They are. They convey every form perfectly, thus perfect transformation.
Line art accurate transformation, no. Parts forming required.
Um...
Can I get a second opinion on this? Anyone? π

There's no way these are perfect transformation right? I'm assuming no because of the giant head.

Bump so people can discuss the upcoming fugo God of Flame
Oh my god. Had no idea what this was, googled it, and it's exactly what I need right now. Thank you for the heads up.

One must assume the W is for Weab.

Not a fan of this style, especially on a 4 inch fig. The level of detail attempted is ludicrous at this scale. All the wrinkles and paint washing makes everything look messy and dirty. I guess if you need things to look ultra gritty to make yourself feel like you're not playing with toys? Even that base/stand looks depressing. As usual, the attempt at gritty realism is at odds with the mall ninja armored knee pads.

At the moment, no! Expect VE-1 to be announced shortly after the release of the VT-1...π
I wrote a complete overview of all the releases.....
Thank you!

Are any retail releases of the Chogokin 1/48 coming up besides the Ostrich?

Beachhead is looking decent but his balaclava suffers from tighty-whities syndrome. Surprised he doesn't come with a red beret.
Snow Serpent is okay but the helmet doesn't have the earmuffs (or whatever they were) that gave it its definitive shape. And no AK?
Doesn't matter because I'm not buying Classified.

This is an event exclusive during Tamashii Nations 2023. The only way to get one now is check Mandarake or Yahoo Japan Auctions. Prices range from Y50000 to Y120000. If you don't mind the price or don't want to place auction on YJA listing, Luna Park is selling it for Y64500.
Ah. The "second release in April" made it sound like there would be another opportunity to get one at retail.

Great pictures of the (Mech Guts) VF-1S Hickaru, for those who might be thinking of getting one when the second release, is released in April!
I'm out of the loop; how does one acquire one of these?

I'd rather they collabed with Takara to make their 1/48 VF-1 in Jetfire livery. However, given the popularity of the vintage G1 figs and the Missing Link approach to imbuing them with modern articulation, I can understand the desire for a fully articulated Chunky Monkey. If Bandai did agree to it, though, it would only be available through Asian stores; Harmony Gold would be all over it if any attempt was made to sell them in US stores. So wish their Macross license hadn't been renewed.
I am so down for this!

I wonder if a third party will make bigger thighs to pop on to Missing Link Prime.

The Super 7 Ultimates are tempting but I'm trying to resist. I have Snake Eyes and might pick up Storm Shadow and leave it at that.
Some of theΒ Classified figs look good but half look bad to me. I'm not going to buy 6" and 7" figures and the Ultimates win that fight.
Now the upcoming Super 7 o-ring figs are what I'm most excited about. I think they're going to knock those out of the park, and I'm all in on those.

I remember thinking his art was getting weird in the late 90's.

I think this T shirt design is pretty funny:

I coulda sworn there was a newer Megazone thread.

I'd still like to see a V1 or V2 Snake Eyes without all the modernized bullshit. Like, no underwear seams on his face mask, please. No seam lines at all, no random mesh patterns just because, no mall ninja armor plates. Just a scaled up version of the original.

Random pic of legendary Apple graphic artist Susan Kare back in the day. Some familiar items on her shelf.
