  1. If you purchased it from NY they hand write all of their shipping labels which can be illegible at times. Sometimes upon entry in the U.S., USPS can't read the label and it will sit there until someone calls or they (USPS) can figure out the address. If the package gets sent back to NY because USPS can't read the label, NY will make you pay again to have it shipped back. I'm not sure if they are still handling things this way since I've stopped using them a couple of years ago (due to the $100's of dollars they cost me to have items re-shipped), but if your package is stuck at USPS in LA I would give whomever is handling your package a call as soon as possible before it gets sent back.
  2. Just an FYI for those of you using Nippon Yasan.... They hand write all of their shipping labels which can be a big problem. I had some major issues with them because of unreadable address labels. In the end they cost me around $200 in shipping because they made me pay to have them re-ship items that were sent back to them (due to illegible shipping labels). This is on top of a return I had where they gave me an incorrect return address..... not once but twice. They made me re-pay to have the return shipped back to them even after acknowledging their error.
  3. Paypal will clearly state 'refund' when you receive it. If you are having this much trouble with Amiami, I would steer clear of Nippon Yasan. They are way worse than this if you run into a similar situation.
  4. They were really good when I first started to buy stuff from them, but the last few months have been really bad. About a 2 months ago they told me one of my two missing orders arrived back at their office after I inquired about it. They told me the address in their system was wrong and I needed to pay them to have it re-shipped. I checked with Paypal, checked my account on their website, & and my address was correct on both sites. I asked them to send me a photo of the shipping label so we could figure out what the problem was. That request was ignored, so I asked them for a refund minus their initial shipping costs. (Since they had the merchandise I though was a reasonable request). They get back to me and say they refuse to give me a refund and are just going to re-ship the package. It's been about a month and I still haven't seen it yet. Anyway, to keep this on topic I cancelled the 2 YF-29's I had on order with them. Just a heads up if any of you are planning to order these fast packs from them.
  5. I wouldn't trust NY with any changes to your order. Had to make a return and they gave me the wrong delivery address to their own office twice (which I had to pay shipping on twice). Then there are two shipments I have with them that have been floating around between Japan and the US for months. They accused me of having an incorrect address in their system.... problem is I haven't changed my address with them & have received all my packages they have sent (with the exception of these last two orders). I've pretty much written off the $350 in shipping and merchandise that was paid out. That company is seriously disorganized.
  6. Install Perian and you should be good to go. http://perian.org/
  7. If you had version 1.0 of the software disk that came with the first wave of Japan PS2's you could punch in some code to make the DVD player region free. It was quickly replace with version 1.1 that 'fixed' the problem.
  8. Congrats Carl! I know all too well how long you have been after this guy Glad to see that you finally got it
  9. You can also try Parafilm: Parafilm
  10. Got my kit back. Thanks Ken! Hope that your computer is up and running.
  11. Hi Everyone, I guess it's time for me to reluctantly step forward. This project has been going on for much too long and is beginning to look like a mess. I am the owner of the VB-6 that was to be recasted and apologize to everyone who has been waiting for this kit. It was my decision to place it in the hands of Valkyrie. I haven't heard from him in a while and he still has my original (which I would like to get back). For those of you who are asking for a refund I have been currently trying to contact him so I'll ask him where he is on that. He hasn't been responding to my e-mails so I will try to locate a number I can reach him at. Just to let you all know so I don't get a flood of PM's, I do not have your money. I paid to have it shipped to Valkyrie and asked for nothing in return. That is the extent of my involvement in all of this. I have been missing my VERY expensive kit for a long time, but I trust Valkyrie. I know (or at least hope) that he is trying to get this done as fast as possible. Valkyrie.... Please don't make a liar out of me. I'll post more when or if I can get in touch with him.
  12. Hi Carl, I believe that Switchblade did make a VF-1 that was non-variable. From what I can remember, it was a 1/72 scale kit. Then again, it could have been just a FAST Pack addition to the 1/72 variable Bandai kits. There was a Switchblade auction up on Yahoo JP a while back that featured a VF-1. I'll check and see if I saved any pics of it and send them to you.
  13. I don’t think you have to worry about the authenticity of those models. I’ve had several deals with Valk009 and he’s a straight shooter.
  14. The person who built this has some other photos up here: PHOTOS Some of those kits pictured were actually sold on Yahoo Japan a few months back.
  15. As far as Japanese beer brands go, nothing beats Orion Beer. I've hardly tasted any other brand that goes down as smooth as Orion does. Good stuff! I used to live about a mile from the brewery in Nago. One of the best beers I have ever had off the tap.
