  1. When they finally do announce their next Macross product, where/when will that likely be? Summer Wonfes? Winter? Is there one show they tend to favor? I'd love a new VF-11 or SV-51, but I'd be happier with something more than an armor set for a previous release.
  2. Are the images at HLJ accurate to the final product or are they shots of a prototype or early production model? This is my first Bandai 1/60 DX and I'm hoping it is complete with sword and green pods, but have seen no photos to that effect.
  3. Is the YF-21 really being considered? Is it just because of the YF-19 or Arcadia dropped a hint somewhere? If Arcadia stays true to form where/when might we see an official or unofficial announcement for the SV-51? To me it still sounds like a big maybe given the Japanese market for 'enemy' mecha and MC0 in general. A nice clear yes/no for either would help immensely.

To confirm: The new 1J is a repaint of the earlier HM-R GBP Valk with shoulder gap fillers ala YamArcadia? I think my GBP came with the stubby wings to begin with, but I might be wrong.
  5. How long does something have to sit before it is considered a shelf warmer? When it hits a 50% off sale? I don't think the VF-0S or VF-4 from Arcadia ever hit order stop that I saw at HLJ. The Nexx set with SAP seems to have sold out so hopefully that one is a bit improved.

If Bandai does a web exclusive MP VF-1 I wonder if it will be a MP 1J with Super/Strike. That would be pretty boss.
  7. I want the MC:D Regult with arms and missile pods in HM-R. A longshot, but Bandai does love mold milk.
  8. Oh, hell yes. At this point the bundle may not be significantly more expensive than buying gouged 1/60 Strike parts by themselves. Luckily my only 1S is a 1/48 so this works doubly well. Hopefully, this also means Arcadia still has the SDF/DYRL licenses and will eventually reissue the VF-1D, VE-1, VT-1 and M&M. It is curious that they chose Roy again. Anyone know why? Is he uber-popular? More than Hickory?
  9. Given the high quality and relative in-scaledness to 1/60 of Megahouses' VA Orguss, would it be possible to turn it into something close to a VF-Orguss with or without permanent modification? I know the head is different and the backpack, but the rest seems very much the same. I don't know anything about fabricating custom stuff so hopefully someone with insight into the matter can tell me if this is a pipe dream or one day a VF Orguss could grace my collection. Thanks.
  10. So, both the Orguss and the Olson are pitched as "first releases" as they both include special first release bonuses. I suppose that means a second release is soon on its way for both. I can't find a specific release or PO date or anything, but I am tempted to cancel my PO for the Olson if I can get a NIB Orguss for the same price down the road. The Olson is cool and all, but I really dig the Orguss color scheme. Anybody heard confirmation this is the case?
  11. Are the problems with the floppiness and looseness inherent to the design or just QC failures? Trying to talk myself into a Nexx SAP set, but still having trouble justifying it even at $200 at AE.
  12. So the YF-19 reissue is a direct response to Bandai's YF-19 prototype? It does seem odd to reissue the YF-19 with a weathering version on the way. I don't have a 1/60 Bandai yet, so I was really hoping they were going to move forward with their YF-19. If that looks very unlikely now (even with Bandai's love of mold milk) and Arcadia fixes their joints without telling anyone as with the VF-0S it may be worth the extra $100 and tampo loss.
  13. How well are Arcadia's products selling? Is it weird for their products to be available for so long? I get the VF-0A and VF-0D rotting due to their propensity to fall apart, but the VF-0S seems to be sitting a lot longer than the YF-19. Back in the heyday of Yamato would their products just sit for months and months? I would definitely like to see more signs of life from Arcadia, especially since I don't think their non-Macross business adds up to all that much. Some SDF/DYRL reissues would be most welcome, particularly the rarer 2.2 stuff (VF-1D, VE-1, VT-1, Super parts, etc).
  14. What exactly is a VF-0 CF? I google image'd it, but only found a Hasegawa VF-0C.
  15. Given that Bandai is releasing tons of stuff from multiple eras in different scales and Arcadia has nothing in the pipeline except 1/60 armor for the VF-0, I can't blame you for thinking this might be the end of the line for YamArcadia. I get there not being a PO or a painted prototype, but there's nothing. No early prototype or even a cardboard standee or a coming soon sign. I'd take a cryptic noncommital tweet or blog post at this point. For our members who know people at Arcadia, is this it? Are they done? Or is it a matter of patience with waiting more towards the end of the year? How much lead time did the YF-19 and VF-0 stuff get? Macross Zero isn't exactly SDF/DYRL in popularity and reissuing the VF-4 is starting to feel like a Hail Mary move. I really don't want there to be only one game in town for Macross, even if it's Bandai.
