose other than to show off her body and to give the nerd the cliched ending of getting the chick.

    Jazz: token black dude bot who does nothing in the film. actually none of the bots do anything that they're supposed. ratchet fixes nobody (on screen), iron hide's a weapon expert who doesn't really do anything, and good old bumblebee is doing double-duty as a spot light for the bat symbol (what happened to interstellar communication? guess w/o your voice box your left to being a mime and doing charades :p)

    section 7: total cliche. a shadow organization which no one knows about and spouts of such memorable dialog as "this is above top secret!". ewww.

    army soldiers: who the heck cares about that guy's wife and baby. Cheezimus Maximus..queue the slow-mo and dramatic bgm!

    president bush: way to toss in a cheap laugh. uncalled for imo.

    and as for the ending, it's great to see Sam is a

    far better tactician than Prime or any of his merry men. Ridiculous.

    . Megatron is supposed to be the baddest, meanest, bot...bah.

    if you swapped out the FX and used humans in place of the bots (i.e. we're the good guys and we have to beat the bad guys in finding this object) you would have one crappy movie. it's only the nostalgic aspect of seeing prime transform that has some fans creaming their pants. :rolleyes:

    its an ok summer flick but 'bestest movie evar!"? no way. maybe TF2 will have a bigger budget and they'll be able to afford some VAs. :)

    Ahh who cares. Flew completely over my head when I watched that scene because Sam was funny.

    Its kind of the point of the whole 'robots in disguise' thing when the robots don't have gigantic, obvious faction sigils on them.

    but in bot mode as well? You see the GMC logo sliding into place in one scene so it's entirely conceivable that they could slip in their TF logo when transformed. And surely someone would have noticed the 'enslave' script on Barricade

    :p

    You also gotta love GM's dollars at work when the 'camero' totally trashes the 'mustang'. Guess we know who paid more to sponsor this film.

    Gotta say the commercial was an insult to my intelligence. If I were 12 or 14 I would have thought it to be Way Cool! but now ..not so much.

    guess i'm in the minority but i came away quite disappointed. do we still have to use spoiler tags at this point? anyway suffice to say it was ok as a popcorn flick. 3/5 maybe. but there were so many parts that needed work that i wonder how the film would have turned out in the hands of a good director. i wrote up a longer review on a different site and now that i think about it...i'm actually kinda pissed for spending $15 to see this. in essence take a big ass GM commercial and add in some explosions, a bit of SFX, and some horribly cheesy dialog (if you can call it that) and you've got a movie. I wonder how much GM paid to have their logos splashed around every where? You know it's a bad sign when you see the GM logos more often than you see the Autobot or Decepticon logos. :(

    yeah. end of summer or fall is what the fan sites are saying. Though, it seems refurbished 360's are getting monster heat sinks installed.

    yeah i saw a pic of the new heatsink for the euro (france?) models. also will the 65nm chipset apply to Elites? bah maybe i should just sell my premium unit and get a ps3 lol. (mmmm BD anime...)

    Don't know where to put this...

    In January of this year ('06) I posted a request for the Evangelion Code:BE figure/statue. Seiichi pm'ed saying he could get it for me. because it was a mail-order item i had to pay upfront and wait for them to be delivered (in roughly March or April). I paid $80 US for 2. At the same time we chatted and I also added a pink santa Asuka statue (which I did not pay for as I was going to wait until code:be arrived and pay for it then).

    In March I pm'ed him back for an update and he said he was too busy as it was the tax season. I understood so I didn't complain.

    In April he informed me that code:be is in stock and will be shipping soon.

    In May he said he got really busy in April again due to tax preparation and documents he had to prepare. He said he would ship in June.

    In July he apologized and said he was ready to ship.

    In August he said he was busy again.

    Now in October emails and PMs I send him go unanswered.

    I write this as a warning and as well hopefully someone will have more info. I'm not here to yell and scream - obviously this is only one side of the story and honestly I may have forgotten some of the details in the transaction since its been nearly a year. As well there may be a communication barrier with something lost in the translation. During this time I did receive another item from him without any incident.

    Anyway that's my story. Out $80usd :(
