1. I think with the latest firmware, you don't need to rename the files. I think the most important part with the video is that it has to be in a specific resolution. Video 9 can do it automatically.
2. I've had that problem too. I have my bookmark as http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/_main_menu.htm and I go to the forum by clicking on the forum button.
3. In the past, I've had problems staying logged in after every few days where I have to put the password again eventhough I've checked the "rememebr me" during log in. However, in the past few days, I have to log in for several times a day. I wonder if anyone else has this problem as well. To answer the questions: I've never been logged out in the middle of the session. I usually browse for several minutes in 1 session I'm not sure if I log in with 2 computers at the same time, although I do have 2 computers, one with XP, and the other with Vista Business. Both have this problem. I usually clear my cookies every week. I think everytime I've cleared it, I'll have to relog in. I use CCleaner to clear my cookies. I have IE set to clear temporary internet files everytime I close the browser. Could this be the problem? I use IE7 I use Charter for my ISP at home, and the school's network. The computer running XP is always connected through Charter, whereas the laptop running Vista switches between Charter or the school's network. Thanks
4. Yes, I'm refering to the mid-wing hinge. The bars don't help much in my case. Oh, and the knee swivel is kinda loose, but not so much that they move around at the slightest tilt.
5. I have the identical wing hinge problem as well, but I fixed it using the flip and trim method. The wings are a bit loose, and I put some super glue on them to tighten them. I don't think I notice any stress mark or cracks yet. However, There's one pylon on the wing where I can't attach the dark gray missile/fuel tank. It's hard to attach and there's no 'click' when it's attached. A little flick on it would make it fall off the pylon. I tried to trim the pylon, but so far it only help a little
6. Just received the HLJ's shipping notification
7. Anyhoo, just to clarify my comment, I think Graham just passed the information given to him at the time being. Not because he didn't know what the material was and started making stuff up, nor was he in any conspiracy or whatnot
8. OH NO! Graham's one of *the man*!
9. Oh, come on now. Maybe Graham simply didn't know. I find it realy hard to believe that he has 'other' agenda' after all Graham has done in this forum.
10. Same here. Got my LV VF-1A from Valkyrie-Exchange at market price.
11. Nobody got this baby yet? I just got mine today. It's bliss, although I wish the landing gears are non-removable PS: Awesome articulation as well
12. Oooo, I wish Starscream's main landing gears are placed more properly as in the real F15 instead of near the end.
13. I use silicone oil to lubricate joints, usually those involving ball joints in my Valks
14. Would it be weird for a guy to go to the cosmetic secation at a department store and purchase a nail polish?
15. Kyatsu, I'll let you be the judge from the pictures I posted previously. In addition to those, I'll post some close up pictures as well. I like it, personally as they are not too thick as I found the gundam marker is too dark and too thick. The cotton bud and alcohol are to remove excessive lead, and I also use a small flat head screwdriver covered with the wet cotton bud along the panel lines to further clean the excessive lead. I used to do the panel lines using the tamiya enamel paint and thinner but I ran out of thinner that day, and I'd like to try the pencil method anyway. 399339
16. I use a mechanical pencil with B lead with plenty of cotton buds and rubbing alcohol. I think it turned out decent.
17. Just got mine from TwinMoon. Finished transforming from fighter to gerwalk, ant battroid. So far, nothing too loose, as in the knee caps, but some of the wheel covers are "kinda" loose although they stay in place. No magnet problem, no arm problem. However I found one of the foot is not aligned when in a closed position, and the knee rotattion is kinda loose on both legs. Errr, also the left foot doesn't lock when in fully pulled position, and left arm rotation is kinda loose as well.
18. Can't wait for Starscream MPC, as well as any pictures.
19. isopropyl alcohol is the same as isopropanol, or rubbing alcohol. They are usually sold in pharmacy in 91% by volume or 70% by volume (more common). Just make sure you get the clear one. sometime they put dye in it.
20. It really depends on the types of plastic. I assume the Valks are made of ABS, when I checked the chemical/solvent resistance of plastic handbook. It has mixed results for isopropanol/rubbing alcohol. Some (mostly) say it's unaffected, while other severely attacked it (at 50C temp). However, The testing used 100% isopropanol, and for 7 days or more (I assume soaking). So for general cleaning, I'd say diluted isopropanol is fine. Similar results with ethanol.
21. Wow! I want one, but I don't want one that bad. Aren't these like half that price on HLJ? 348103 Actually, it's 3 times the current price at ebay. Most people sell it for $100 with ~$30-$40 shipping. I bought 2 from HLJ and the total including shipping was $160. however, HLJ no longer sell them.
