I ended up getting the Kairos from NY today. I did write them a ton to get it resolved. I think they want to honor all orders but it seems Bandai needs to make extra figures because of the preorder window being open too long. Initially like many of you I was angry at them because I felt trapped with store credits which I didn't know I would get for canceling the order. They did come around and shipped it so I can't complain. In my case they made it right in the end so I don't think they are trying to scam anyone.

I made the order on the 10th of October for one figure. The back and forth was pretty lengthy but eventually a person from the chat support helped me to make sure the issue would be looked at. Honestly, i think it comes down to poor communication. If they would email people reassuring them that the figure would be shipped even at a later date, i feel people would be less frustrated.

After some back and forth with NY, they reinstated my order and i got a shipping confirmation. i know some people here had a warning that the refund would be in the form of a voucher but i didnt and wanted to use the money to buy the figure somewhere else. I m happy that they made it right in the end.

I used a linked visa card, how do you force a refund?

Nippon yasan didnt have enough Kairos and because i paid with paypal they say they cannot give me a refund and instead gave me a voucher, this is unacceptable and should be seen as a shady pratice. i want to spend they money on the figure and because of their fiasco i havent been able to secure one. Their customer service is bouncing me around and arent willing to help me. I brought the issue to the attention of Paypal. My advice, dont use paypal for preorders, use your credit card, as i believe the credit card company could go after nippon yasan for non delivered items. I hope this gets resolved but as of right now i cannot recommend nippon yasan as my experience with this has been terrible so far.

I ve finally gotten the figure. I assumed DHL meant a 2 week shipping and not a month. Still happy to have it now. Its not a toy, its not a collectible; its a piece of art. Its beautiful really

I bought mine from Loopaza and i was wondering if you guys had received yours from them. Mine still hasnt arrived and its been more than 3 weeks, i tried contacting them but they are slow so i m wondering if its a scam I called paypal and basically the buyer protection is 180 days so there isnt much they can do. So is Loopaza is scam?

hahaha same here, but i m thinking Bandai must have realized that the demand was crazy so they had to make more. a lot of toys companies are trying to deal with zero stock and produce only units that will be sold like Fanstoys or ThreeA. Basically they dont want to overproduce since making such a collectible is expensive to manufacture. Macross figures are a niche product, not as mass market as One piece figures for ex. at least thats my understanding
