  1. Oldtaku!!! That is brilliant! Can we all completely steal that phrase? I think it really sums up the Western Macross fanbase (and most Western Anime fans in general).
  2. Holy $#@! That Sauron is fantastic! Is he the build a fig with this wave? (...I'm soooooo out of loop!...)
  3. A 1/48 TV Max and Kakizaki (sorry, I think I legally have to call him, "Ben," here in the states ) would just make for a quality triumvirate of old school goodness. It would be a single head mold and a color palate swap, but the nostalgia factor may make Bandai think it a worthy investment. GREAT pics, everyone!
  4. Thank you for the intel, jvmacross!
  5. Clearly underestimated the pre-order funtacular madness. But hey, I'm the old guy dipping my toes back in the collecting waters and you young whippersnappers don't go to sleep at 8pm. Guess I'll just have to wait for round 2! (side question: what's the usual timetable on the second round? or is that demand dependent on the valk in question?) Very cool to read the previous messages and see how helpful everyone was to each other. Congrats on those that got that pre-order!!!
  6. I wanted to reply to your thread but I don't have that option...anyway, looks like we had the same childhood cartoon-wise!  Your mention of Starblazers and G-Force (Battle of the Planets, I think the show was called in the US?) really took me back.  Welcome to the forum...some really nice folks here.

Thanks for the welcome, ShinerTheBock! I've definitely got a huge nostalgia factor for all those old cartoons. And in my area, G-Force was titled as both that AND Battle of the Planets. Who knew about Science Ninja Team Gatchaman in the 70's? Looking forward to more good stuff (and Macross goodness!) on the Forums.

  7. Welcome to the MW forum! I believe that only admin/moderators can reply in that section that you posted in. Also, the Sales section will be locked until you have 5 or more posts.

Thanks for the welcome and the forum intel!

  8. Greetings, All!!! I tried posting in the, "who and where are you from," forum (and now I'm "post 298" map), but I must be old and couldn't find a ,"reply," or, "post," link so apologies for starting a new thread. Any help in the posting/reply realm would be greatly appreciated. I'm Fred, from the Buffalo, New York area (and no, it doesn't always snow here...just most of the time!). Been a fan since the late 70's of anime (Starblazers and G-Force anyone?) and discovered Robotech in the 80's and totally keyed in on the Macross Saga. THEN discovered that Macross was it's own gigantically huge and popular entity in Japan and around the world and have been peeling back the onion ever since. Discovered this forum a few years ago and have been lurking around here for a bit, completely jealous of everyone's collections! Who knew this was all out there? I've started a very, very modest collection, primarily focused on my favorite, Max (Jenius or Sterling, take your pick!). Gotten some great ideas for displays from everyone here and it's great to see such a positive online community. Hopefully I'll get a handle on this reply/posting thing!
