  1. Usual scalper bots most likely hoovered up initial allocations.

At US340 + taxes, just hope scalpers get permanently stuck with unsold inventory of it.

As such, just wait a bit. It'll most likely come up avaiable again.

Just don't buy 'em from scalpers and/or scalper-shops...

I'm sorry if this question has been answered a thousand times but why is this the case with Arcadia releases?  I have seen it myself since I started collecting a few years ago.  Is it because Arcadia releases are typically more expensive to purchase than Bandai? Or is it because they don't offer completely new designs very often?  I'd be tempted to be a little worried about the VF-5000 pre-order just because it's the first toy version of that model to ever be released.  It's not like a tweaked and remolded SV-51 or a VF-0D premium finish or a VF-4.  Is it that Arcadia will adjust their production number based on the number of pre-orders and just keep making them if they need to?

Nothing to do with any of that nor with Arcadia itself.

It's all just about Bandai.  They've been employing strict artificial scarcity on their toy lines since at least the DX VF-25 Renewal era. This tactic sustains the current ludicrous preordering shenanigans for their toys, especially on their various Chogokins (DX, SOC, etc) and their MetalBuild (Gundam or otherwise) lines.

  3. Has these VF-25 Revivals been quite a dud to you guys?

I've recently reopened my VF-25 Alto Revival for a simple scale picture a couple of weeks ago.

Prior to that, it's been boxed after taking some pictures during delivery to me.

It's not quite playable nor satisfying to me.

The issue I've experienced with it is...

    Extreme joints looseness.

Very annoyingly so, as I've only really actually handled this item maybe twice or so after delivery for picture taking.

    It's practically unused!

This looseness should not happen at all!  At least, not after just two minor handlings.

Specifically, hips and shoulder joints looseness.

It keeps doing splits easily when in Battroid mode.

I have  to really do some effort on positioning to keep it just standing steady.

The arms just flail easily, too. No more friction at all, unlike the first time out of the box.

I've tightened up the screws, but doesn't seem to help at all.

It's been quite disappointing, to say the least.

Complete contrast to my YF-29 Max, which is still quite satisfyingly tight everywhere and very enjoyable to handle.

As such, I've seen/read some even more awful VF-25 Michael looseness and stuff.

Good thing I didn't bother to get that variant.

    Bummer.

Like amzn-jp, I don't think Ami does Return-for-Replacements anymore due to the expensive shipping-fees nowadays.

    Just Return-for-Refund, iirc.

    As such...

If you're as unsatisifed as me, then I can suggest to ask them for you to just return it for a full refund since the item is not acceptable to you.  You can then return the item via the cheapest USPS with tracking and return-receipt (Priority International, i think).  Should be around $50 or so. If you're in the US, that is.  Prolly way more expensive if you're in CA, Europe or Asia.

Then afterwards, try to get it again from HLJ this time since it's still available there for 34800jpy. They're gonna be a bit cheaper than Ami since they dont add the tokyo-tax, and you don't have to ship it right away. More shipping and return options, too.

    Good luck!

Just got mine today, and when i opened it i cannot be more disappointed. Mine got a really bad paint smudge on the shoulder armor. The gold paint looks like it's not fully dried, and someone just touching it, and smudged it. If any of you got this reissue on the way, i suggest you at least open it and check the gold paint. 1st time happening to me. And i own a lot of Yamato, and Arcadia products. 20240116_234550_HDR.jpg.d0ceadc7ad7b35a000b7598802ab519c.jpg

    That sux!

    Manufacturing/Factory damage.

Try to return it for a replacement asap!

Are the shoulder joints actually brighter, or did the rest of the valk get darker?

I might make a frankenvalk, and slap together the best-looking parts of both the new and old releases, depending on how difficult it is to do.

This guy tweeted some pics of the Yammie and the reissue together:

Seems other older tweets have also mentioned the reissue being slightly darker than the previous versions.
