Aye, and T-Rex have been responsible for some real gems the last few years. If they are brought in by Arcadia to handle a TV SDF-1, I'd have it despite any reservations on cost.

I wish I had something hopeful, or rational to add there, but I cannot disagree. if a normal 1/3000 TV version toy did show up at the same price as the Movie version, I'd think about it, but then consider what could be had for the money.

Been a weird winter, but now that it is over, the modelling begins again. However, the clock is being turned back to rescue an eFX Nautilus from the scrap pile. Not a model, but when it was donated to the collection it was in a bit of a state. I have enjoyed repainting this one, as it has been a favourite for years.

Yes indeed. They seem to have decided that the Xmas rush is the right time to redesign their accounting system, but hopefully by Wednesday this week we will be seeing invoices sent out....

By 'on the boat' I had always assumed they meant row-boat. I think we have a greater chance of a Supervision Army Gun Destroyer landing in our laps...

Did not their designer up-sticks and move back to Japan - taking with him the prospect of any Macross releases?

It is supposed to be a replica of a Fokker D.VII, I believe (in canary yellow, which figures I suppose). I hope to be able to track down a decent one in 1/32 to keep it in scale with the other warbirds I have for the project.

With the Pod done, and the Nautilus model not arriving till after Xmas, I need another project. So... here we have "The Old School Skull One" (Because there's no school like the Old School, and Roy's the ruddy Headmaster!) An FW190-D, which is going to be finished in Roy Fokker's Skull One colour scheme. I've been toying with the idea of WWI / WWII Macross for a while, and I might as well start with this one.

I'll take that bet... There's enough scuttlebutt about the VF-4 in the industry pipeline here for anyone to know that Yamato would not spring for such moulding for a limited run fighter like this. If that is so, it only follows that the FB version is in a good slot for consideration. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm nailing my colours to a late 2013/early 2014 issue. Edit: Though the missus maintains it will not appear till 2017 and the FB 30th anniversary.
