  1. Seriously, guys? Am I the only one who thinks Playmates did a better job THIRTY YEARS ago? ๐Ÿคจ Sure, the lack of "aztecking" is still egregious, but at least they'd bothered to paint the escape pods and phaser strips, back in the day... ๐Ÿ˜
  2. Nah, that's not personal preference, it's canon. The "Fokker Special" doesn't have black ears. it's just another one of those baffling KitzConcept mistakes. ๐Ÿ™„ Thanks for the great comparison pics!
  3. It's shoplifting, pure and simple. Any of us can take advantage of inconsistent distribution, lenient return policies, and ignorant and apathetic staff, and profit off our crimes on the secondary market. The only thing stopping us is our (rapidly-eroding) sense of morality. ๐Ÿค•
  4. I remember those... As starved as we were for new content, most of the Eternity stuff was a disappointment -- not as eye-searing as Comico, but poorly-illustrated nonetheless. Malcontent Uprisings were the only Robotech comics I actually enjoyed reading.
  5. Mattel's JP toys display quite well with some of your higher-end Transformers figures, actually... ๐Ÿ˜
  6. Almost. ๐Ÿค• And that's what's keeping me from pulling the trigger. These are barely a head shorter than Yamarcadia's 1:60 VF-1s, and barely a head taller than KitzConcept's 1:72 VF-1s... Just awkwardly-scaled enough to need a shelf of their own, and just awkwardly-scaled enough to be incompatible with everything except Hot Wheels cars. ๐Ÿ˜
  7. Mattel's new "Hunt 'n Chomp" Tyrannosaurus Rex: Doesn't appeal to me, though. ๐Ÿ˜…
  8. Oh man, if I hadn't decided to back this I'd be kicking myself right now. ๐Ÿ˜… Removing molding imperfections from the surfaces without damaging any of that crisp detail may prove difficult, however... ๐Ÿค”
  9. Looks like one of those Playmates dolls. Maybe they couldn't get the rights to use Nana Visitor's likeness...? ๐Ÿค” And couldn't they at least have used a metal chain for her Bajoran earpiece? ๐Ÿคจ "Museum Grade." ๐Ÿ™„
  10. Finally, you'll find some unreleased packaging art published in Transformers Vault: This book. It's quite a comprehensive tome, and indispensable for any Transformers fan.
  11. It is indeed... despite this awkwardly-prominent sticker. ๐Ÿ˜… Some joints could be a little tighter, some joints are decidedly too tight, and the headlight gimmick is a little problematic: One side doesn't fit as flush as the other... ...and yet the opposite side won't pop up completely, so neither functions perfectly. ๐Ÿคจ Still, minor nitpicks for such a handsome dude. โ˜บ๏ธ
  12. And yet, surprisingly, this sexy beast showed up on my doorstep today... ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I had to check my pre-order history. When did I order this? Last September...? Actually, it was September of 2021...! Well worth the 22-month wait, if you ask me. ๐Ÿ˜
  13. Definitely the best I've seen yet... but still pretty bad. ๐Ÿ˜’ The surface detailing is particularly egregious. ๐Ÿคจ
  14. Oh, I'd love to paint and weather that up. Great work!
  15. Ironically enough, the same is true of The Force Awakens, which (like Dial of Destiny) wasn't written or directed by George Lucas. It didn't have any real dialog or performance issues, so it was much easier for audiences to get past whatever issues they may have had with a broken, depressed Han Solo, whose marriage to Leia had fallen apart after the loss of their son. Now that Dial of Destiny presents a broken, depressed Indiana Jones, whose marriage to Marion had fallen apart after the loss of their son, audiences are probably getting tired of seeing Harrison Ford grapple with the same story issues. ๐Ÿ™„
  16. Wow. After years of Kimetsu no Yaiba merchandise flooding Japan, at a wide variety of scales, styles, and price points, these McFarlane figures are easily the worst I've seen. The poses, the proportions, and the articulation is shockingly poor. Heck, their AKIRA line produced better anime figures two decades ago. ๐Ÿคจ
  17. Bandai teases a lot of prototypes that never go into production, but they never solicit for pre-orders until they can reliably estimate when a product will ship. I mean, I'm highly critical of Bandai myself, but I've never paid up front for an SHF or HMR pre-order that wasn't fulfilled within six months. It will have taken at least THIRTY-SEVEN months before KitzConcept delivers the Dana I paid for back in July of 2020, when pre-orders were first solicited (which, incidentally, was already several months into the pandemic). And even before COVID, they were averaging ten months between each 1:12 action figure release. I can only assume their 1:72 Valkyries sell better, so those releases are given priority....?
  18. That had been my idea as well... but I figured I'd have to mold them in clear resin myself. ๐Ÿค” Yeah, absolutely. They announced their 1:12 Max back in 2020, and they hope to have him available later this year... If they're planning a Miriya figure as well, perhaps we'll be able to buy her in... 2027? ๐Ÿ™„
