  1. I have to pick and choose due to limited storage space. Well, it is more because I don't want to overflow into another room. As far as storage units go, there really is a point where the cost of the storage space will exceed the value of the items in it. You could probably get a larger place if you add that $190 towards rent.

This is why I believe the Phalanx will be released before the Tomahawk. We will all get the Phalanx to calm us down as we wait for the Tomahawk. Otherwise some may just skip the Phalanx if the Tomahawk is released first.

I normally try to go with CD Japan, but for some reason, most of my points seem to expire about a week or two before pre-order night for the things I want.

Screw it! I wasn't going to get this but for 9,180 yen, I got me another cubical toy.
  5. so... its like "Smurfy"? I was wondering if any of you sick puppies errr... knowledgeable folk knew what Hikaru's (I'm not too sure what the proper term is) call sign/modex number/pilot number was when he was first assigned to Skull Squadron? I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet and was looking for that specifically on my last watch-through of SDFM. I found it, but I believe it was only ever used once.
  6. I totally misread that the first time! It sounded to me like you were making a joke that your wife once "broke open and leaked" much like her childhood toy did. I was gonna comment about how you generally keep what comes out when that happens to the wife and not so much when a toy does that.
  7. It only makes sense if you are saving on the shipping cost. For me that would be about $40 American. I'm waiting for the VF-1S to go on sale. I want it for a cubical toy.
  8. That thing always reminds me or this for some reason...
  9. How many hours does it save you detailing up a PF version compared to a "standard" release? Movie accuracy aside, as a trainer, wouldn't the correct color be the classic "safety orange"?
  10. So you could get two right shoulder joints. Or more precisely, an inverted right shoulder joint install as the left shoulder joint. Bandai and Arcadia probably need to step up their assembly plant QC a bit more.
  11. Rick has narrow hips, no butt and twiggy legs. Minmay has wider hips than he does. Great review as always.
  12. Dear god! He has that poor VT-1 sitting over a tube amp! The poor thing is going to cook! Then again, he may have multiples...

The vast majority of complaints you will hear about the Monster is the cost of shipping and the challenge of displaying something of that size. That being said: very, very, few people regret picking one up.
  14. That level of customization would affect my want to play verses display. I would be so reluctant to transform it. They call to me every so often. They want to be handled and transformed. That would snowball into needing multiples and more space for everything! At least for me anyway...
  15. You also need to consider that a lot of people feel into the trap of believing something while knowing that it came from a questionable source. This is why propaganda is so dangerous. At any rate, we'll all find out for sure in 2021.
  16. I think most of us resist the urge to do just that!
  17. I'm guessing that the actual creators are put in a difficult situation at that point. To most people at my work, it's all Robotech to them. They don't know any better and they don't have enough interest to research and learn. To one guy VF-1s are all Jetfire to him. It's easier to just let it go. You can educate them if they start asking more about it.

It feels like too long of a wait. It's better for my finances I suppose... At least for now.
  19. I suspected the KO came with no instructions. Your review feels like it was made for the more casual and curious collectors. It's perfectly fine for that. Those looking for a more inexpensive alternative to Yamato/Arcadia offerings were likely not your target audience. My comments were intended for them. Enjoy the trip down the rabbit hole! I look forward to see your Blue KO review.
  20. Just off the top of my head... The shoulders never seemed properly locked in place in GERWALK or Battroid mode. They appear very low in Battroid and too far back in GERWALK. The leg fins are folder over in GERWALK or Battroid mode. The door behind the head was not properly recessed in Battroid mode which is why you got pressure/rubbing into the paint of your tail fins. The right side cavity filler for Battroid mode is practically falling out in the last 4 minutes of the video. They just stood out to me. After some thought, It could very well be that it is the fault of the transformation instructions of the KO.
  21. Thanks to WaferMouse and rdrunner!
  22. I would skip or ignore the "Bots & Bits" review as the reviewer has next to zero product knowledge. He has the thing totally mis-transformed throughout the entire review. The BensKOllectables is better but neither will compare that KO against an actual Arcadia/Yamato. Anyway here are some MW Member reviews from last October/November (page 21 & 22 of this topic). I'm considering getting one if I can get it on a sale for an office toy. Just gotta be patient. They sold out the other day when it was $9 off.
