  1. Uhg, I need help. I am trying to convert my VF-19 from bot mode to gerwalk/fighter and I absolutely can not get the hip swing mechanism to unlock/budge and swing back down. Can anyone offer some tips?

Well shoot....... here's hoping they do the VF-2JA too.

That is not unattractive except for the black intakes abruptly changing to white at the gerwalk joint. Also, where are the FP's?!
  4. BOOM, target acquired.
  5. And I just ordered one from AE yesterday for $240........
  6. Sorry for asking but I only recently decided to jump back into Macross collecting and took the plunge on some DX figures. Do we know 100% yet what is going to be released for the remainder of the Delta series and/or what is coming next after Keith and Messer?
  7. Got it! Thanks for the hot tip!
  8. Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll be passing on these.
  9. I've been way out of the loop on Macross World and Macross toys in general. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this but what is the general opinion of these Bandai Macross Frontier 1/100 Scale figures? In particular I'm curious about these two: VF100's VF-25G Messiah Valkyrie - Mikhail Type VF100's VF-25S Messiah Valkyrie - Ozma Lee Type Do they transform and if so to all three modes? Are they very articulated? Do they look nice? Are they sturdy? How do they stack up to other offerings of the same Valks (if there are any)? I'm thinking about buying one or both and would like to hear some input first. Thanks guys, -DC
  10. I know it's not a Macross toy but does anyone know if somebody is offering a parts service for the Toynami MPC Alpha Fighters? I've got a Rook Alpha with a broken arm that I'd like to get fixed or sell. Thanks, -DC
  11. Ok, based on what I can see on anymoon it looks like I've got a 1/35 Gakken Alpha Fighter and the 1/20 Gakken Cyclone. I had visited that page before but didn't see what I was looking for because I missed the next and previous buttons at the bottom of the page. Anyway thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction.
  12. Hello all! I'm trying to make some room in my house for new stuff by selling off some of my older toys and collectibles. Last night I came up against a couple of my old Robotech toys but as far as the internet goes I can't really find any information about them. Here is what I have: Rook Bartley - VFA-6Z Alpha Fighter Scott Bernard? - Cyclone Any information or pictures you could give me would be very helpful to me as I try to sell these items. Thanks, -DC PS. Sorry if this isn't the right forum for these sorts of questions but I wasn't sure really where non-Macross toy stuff goes
  13. Ok, as much as I hate to be "that guy"...... this thread has grown to nearly 100 pages long and I simply don't have the time to read through it all. So now that several of the ride armors are out there, I put the question to you all. In short, which ride armor do you guys currently feel is the best. I'm just wondering if there's any concensus out there because a friend of mine may be visiting Japan soon and said she'd happily pick me up any item or two. Also, does anyone think the ride armor that is yet to come out (Beagle?/Toynami?) looks like its worth waiting for ? Thanks
  14. That looked like one big honkin' gunpod..... I counted 5 barrels.
  15. I also noticed that the black stealth bomber aircraft looks rather similar to the Phantom X-19 Stealth Fighter from the old 3 3/4" GI Joe line.
  16. Still no word from Toynami.... I think I'm getting ignored yet again.
  17. Well, I e-mailed Toynami again... I'll let you all know how it turns out.
  18. Yeah thanks for all the advice guys. I had tried contacting Toynami via e-mail when this first happened but I never received a response. Does anyone have a proper e-mail address or phone number?
  19. Hey guys! Awhile back a friend of mine was handling my MP Alpha Fighter when, through no fault of his or mine, its left arm snapped off at the bicep joint. I really want to fix this up but I have no customizer experience of any sort. The main problem I'm facing is that these Toynami MP Alpha's have virtually NO visible screws so I can't get the fighters shoulder apart to get at the damaged piece. It looks to me like its all glued together but I'm not 100%. Maybe somebody else that owns an Alpha can shed some light on that. If it is glue, it's been suggested to me that I try boiling water or alcohol to dissolve or soften the glue enough to pry apart but I'm worried about melting/warping/discoloration. The white part is the bicep joint which consists of two pieces. The lower piece retracts into the forearm. The upper piece retracts into the shoulder. The lower bicep features a post (a rather thin post) that inserts into the upper bicep and is held by some mechanism I haven't seen, probably just a knob. This two piece setup gives the fighter its mid-arm swivel articulation, but in this case it created a very thin and fragile piece of plastic that has a lot of force exerted on it during transformation. Below are some pics of the fighter so I can try to explain how the joint works and how it broke. This first pic is of the still intact right arm so you can see what it looks like. This pic is of the forearm. Note the thin white post at the top of the bicep... that is where the breakage occured. This pic is of the shoulder. You can see the hole in the upper bicep that the post plugs into. The breakage on this part happened somewhere up inside that hole. I want to get the shoulder and maybe then that bicep piece apart so I can see where it broke and possibly fix it. Any help or advice that you guys could give me will be greatly appreciated. -DC
  20. What is that to the left of the Shin VF-0A? It looks vaguely like a VF-11 with some kind of FAST packs?
  21. Thanks again for the advice guys, and the offer katana, but I don't think I'm too bad at repairs so I reckon I'll take a crack at it myself. I really was hoping somebody else had disassembled one of these things already so I wouldn't have to do any guess work but I guess there's a first time for everything. Since the guy that broke it is willing and able to buy me a replacement I'll refrain from frauding Toynami... not knockin it and had it been my own fault I'd consider it to be sure but, since I don't have to I won't. If anyone comes up with any other information for me or thinks they can help, please post here or just PM/E-mail me, I'll be grateful for it. -DC
  22. I appreciate your insights guys, of course I'm still open to anyone else with repair suggestions. I do things the honest way if possible though in truth aren't Toynami's all half broken when you get them? You're helping anyway, thanks! -DC
  23. I know this isn't a Macross toy per-say but its a toy related question and i know most of the customizing guru's hang out on this board. I'll defer to the judgement of moderators if they want to move this. The guy next door came over and started messing with my MPC "Rook's" Alpha Fighter. As I have long feared he would do, he broke the arm off of it. The arm segment retracts into both the shoulder and the forarm for transformation, the middle section where the swivel joint broke at its connection point to the shoulder piece. Its connected to the shoulder via a relatively brittle and thing cylinder thats anchored into the shoulder assembly (atleast I think) and it snapped in half. He offered to buy me a replacement, which I'll probably take him up on, but I'd still like to fix this one if possible. Does anybody out there deal or know of somebody that deals in replacement parts for MPC's? Maybe can anybody guide me throgh another method of fixing the broken part firmly? I haven't really had a chance to look at it myself yet but I don't see anyway of getting the shoulder assembly apart. Since I know my description of the breakage is probably not very good, I can post pictures later tonight if anyone thinks they can help me. Any help will be apperciated -DC
  24. So you all know, after the last page and a half or so of comments I was absolutely horrified at the thought of clicking the pic of EXO's monster posed next to a 1/100... And also, fear not! If your monsters are anything like mine then extended and frequent play has had little or no damaging effect as of yet. And also again..... penis. There, someone said it. w00t.
