Your stands are amazing! I would definitely be interested in buying a few for sure! I did go through this thread but just in case I missed any comment you might have made regarding the possibility of making these available for purchase in the future.. What is your outlook on that possibility at this stage of development?

Oh! please be sure to post a few pics after you've completed the panel lines! I was thinking of doing the same with mine when it arrives.. I have a "double nuts" which has been panel lined and it looks great!

Its not the shipping costs that bother me so much, its the fact they have no idea when they are getting their stock and or when they will be shipping the YF out.. I was under the impression that it might have been a faster option to buy out of Japan instead.. I have had a pre-order cancelled by HKC in the past as they had over allocated.. HLJ still says they have stock.. I just don't want to miss out or have to pay a higher re-sale price later on..

although I pre-ordered my YF-19 through HK Collectibles, (which I kinda regret now) do you think it would be safe enough to just buy one from HLJ and cancel my pre-order with HKC? I emailed them to ask when they will be shipping them and they have no clue as to when they will be receiving stock which is a little disheartening to hear..

OMG!!! It's getting so close I can almost smell its plastically goodness!! Seeing that vacant space in my display cabinet for it is starting to drive me bonkers! Gahhh hurry up already and release it!!

I've had both but recently let my VT-1 go but even regardless of cost I'd take the VF-1D any day of the week. I'll only replace the VT-1 if Arcadia release an updated version in the future..

I'd buy that for multiple dollars!!

Hehe! I ended up with three of the same TV Kakizaki as a result of cheap price and an order stuff up from maximabuy. But yeah love the color scheme of them! Its cool to have three as I can display them each in a different mode!

Here's my current Macross display setup. Not perfectly ideal as I have pretty much run out of room especially with another Valk and two female characters on their way.. Its an Ikea cabinet which is ok I guess (was cheap) but there's a 5mm gap all the way around the door which allows a little too much dust in for my liking making monthly de-dusting necessary. I was thinking of either getting another of the same cabinet or spending a lot more on a much larger cabinet. But I gotta keep costs under control as you can imagine.. I place a little battery powered LED light pack on the very top which adds a nice lighting effect at night. I would like to wire in some small LED's on the upper corners of each level but not knowing if I'll keep this setup im a little hesitant spending any money on it.. Oh yeah there was a crappy looking flower pattern on the very bottom which I cut to size a piece of composite panel from work, sprayed it black and stuck down a Macross 30th anniversary sticker from ebay. I think it looks kinda cool!

haha! firecracker in his jetfire! LOL! yep i'd say that's most likely it! Oh yeah the other thing he said was its creepy that someone of my age (like im really that old at 37..) is still playing with toys.. They're collectibles idiot I don't actually play with em loser.. sheesh!

I have to say that 99% of people who see my various collections of stuff (Macross, cars, bike, planes etc..) mostly make pleasant or encouraging comments about them. Hey its my hobby and its what I do! There was this one time (only just recently actually) that a mate of my brothers was over and saw my Macross display and immediately referred to them as "transformers s%&t".. I felt overwhelmingly obligated to inform him that they were indeed NOT transformers or anything of the sort but he stood firm insisting that if they do transform then they are just as he originally referred them as.. Then the argument of how much they cost started up with him telling me im an idiot for spending as much as I do on them.. and.. that I am obviously childish, immature for collecting toys and rubbish in the first place and should grow up and act my age. I was quite surprised at how verbally aggressive he was about it.. My brother later apologized for his mates behavior and said that he can be extremely narrow minded about a lot of things.. As far as I am concerned he can go f@#$ himself.

I have to agree with you there! I also just finished watching Frontier (late to the party I know I know..) and LOVED it! Yeah was cool all the references they made to SDFM! On a further note I did like that Mirya still had (and used) her VF-1 in Macross 7! Shame it eventually bit the dust though..
