  1. I gotta say now that I've had some more time with the figure, I'm not a huge fan of the sound booster combination. It looks gorgeous, but my favorite thing about this guy is how fun and solid he feels to pick up and pose, in contrast with something like some 3rd party transformers. The sound booster makes him way more fiddly in battroid mode. I do like the fighter mode connection though, it is pretty cool to whoosh around
  2. I desperately hope that the 262 has a prominent role in the next series so that we could maybe see a new release of it, but that's a pipe dream for sure
  3. My first time handling the Vf-19 mold, and I love it so far! I wish I was a little more careful during my first transformation tho, because I dented the tip on the back of the hip block. I've had the Yamcadia Vf-1 for a while but that thing doesn't have tolerances this precise. It's a neat change of pace
  4. Anyone know when AmiAmi tends to get their hands on stock for stuff like this? It's only been a couple days so I'm not stressing, but I am curious since HLJ seems really on the ball
  5. Oh man, I have diesel purchases lined up from January to June next year, this is gonna be brutal
  6. Yeah those canopies look a lot like 3d printed clear plastic. The finish is almost identical to the plastic shapeways uses of all things.
  7. I'm sure this topic has been broached before, but I've seen a few people on these and other forums talking about how the VF-24 is orders of magnitude more impressive than the yf-24 specs sent to the various emigration fleets. Is there any info to substantiate those claims at all, or is it all just power scaling hearsay? Also, I know the Vf-29 had tests run to see if fold carbon could stand in for fold quartz to disappointing results. Given the impressive base specs of the plane even without the fold resonance system tho, I was wondering if it saw any official production in spite of the fold carbon's failure to perform
  8. Pipe dream time! I'd love a tamashii web exclusive of this thing in Queadluun-Rau colors, although I doubt we'll get as far as the prototype colors much less non-canon schemes
  9. It's a bit funny that the Yf-21's DX proportions somehow make it read even more as a variable Queadluun-Rau to me than before. The huge frakk off Backpack, the luscious legs, a torso larger than the lineart accurate pinprick. It may not be strictly accurate but I like it a lot!
  10. https://www.hlj.com/1-60-scale-complete-transformation-sv-51-gamma-nora-polyansky-boarding-machine-final-battle-specification-reissue-aca82158-3 Another Reissue, although like the last one this is coming out next month, so maybe it's unsold stock? The previous listing has been out of stock for a few months though, so make of it what you will
  11. That's one of the least yellowed Jetfires I've ever seen, you could tell me you pulled that right off the shelves from 1986 and I'd believe you
  12. How does mech development work for Zentraedi? Do most fleets continue to use Space War 1 Era tech and compensate with numbers, or are developments like the Macross Plus Battlesuits and Feios Valkyrie wide spread across multiple fleets?
  13. It might be crazy, but I actually think gerwalk mode probably benefits most from the new less accurate proportions. The legs might be a little far forward, but I think it looks much less off-putting than the Yamato's positioning them so far back.
  14. I hope to God that this has ratcheted limbs like the VF-31 molds. With how much mass the legs have to deal with, ball joints would be insanely loose very soon
  15. Loving how these guys look. We have literally had nothing in the high end market but increasingly line art accurate releases since the Yamato 1/48 and it's nice to see a stylization of these designs that isn't SD.
  16. This is maybe the best thing I've ever read in my life, thanks for that. I guess it makes sense how they stuck around long enough to see upgrades and use by Anti-UN forces all the way in 2030.
  17. Are there listed maximum engagement ranges for the Monster and Defender? I know for Valks generally aim for BVR with the use of ghosts and the like, but I can't remember seeing any stats for the Destroids.
  18. Wow that bad boy looks gorgeous! Hopefully I manage to pick one of these up when it comes out instead of getting stuck in waitlist hell like I did with the 19.
  19. Call me crazy, but this mold would look sick as frakk with a new head and Stampede armor parts. Someone tell me you see the vision:
  20. I'd get a very high grit piece of sandpaper and lightly wet sand until the finish is smooth. Then a matte coat should work! Of course use extreme caution if you try this at all
  21. The functional cockpit and Pilot compatibility is awesome, but I would like to see a display of this guy all closed up wherever Pose+ pops up next.
  22. It's an understandable opinion, I used to be the same. Weirdly enough it was seeing the redesigns the GBP has received in another franchise entirely that made me appreciate the original design more.
  23. I've never seen any reviews of the Megahouse figure before, can anyone who has one let me know how it holds up 8 years later?
