  1. Nothing to do with any of that nor with Arcadia itself. It's all just about Bandai. They've been employing strict artificial scarcity on their toy lines since at least the DX VF-25 Renewal era. This tactic sustains the current ludicrous preordering shenanigans for their toys, especially on their various Chogokins (DX, SOC, etc) and their MetalBuild (Gundam or otherwise) lines.
  2. We'll most likely have to wait for Jenius' review to watch a 1-1 comparo between the original 2014 and this reissue. If he still has 2014 version, that is. I think neither Wotafa nor MarkH has the 2014 version, either, as their own archived reviews were the original Yammie.
  3. Heppoko already built his in Battroid-mode: https://twitter.com/simsim5479/status/1747988141557060009 Not sure if it's just the shot-angle, but Bandai and their huge feet fetish...
  4. Has these VF-25 Revivals been quite a dud to you guys? I've recently reopened my VF-25 Alto Revival for a simple scale picture a couple of weeks ago. Prior to that, it's been boxed after taking some pictures during delivery to me. It's not quite playable nor satisfying to me. The issue I've experienced with it is... Extreme joints looseness. Very annoyingly so, as I've only really actually handled this item maybe twice or so after delivery for picture taking. It's practically unused! This looseness should not happen at all! At least, not after just two minor handlings. Specifically, hips and shoulder joints looseness. It keeps doing splits easily when in Battroid mode. I have to really do some effort on positioning to keep it just standing steady. The arms just flail easily, too. No more friction at all, unlike the first time out of the box. I've tightened up the screws, but doesn't seem to help at all. It's been quite disappointing, to say the least. Complete contrast to my YF-29 Max, which is still quite satisfyingly tight everywhere and very enjoyable to handle. As such, I've seen/read some even more awful VF-25 Michael looseness and stuff. Good thing I didn't bother to get that variant.
  5. Bummer. Like amzn-jp, I don't think Ami does Return-for-Replacements anymore due to the expensive shipping-fees nowadays. Just Return-for-Refund, iirc. As such... If you're as unsatisifed as me, then I can suggest to ask them for you to just return it for a full refund since the item is not acceptable to you. You can then return the item via the cheapest USPS with tracking and return-receipt (Priority International, i think). Should be around $50 or so. If you're in the US, that is. Prolly way more expensive if you're in CA, Europe or Asia. Then afterwards, try to get it again from HLJ this time since it's still available there for 34800jpy. They're gonna be a bit cheaper than Ami since they dont add the tokyo-tax, and you don't have to ship it right away. More shipping and return options, too. Good luck!
  6. I predict 12,800jpy MSRP (excludes tokyo-tax), or 14080jpy with tokyo-tax.
  7. That sux! Manufacturing/Factory damage. Try to return it for a replacement asap!

  9. This guy tweeted some pics of the Yammie and the reissue together: https://twitter.com/muko037/status/1743874315341410605 web-translated: Seems other older tweets have also mentioned the reissue being slightly darker than the previous versions.
  10. wotafa retro-reviews Takatoku 1/55 VF-1J a few hours ago:
  11. Or try Manda on jp release-date for the usual disappointed owners and/or box-damaged ones... Might be cheaper than US release even after ludicrous shipping-fees...
  12. At any rate, try your luck at AmiAmi tmrw or something if you'd missed out tonite and still want to try to PO it from a legit jp-shop... https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail?gcode=FIGURE-164591 01/11 @ 11am Japan-Time
  13. Add AJP to that po-unicorn list... https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B0CRK23S71 I clicked and failed on AJP before I even got one at HLJ...
  14. Same effort to do with the Movie version, but you'll have to find the old fansubs to get the proper english-subs. That is due to the JP-BD's movie-edition having engrish-subs. The old US DVD Mangle had burned-in subs. See diff here: US Mangle dvd's old burned-in subs: vs JP-BD native engrish sub: vs JP-BD with old fansubs:
  15. It'll require some minor effort, but do try to get the Japanese-BD and just add Neil Nadelman's excellent english subtitles from your Mangle DVD... See the video diff here: Manga's old US DVD OVA edition: vs JP Blu-ray OVA-1 with Neil's subs... I'll post the movie-version diffs next... Fwiw, the JP-BD's OVA version does not have english-subs. Only japanese/japanese-subs and english vocals.
  16. web-translation is a bit iffy, but this is one of the great features in certain Yamarcadia valks... https://twitter.com/Ezwea1/status/1743882660311941601 web-transalted snap:
  17. A bit too precise, this time. The hand/fingers on this reissue is too tight that the triggger-finger will have stress mark when you attach the gunpod. That said, here's mine with my other 2023 reissued/recolored valks...
