  1. ok..so basically, this feature give you an option of playing PS1 games on a big screen or a little screen if you own a psp? my question would be why would you play it on a little screen if you can play it on the big screen?
  2. From Kotaku "While DivX movies can be played from a DVD or USB storage on the PS3 just fine, for whatever reason, XviD files need to be copied to the PS3 hard drive to play. It's a small technicality, but it's the sort of technicality that will save you 30 minutes of pulling your hair out and a lifetime of regret from losing that 30 minutes."
  3. LOL! I love fanboy's comments. they are so funny!! Thanks for making my Wednesday! ditto to everything stated by mikeszekely and eugimon and if you are truely a sony fanboy, then you should already know that sony has sold its stake in Cell manufacturing plants to toshiba as well as exiting out of future development of the cell tech http://www.gamespot.com/news/6182641.html?page=1 I just hope Gabe from Valve was wrong to state that its a waste of resources to learn the cell as it will become a deadend I still hope sony will do a major comeback in 2008. I really like the competitions as we get great games out of other developers.
  4. I recommend "Uncharted". it's like an "action" US remake version of ICO in a Tomb raider setting (this is the closest thing I can describe it). so if you like environmental puzzles of ICO, duck and cover action of Gears of War, with a cinematic feel of Metal Gear, I think you will like this game.
  5. I want to see this in action, all things points to an EX game, with parries ;; I wondering if Ryu is staring at Chun-Li's new model in this stage
  6. LOL! yea, even the music division of Sony has the same take "Copying" music you own is "stealing" "Gabriel asked if it was wrong for consumers to make copies of music which they have purchased, even just one copy. Pariser replied, "When an individual makes a copy of a song for himself, I suppose we can say he stole a song." Making "a copy" of a purchased song is just "a nice way of saying 'steals just one copy'," she said." Pariser is Sony BMG's chief anti-piracy lawyer and Sony other division (Eletronics) include software with MiniDisc units to rip music from CDs ;;
  7. Why didn't Peter just "phase" through the vault by himself and destory the virus then comes back out and tell Adam the deed has been done?
  8. the Divx have been tested with a USB stick and an external USB hardrive and it worked fine, but this has not been tested it on a CD/DVD disc
  9. The biggest changes for the Xbox 360 update is that it now supports MPEG-4, the box plays both DivX and XviD files...Good news but also bad news, Another reason why the anime industry will get hurt even more (see state of anime thread) ;;
  10. That's the thing, the "people who download/steal stuff" don't care about anyone else but themselves. How do you fix that?
  11. How much did you pay for it? Was it black or white? as for your question, it's plug and play (some game will automatically support the rumble while others will need an update ). your USB cord will work fine and it won't damage your PS3. If you have the 2.0 firmware for your PS3, al your Ps2 games should work with it
  12. The Blu-Ray Group is attacking HD-DVD with two YouTube Spots ;; I wished they just drop their prices on the players instead of doing this ;;
  13. yes, the 5960 does take SRT files as well. Have you tried "MKVEXtract" to extract the ASS file out of the MKV files and then use Subtitle Workshop 2.51 to convert it into a SRT?
  14. do you have the phillips 642? if you do, it does take STR files for the AVI files. you have to first tag the STR, then play the AVI and press the subtitle button you can rip the subs from the mkv file into the STRs
  15. Walmart sells it under $100 http://holiday.ri-walmart.com/?section=secret and you can still get the 5 free HD DVDs Sony says no to price drop ($399 Bluray player) http://www.tvpredictions.com/sonyprice110107.htm

  18. 40gb has no PS2 backward compatibility?!!! ;;; I thought PS2 games were going to be software emulated when they took it out Emotion chip... I don't get it, why can't the 40GB version play PS2 games
  19. That really sucks what will happen to Black Lagon, Fate, Hellsing, Ippo!
  20. I don't get this @_@;; if you are that focus on the style/animation/effects, does it matter if it's sub? just watch for what you are looking for, if you want the full package, learn japanese (then you can read art books telling you about how they do the style). and when you say "why deny yourself the effects", I would ask a question back "why deny yourself the better voice acting that adds another dimension to the animation?". Seriously, there are very few English voice actors that takes VO job as seriously as the japanese VO actor/actress.
