  1. Loop, I had read about the hair dryer method a while ago on another forum, but never needed to use it till now. Here are steps that I did. 1. I covered the figure in rags so only the area I wanted hair dryer to hit was exposed (the Valk looked like it was going into surgery). 2. Set the hair dryer on low speed and hot for temp. 3. Held it so the nozzle was about 4" - 6" away from the fig and waved it over the area making sure not to stop in one place for too long. 4. Keep an eye on the stress mark, stop every few passes to see if the stress mark faded. 5. Once the stress mark was no longer visible, stop and let the fig cool down. Hope that helps.
  2. Alright, I gave the hair dryer a try on the stress marks on my Ozma and am happy to report that its much better. 1 line is no longer visible and the other is considerable less obvious.
  3. I thought the same thing, on mine there were no signs of a reseal. The outside tape and inner tape were factory. I think Bandai hired Godzilla after he retired from making movies in Japan and is now packing Valkyries.
  4. Thank you everyone. I'll take more photos this weekend (Gerwalk and Battroid). Kaneda, I couldn't find a nice skull image online so I just drew one in illustrator. haha David, hope your 29 doesn't have the stress marks that Scyla and mine have.
  5. Having the stress marks on the fuselage didn't stop me from taking some pics. I just Photoshopped the stress marks out. I'll figure out how to fix the stress marks, but for now here's a few pics. Enjoy! I like this shot the most, I think it has the Space Pirate Captain Harlock feel to it.
  6. I received mine today and I have the same issue.... Opened the box and that's the first thing I saw, the stress marks. I am asking the same question as Scyla, any suggestions to remove or reduce the stress marks via the hair dryer method?
  7. Its a very subtle difference, barely noticeable in the lighting conditions I have setup for photos. I know what you mean about NY dragging its feet. I have yet to see my Ozma 29 in person, but that wait will soon be over. VM, awesome and thank you. KB, Thank you for the compliment. I agree about the lighting playing a factor and also that I shoot with a longer exposure time, the camera is catching the subtle difference in the plastics/materials.
  8. I do notice a slight color difference with the YF-29 and super parts. I'll compare the colors during the day. Also my lighting and camera settings might be exaggerating the difference ever so slightly.
  9. Super Parts arrived today...
  10. Same here, I first thought it was a shipping notice for something else... then was mildly disappointed it was the Isamu super parts. Nice! Now I don't have ship it to your house. LOL I didn't get a preparation email, just a shipping notice.
  11. TCracker, Very nice! I couldn't help but stare at the Ozma 29 for a bit and seeing the Alto 171 makes me want to get one. Keep posting pics. (especially the Ozma 29)
  12. Kaneda I posted too soon... turns out it was the shipping notice for the Isamu super parts and not the Ozma 29. I will take pics of the super parts on the Isamu 29. I edited my original post. 10:00pm PST update: - recieved my shipping confirmation and tracking number for Ozma 29 from NY. I hope everyone waiting gets their confirmation soon.
  13. Got my shipping notice for my super parts from NY.
  14. Still nothing from NY in regards to the Ozma 29, but I did get my shipping notice for the Isamu super parts...
  15. HA! Thanks for the offer, but more than likely it will be lost in the room of Macross stuff never to be found again.
  16. I checked status of them on NY and their page says estimated release date of 5/31/214. I am guessing that's the date they will get them in stock? If that's the case I'll hopefully have them when I get back from vacation.
  17. Thank you for the compliment close313, I am glad people like my photos it drives me to improve my photography. I'll keep posting, but if you want to see more check out my flickr page. I am waiting for my Ozma 29 to take pics of it.
  18. Yeah, that cool with me. The color scheme look great!
  19. Make it a low viz stand, paint the SMS a dark grey.
  20. No problem and thank you. I think the combination looks good with the S with the F armor parts. I am hoping for a reissue for the VF-25S too, come on Bandai!
  21. I emailed them and the response I got was my order will be shipped out beginning of next week. I know this doesn't make up for the lack of response to your question by NY, I do hope you get order soon.
  22. Kaneda thank you for the compliment. Mommar, I agree with Kaneda Ozma's Armor parts are more a dark blue with a slight tinge green/grey.
  23. no3ljm here you go. Sorry I didn't swap the leg armor parts. Hope that is ok.
  24. Yes, the armor skirts are the same color of grey between the both of them. When I get home I can swap armors on the Ozma and take a quick pic of the Ozma with the Alto Armor parts for you. Here's 2 more photos you can compare with.
