i think eugimon means the tab that's part of the front canopy should go in the slot before you push up the tab that's underneath the nose cone... see pic.

BTW, for #3, do yourself a favor and get the new VF-11B... the new Isamu pilot fig fits perfectly inside the YF-19's cockpit. i just hate those old pilot figs w/ the shoddy paint w/c melts and sticks to the seat. the new 1/60 pilot figs are just perfect.

after seeing that , i went and cut the tab by a little bit , now it fits . weird

ARGH I got YAMATODDDD!!! I just got a new 25th anniversary YF-19. This is my second next generation Yamato valk and I am pissed to say the least.

All these problems are in fighter mode right out of the box. I have not yet transformed it.

1) The nose is loose and doesn't click properly into the cockpit area leaving a gap.

2) The wings don't snap properly into the slots. The left one keeps popping out.

3) I cant seem to fit the pilot into his seat. Am I suppose to pull the seat out and than put him on?

4) The shoulder don't go all the way down in plane mode.

5) The plate on the bottom where you insert the stand attachment is bent.

6) The tail fins are very loose.

7) Nothing wants to go securely in where it should go.

The canards don't want to pose correctly. They keep moving out of place.

I did not dare check to see if the landing gears opened up or anything else. I just calmly put it back in the box and threw it in the closet. I did not expect this re-issue to be this bad in QC. Yeah my first $150.00+ piece of crap. Hurray.

Cool story, Rob. IIRC from my physics class, your story makes logical sense. Upon impact, the armor (being on the outermost along with low density) would easily absorb most of the kinetic energy, sparing the Valkyrie from most of it. The final burst of energy would be released in all the little pieces snapping off the Valkyrie. We got any physics majors around here to see if my memory is worth beans?

Clearly I didn't say post only VF-1's only. All toys made by Yamato are welcomed I guess everyone is still amped on the 1/48 line, I still haven't seen any Mac + valks yet but I still optimistic. Lets keep em (pics) comming guys.

i recently got a mac 7 1/100 scale bandai special coating vf-19 firevalkyrie..pretty much easy to build as it is snap together kit...it looks good in battroid mode ...

for me,any macross will do,..maybe a history involving max and millia from 2012-to thier current time onboard macross 7 would be nice... hope to see the vf-4 and the development of the vf-11.

on my yf-21,both the shoulder sliders have broke already....which leaves the hands dangling usellessly ...it was lucky yamato made the sliders on the vf-11 metal,else they might have brokealready...

hehe...ny most prized possesion are my cellphones/handphones,my ibook and my doyusha vf19a vfx-2 game edition..

my yf-21 and vf-11b fp were accquired at the local hobby shop about 1-2 years apart.my vf-19a(the doyusha1:144 scale) vfx-2 game colour was accquired in singapore..the fire valkyrie(special coating version.bandai 1/100 transformable)) was bought a another local hobby shop..
