These are progress shots of the VF-1D taking shape from a donor VF-1J.

This version of the VF-1D contains all the bells and whistles of the SK's vision.

Thanks to Shoji, Captain America, BigKid24, and Yamato for the inspiration.

Based off the design from the "VF-1 Variable Fighter Master File" Book.

The Repair Manipulators are from the "Macross Deign Works" book. They also appear in SDF-M.

As seen in SDF-M, this will be the stripped down valkyrie hanging in the maintenance hangar.

With a very slight variation of the version shown in the TV show, this one will be complete, full of lineart gimmicks, and completely transformable just like the lineart.

Refernces from are variety of sources are being used, but due to the limits of retaining a strong and intact transformable valkyrie certain parts are not all that exact.

More to come...

There are many upgrades to this custom, but many nostalgic features remain in place, such as, the firing mechanisms.

All but the 2-seaters are done.

Once I'm done with those three, I should be good.

Oops, forgot I need the VF-X. Then I should be done.

This was made especially for the MacrossWorld 10th Anniversary Convention 10-10-10.

It stands at a staggerring 4 1/2 ft. and weighs almost 50 lbs.

I wanted to make this out of real cake but given the density and size of a real cake would make it almost impossible to transport this alone, and assemble it in the hall without a few assistants.

This has been a very slow build since it's debut at the MacrossWorldCon 2009. But one day it will be finished.

The fastpacks were custom fit from a 1/100 VF-1 Bandai kit. These were produced long before Toynami's fast packs.

This is not a drawing, but more of a puzzle brought together using the box art on the side flap of the Bandai VE-1. Depicted on the side flap is the battroid and fighter modes (missing parts).

This was the ragdoll that was used as a civilan during reflex testing of the YF-19 and the YF-21.

Finally, a well balanced blend of Takatoku and Yamato all in a convenient easy to swallow custom.

This is solely based from the custom paint sceme of the 1/48 Yamato LV1 version.
