  1. I was wondering if anyone can produce a list of the track titles (english/japanese) and artists from the original Kentaro Haneda (not recent release with only 14 tracks) soundtrack please. I have a years old dubbed cassette copy but am missing the requested info. There is a song which I really like but haven't a clue who sang it. It's not Mari to be sure. She has a deeper, mature voice. Forgive me, I'm no extremist fanboy expert by any means, but have loved Macross since youth, Japanese music and little culture that I do know and have experienced. Thank you so much for any help.
  2. Curious.. is a MH releasing a Hoquet? If so, any pics and eta?
  3. It's interesting to see these SC items like this knockoff Ginrai shows. I dig the model but this knockoff piece is utterly yeesh. Who's the manufacturer and did they come out with more stuff?
  4. Yeah space helicopters were a WTF for me too. Actually I don't recall the blades spinning at all, but I like its looks especially in battroid mode. Battroid mode looks decent to me. There was some other mecha that seemed to be a mini-shuttle or something (I don't think it's the Logan) with a very simple design.
  5. Well if there were a “Let’s bash Robotech” thread, I’d definitely chime in to defend the series. I grew up watching Robotech (as I’m sure many here have as well) and loved it then and still do. I’m American and like the voices and dialogue. I’m still entranced by the background music, stories, narrator, and all of the details to make it what is. It’s nostalgic to me. This doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate or like true anime in Japanese with or without subtitles. Each film is unique in its own way. I’ll even admit that the Robotech version of Macross is my least favorite of the three. I know the original kicks way more ass and DYRL is untoucheable. Still, Robotech hits home in it’s own way. If Macrossworld is so conservative that it doesn’t want to hold any discussions about RT, hey I can understand. This thread initially began soley about entertaining the prospects of toys being made for a series that walks on both sides of the street depending which way your fandom lies. If you guys prefer that RT fans should only post over at RT.com on such matters I think that’s asking a bit much. I would have done so actually but since they are so biased over there you can’t high five any other companies except Crapnami. Anyway, I’m proud to enjoy Robotech and value it for what it is regardless of there are alternate versions, or if “the original is better”. Better to who and in what way? In guardian or gerwalk mode, the tank became a howitzer/gunstation but I never saw any horizontal angular rotation in the series, just up/down pivoting. If they were made, they should swivel from left to right. As for the open cockpit in tank mode, I could see the chair unit and console to elevate upward in mild environments and conceal in space or when under fire.
  6. I'd buy the jeep. Hunk and Annie figures to go with would be cool too.
  7. I will say that of the RT series, I really like Southern Cross because it demystifies a lot of the big picture. It really goes behind the scenes of what the SDF-1 is, connection to the Masters. role of Zentraedi, etc and sets the stage well for the coming Invid. I also like the maturity of values concerning humanity, culture and society. A great series to me.
  8. Gubaba: I haven't seen the Japanese run but from what I have heard you are correct. Earth was unihabitible and the humans colonized this planet Glorie. Alpha OTS: Thanks.I've been snooping EBAY for a glimpse of one of these for sale and also found it this morning. I'll admit it is clunky, unarticulated and lacks much detail, which is why I'd really like to see an updated from come into existence. I think someone did a kitbash of one of these guys to get it in tank mode a while back. Yeah your'e probably right. This would likely be the only way and it's pretty doubtful like most have said. Rats. There are variants of the hovertank too. AGACS would also be rad. Keep dreaming right.
  9. Do you guys think the series is popular enough to get products made. I really love Southern Cross and would kill for some fully transformable Hovertanks and Bioroids. It would be a dream if Yamato or another competent toy company made them, if they were ever to see light.
  10. MR Great score on the Gakken and thanks for the pics. Hells yeah..hook him up with some decals.
  11. Holy hell. I'm sold. B-E-A-G-L-E If the rest of the crew looks like this...
  12. I too would die for a MP Deluxe Dairugger XV-Vehicle Team Voltron. It should be die-cast. When I had the Matchbox set back in the day, I wondered if the original was metal (obviously not), but even so thought it should have been. Yeah, the leg articulation would definitely be tricky to make happen if a MP is considered. Congratulations on your MP Lion Force. I just got my first set about a week ago too--beautiful work. I love it and am considering buying another set for a MISB backup when I can afford to. My advise: Watch fingerprints on the chrome and paint. Loosen the leg joint screws a bit to relieve stress and risk of breakage. I also use a microfibre cloth when handling it.
  13. Yes, more Voltron! Have you guys experienced and breakage yet? I've been trying to research as much as I can on this toy and the most consistant issue seems to be the loosening of the joints due to crazy poses and such. What's the best formation or pose to store them in? Assembled Voltron? or as as the seperate lions? In package with limbs folded, etc? Does Black Lion's jaws loose tightness from forming the head too much? Thanks.
  14. Jenius, thanks for your review! Very imformative and I still find myself somewhat on the fence to decide which one to go with. I agree with you on the center missle pod, though I'll probably be able to live with it. The brighter paint is the biggest turn off. Most likely my vote goes with to Aoshima for the Stick version and will run with Toynami/Robotech versions for the others. Thanks again. I'll add my 2 cents once I get them.
