  1. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=29504 "I don't know who you are, and I don't understand what's being discussed here, so I'm shutting down the thread." A member provides feedback in the Member Feedback forum and is quickly shut down. Good job!
  2. I asked Aramaki-san about this, and I'm guessing the last part depends on how well Viper's Creed did:
  3. It's true. Been true since the days of 300 baud.
  4. I'd also like to see JasonC address this from the other thread in this forum: You wouldn't happen to be talking about me, would you?
  5. EXO, you're breaking my heart. Before you go silent, why don't you explain why only VF5SS and I got suspended and not any of the other participants? If it's any consolation, you're free to come over to http://skullbrain.org/ where I'm a moderator and try to behave badly. I promise I'll sit on my hands.
  6. It was in an early draft script that a friend of mine (who was being approached as a potential licensee) read about a year ago. Later on he was given the final act of the script (which was omitted from the early draft). The whole thing was godawful. If 10% of the silliness that was in there survives to the final cut of the film (and judging by the trailers, it looks like at least 50% is in there), you will all be laughing your way out of the theater. It's that bad.
  7. The idea of the hub never made any sense to me. A Cylon dies, then their consciousness is transferred back to the nearest resurrection ship, then to the hub, then back to the resurrection ship, where the Cylon wakes up in a tub of goo. And the resurrection hub also carries extra bodies, presumably for restocking the resurrection ships. The Final Five didn't seem to mention a hub in their own resurrection equipment. Why would the Cylons need one?
  8. Who knows. They're making it up as they go along.
  9. He was lying, though. In a later episode it was revealed that he did, in fact, resurrect, and told the other Cylons about how Kara tortured him.
  10. Who says that old Raiders can only be piloted by old Centurions? Maybe there are skin jobs inside.
  11. To clarify, in the earlier podcast Moore hinted that the name "Daniel" and the model might have some connection with Daniel Graystone from the Caprica series. In this podcast, though, he made it clear that Daniel (Type 7) won't have a role in the finale or Starbuck's origin. I believe there was an earlier podcast or Q&A session where Moore discounted the idea that the Cylons (at least the ones that had been revealed up until that point in the show, before the Final Five and Hybrids were introduced) were not clones of Colonial citizens, that they were genetically engineered from scratch. The writers referred to the Cylon homeworld in meetings as "Cylonia." Yecch, glad they ditched that.
  12. Yes, I noticed that I'm one of the few people around here who uses their real name.
  13. Careful, guys, this is the kind of talk that gets you suspended from Macrossworld... I want to know, did anyone here change their mind about ordering this toy from an importer when they heard that it was being released domestically by Toynami? I'm curious to see who did and who didn't.
  14. That would really suck, because that gag was already used for , which also dealt with . I think it's possible someone is yanking your chain. At least I hope so. According to Ron Moore in the latest podcast commentary, Daniel has nothing to do with Starbuck, nor will Daniel be a part of the finale. He saw a lot of speculation among fans on the internet and wanted to put it to rest. Daniel may have something to do with the upcoming Caprica series (as Moore hinted in a previous podcast) but as far as BSG is concerned, Daniel only exists as a fix to explain why the writers named Boomer/Athena "Type 8," and leaving an empty slot for "Type 7." And that great whooshing sound you're hearing is the wind being taken out of a million fanboys' sails. He also mentions that at the center of the Cylon's Bodolza-class ship is the original Earth ship the Final Five arrived in. He's pretty disciplined with spoilers, so the fact that he's discussing it in the podcast seems to indicate that we won't be seeing it in the finale.
  15. As long as the guidelines (http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=23944) are being followed and the original poster (Ravenhawk), doesn't mind, why can't this discussion continue?
  16. I have no desire to "defend HG and Tommy down to the wire," and I wasn't the person who brought up Darkwater, I just wanted to interject some logic into the discussion. But since you're the one defending him and thought that the joke in question was funny, let me run a hypothetical situation by you: There's a guy on the internet who uses a blog to continually dissect a company's public statements, accusing them of hypocrisy and posting questionable "April Fool's Jokes" like the burning building thing. Why should that company allow him to post on their message board? Why should the company extend any sort of courtesies whatsoever to that person?
  17. I'd understand why they would want to make a different-style head to match the way Scott looked in Shadow Chronicles. I think it looks fine, but I don't collect ride armor toys. I don't see why they would have to have anyone else design Valkyrie heads, the line art for those has been around for 25 years. The heads they showed off looked excellent. And I think the Beta heads are an awesome idea. There's one additional thing that I was told they were going to do with that concept and I'm crossing my fingers to see if it happens. We'll see what happens with Volume 5.
  18. Actually, the way I see it is that deals could be worked out between all parties involved that would legitimize all of these transactions, it would just cost a little bit more money, and that there are so few potential buyers out there actually interested in this stuff that it wouldn't make the effort worthwhile. Besides, anyone who's really into collecting Macross toys got their Origin of Valkyries from importers months ago. (This daily dose of pessimism brought to you by Monsanto.)

  20. Dude, you just invited me to play with you via chat yesterday. Liar.
  21. I believe this was spoiled already on another site, but I will protect it anyway:
  22. Oh, please. Darkwater posted an "April Fool's Joke" of Harmony Gold's building on fire, something the people working there didn't appreciate, and when Robotech Master and I brought it up to him a couple of years after the fact, he still didn't seem to understand that this could be upsetting to someone. Put yourself in Harmony Gold's shoes, how would you treat Darkwater after something like this? ("I would throw a pie in his face" is not an acceptable answer. ;p)
  23. I'm pretty sure that Tommy just draws, not sculpts, and I don't believe he had anything to do with those Origin of Valkyrie heads. The new Beta heads are his creation, though.
  24. It hasn't been solicited yet but there is going to be a fifth Masterpiece Beta, the one from Shadow Chronicles. It will have the Synchro Cannon mounted on the top of the fighter mode. Tommy Yune showed a picture of a prototype at last year's New York Comic Con and Toynami mentioned it to CDX at this year's Toy Fair (this didn't make it into their article for some reason). I see that Big Bad Toy Store has the green Beta up for pre-order with a ship date of first quarter 2009. Is it up for pre-order anywhere else?
  25. According to Yaco, Beagle will show off a "SECRET ITEM" at the Tokyo Anime Fair from the 18th to the 21st: http://wildcats.pupui.jp/mt/archives/2009/...ecret_item.html It better be a sofubi Inbit or nothing.