  16. There is a reason that all HM-R VF-1 releases are accompanied by option parts. I love HM-R, but I know the Valks are a poor substitute for their 2.2 1/60 siblings. The only real way HM-R Valks can compete is size and price. I think for a lot of us, HM-R is mostly about Zentraedi mecha and destroids with the Valks used to round out displays and dioramas. This may change if Bandai comes through on offering more exotic Valks (FB2012 VF-4 / VF-2A) and Figuarts Zentraedi. However, if the current pricing trend and limited selection in 1/60 continues while HM-R becomes more and more complete 1/100 may become dominant by default. In which case 1/60 will be for favorites only for most collectors instead of constituting the backbone of a collection. Bandai's DX-C could still change all of this by releasing $150-ish VF-1's in 1/60 with option parts or by keeping 1/35 VF-1's relatively competitive with Arcadia's increasingly pricey 1/60 line (VF-0S anyone?). As a side note I would love to see Bandai release Zentraedi pilots as part of an upscale gashapon/candy toy line like 66 Action currently being used for DBZ. It seems weird to have functional pilot compartments for the Regult et al. and no available pilots.
  17. Is there a for-sure date for seeing battroid mode for the SV-262? I remember hearing early April, but I don't know if that's a solid yes or just a guess based on episode 2 airing or what.
  18. Anyone have an idea as to how the new VF-4G is selling? Prior to its reissue I think the old Yamato version was one of the most expensive 1/60 valks, though I don't know if that was because the VF-4 is wildly popular or because very few were produced before Yamato imploded. Whatever the reason, I was pretty sure I'd never own one of these. Kudos to Arcadia for really coming through on this. However, I am curious: is there a reason the old version still commands a premium?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves the Nous-Ger. Hoping for a DYRL version first, but I'd buy any and all Bandai puts out (would love to see the MC2 version someday). The DYRL one shown in the HM-R dioramas appears to be semi-articulated so hopefully the wait will be fairly short, maybe the PO will go up later this year. While it hasn't been on screen in years, all of the other Zentraedi mecha have already made an appearance in Macross Delta, so we just might get to see the Nous in action again.
  20. Looking good. For those of you more familiar with the more recent VF's are melee weapons usually standard? I think at least one of the Delta valks is packing a sword or knife as seen in episode one. I really like the idea of a valk with a practical melee weapon like the bayonet the VF-11B had. Also, has there been any official word on the gerwalk only "option parts"? I remember the VF-30 had something similar, but in battroid mode. It would be nice if the new weapons were not restricted to just gerwalk mode. I know it will probably never happen, but would anyone else drop $200 or more on a 1/60 Delta Regult with the arms and the Q-Rau's missile pack? I'd go $300 on that, it was just too adorable.
  21. Is it normal for Arcadia or Yamato before them to announce incremental improvements for reissues? I'm not sure I want to wait a year or whatever it will be for the Bandai DX-C YF-19 and the current issues with this release are a deal breaker at that price point. Here's hoping Arcadia surprises us, but in a good way.
  22. Wow. Talk about blood in the water. You guys are like mecha collecting sharks with laserbeams attached to their fricking heads. I was guessing (why I put a + at the end) from a pricelist I made a while back that is clearly wildly out of date. Sorry for the confusion. Is the VF-1D reaching Elintseeker levels of rarity or something? I mostly only wanted it because it was orange and I didn't have that head type yet. In case anyone needs it here's a listing from Suruga-ya that is hopefully still valid for $284+ shipping/fees etc. http://www.suruga-ya.jp/kaitori_detail/602027214 Hopefully, that helps somebody out. Thanks again guy I quoted for the pic.
  23. Thanks! Completely missed that pic. It does look pretty cool, but not as cool as I thought it would be. I guess items you chase will always look better in your head than IRL. It's still great to see and it makes me wonder if there was ever a super strike 1D in the show? The only 1D with extra bits I know of is the Ostrich. I guess now I'll try Delta when it drops with the odd gerwalk only? VF-31 super parts. I think there's a pumpkin version there too so that should scratch that itch. Thanks again.
  24. Hello. The 1/60 VF-1D is the last standard VF-1 I don't have yet. The setup I'm thinking about getting is the orange V2.2 30th anniversary with DYRL Super Strike attached. In my head this is the most awesome VF-1 combo there could be, but I'd like to see pictures of it before I dump $200+ for the valk and $100+ for the parts in a year I could pick up a SV-262 or VF-31 for less money. Google image search was no help, so I'm hoping the MW community can lend a hand and post / send me some pics of this valk combo. I'm primarily interested in Battroid mode, but any and all pics would be appreciated. Thank you.
