  1. That's an excellent start! It's a very addictive collecting hobby
  2. Surprised? No. I am happy to see them doing well. Their 1/60 Macross (and the Yamatos before them) figures are my favorite toys to collect. The Premium Finish versions especially. They are a little pricey, no doubt, but they are the high end collectible I want in my display cases. The price point means they aren't sold out the second they get released, which I appreciate. I am a little bummed that there's no mention of the VT-1. Maybe it will be released without warning like the VE-1 was. The Nora is a sharp paint scheme and the Premium VF-4A looks fantastic.
  3. Yeah the colors look good. Arcadia seems to be going strong. They have a lot of toys presented, which is a good thing. Looks like maybe the VF-4 is next to the SV-51s?
  4. Another SV-51, eh? I wonder if it will have correctly assembled legs.
  5. I agree that would be great. Shin's gray VF-0A is my favorite from Macross Zero. 1/60 PF Arcadia Valkyries are still my favorite Macross figures.
  6. My hope is they release a TV Kakizaki VF-1A so we can complete Vermillion. I would be content with that, especially if it's a TWE release. But Bandai seems to go out of their way to avoid completing any part of a line. 1/48 VF-1D for the first time would be fantastic, but preorder will probably be another bloodbath. The impossible preorders are becoming more and more of a turn off for me on the line.
  7. If they adjust some of the fitment and tolerance issues too, this should be a great figure. I wonder if they will re-release Roy's VF-1S with these improvements later on. Maybe they will release it as a Rick Hunter version.

    Macross figures

Same here and I agree completely.
  10. I just got the NY notification that my Super/Strike order got bumped to April too. I ordered a full set of 5 of them almost immediately. Pretty shady of NY, but not unexpected. This may make me pause before ordering anything from them again. Luckily I got a spare set on the way from a different source so my Hikaru 1S can be decked out. Not like I need the rest of them until they release all the rest of the DYRL figures but I am still irked. Might as well wait it out at this point. Bandai's stuff is neat, but I much prefer collecting Arcadia's stuff to be honest. All of this nonsense is unnecessary.
  11. Yes FromJapan will store your items for up to 45 days. You can put as few or as many items into a shipment as you want and get an estimate with various shipping methods. You do have to pay them for shipping costs to them from the seller if there was any. I am not familiar with Tenso fees or shipping so I don't know how they compare.
  12. Premium Format VT-1 would be an awesome follow-up to the VE-1. Would also love to see an Alaska Base VF-1A.
  13. Agree with these points. I have used From Japan quite a bit and have never had any issues. They are very professional in their services and have been thoroughly helpful the few times an issue came up. I used them to preorder a couple of items from Arcadia that took longer than expected (such as this VF-0D) and it went fine. I asked them politely if they could touch base with Arcadia and they were happy to do so. I also won a Yahoo auction for one of my DX VF-1 figure preorders. By the time FromJapan received the item, the auction was taken down. They sent me pictures of the item and asked if it was correct since they couldn't view the original auction anymore.
  14. That's a bummer but not entirely unexpected. Hopefully the extra time will mean better QC.
  15. That's sharp. Only $750?
  16. I think the DX and 1/60 nosecones both look good in battroid. The neck area is the significant visual improvement on the DX. The DX cockpit/nose area looks a bit stumpy to me in fighter mode, to be honest. I think it's somewhat of an illusion because of the huge Macross kite that's back a little ways, as well as the longer horizontal surface that protrudes forward above the intakes. The nose of the 1/48 Yamato is very long and looks great. The 1/60 isnt as long but looks great too. I still prefer these over the DX in fighter mode due to their proportions. The DX has better tampo obviously.
  17. Hopefully they fix the awful neck on the VF-1A brownie before it releases
  18. That would be a very nice upgrade. Where is that picture from?
  19. Nevermind, moved to KC thread. My 1S head lasers are a little gappy too
  20. I am excited to see how Bandai handles the DX GBP. Also, looks like NY finally shipped my VF-1S. Gives me a little more faith in the multiple Super/Strike parts I ordered with them.
  21. Thats the same situation my order is in. Just hanging in preparation since Friday. Keep hoping for the shipping notice this week.
  22. There's my NY preparation email. Looks like they are making their way through orders
  23. It is amusing, or I guess disappointing, that with all the tampo Bandai spams these VF-1s with somehow it is both inaccurate and incomplete
