  1. ... and hopefully Hasegawa will get the rights to work on the whole Macross Frontier VF line and we get a VF-171, VF-27 & YF-29 as well. Just thinking... or dreaming... I'm really eager to see new stuff from Hasegawa.
  2. Great work, Berttt !!!. Everytime I see marvelous dioramas like this one I get more addicted to scale modelling !!.
  3. Agreed !!. I'm trying to bring my wife to the beauty of the Macross fandom and she's becoming more knowledgeable every day (her words: "Why do you have to buy the one with the radar dome ?. You've got three different Thunderbolts already. You should wait until the one the girl look-a-like boy flies in Frontier comes out; that one is really beautiful"). I might have the wonderful surprise of having the Hasegawa VF-25 as a gift some day.... ...... or maybe I'm just dreaming. . Now, seriously, I like this addition to the Thunderbolt collection, althought I was expecting to have the one with the aerospace super pack first.
  4. Ohh lord... another one to spend the money on. I'll start negociating with my wife from today on. Negotiation completed. Allowed to buy it. Pre-ordered at HLJ
  5. That idea sounds great, Jefuemon !!!. I was thinking a while ago to go with something related to the splinter camo patterns modern Russian fighters are displaying nowadays for another Hasegawa 1/72 YF-19, specifically the pattern used by the Su-35S that performed on MAKS 2011, but on different colors. You might want to try that approach. I've always seen the 19 as a purebred of unsurpassed dogfighting capabilities, only flyable by the elite. That's why I always trend to draw it on my mind dressed in out-of-the-box camo patterns, totally away from the mandatory livery of any air force, and even showing off some highly visible colors or a great tail art on the rudders, like a CAG's fighter. Just my thoughts.
  6. Just another masterpiece !!. Thanks a lot for the hint on dealing with the lightning decal area and masking. I bought the 1/72 version (with HM missiles) and I was figuring out how to do the painting on that area. That is a beautiful build !!.
  7. Thank you very much, fellows !!!. I really appreciate your will to share your invaluable knowledge with us, the beginners. I've been cranking the engines to start the aircraft modelling for several weeks and I was kind of stuck on the part of buying the right tools. Thank you all !!!.
  8. Can't wait until its release. I'll have to put this one on the top of my Hasegawa models wish list.
  9. Great pictures, Ron5864 !!!. Keep 'em coming !!.
  10. Hi Grayson72. Actually, no idea of the acronym, but that pod is a propelled mass driver pod, as far as I know.
  11. Grayson72, that was the greatest idea of a gift I've ever read about. Great work !!
  12. ... and this YF-19/VF-19 weapons pack should go to serial production. Take note, Hasegawa ! http://yaplog.jp/sitinana/image/34/88
  13. Wowww!!!. I thought I'd never see the VF-9 modelled besides the one from Macross the Ride. Great work !!!
  14. 1st Place.- YF-19/VF-19A: Forward swept wings and the outward canted canards take this sleek design totally out of the box. I'll always see it as the purest and most genuine dogfighting machine ever, only dominated by the best of the best. So great that even Kawamori himself feared it could steal the crowds in Macross Frontier. The ultimate true hero fighter. Currently thinking on building one Hasegawa 1/72 with the Aerospace Super Packs from the VF-19F/S and a GU-17 gun pod adapted. 2nd Place.- YF-21/VF-22S: So well thought and so weird that it would be totally unacceptable to have it as a mass-production fighter. Definitely designed for SpecOps. Just another genuine example of a hero fighter. 3rd Place.- VF-1S Strike Pack: Hands down on this legend. No need to explain. The rest of the places, mostly by look and sexiness: 4th.- VF-11B/VF-11C/VF-11MAXL Thunderbolt 5th.- VF-19ACTIVE Nothung 6th.- VF-9 Cutlass 7th.- YF-30 Chronos 8th.- YF-29 Durandal 9th.- VF-27 Lucifer 10th.- VF-25 Messiah (all the variants with all the packs available. RVF-25 included) 11th.- VF-1 Valkyrie (The rest of the variants with all the packs available. VE-1 ELINT and VT-1 Super-O included) 12th.- VF-4 Lightning III 13th.- VF-0 Phoenix (All the variants with all the packs available) 14th.- VF-171/VF-171EX Nightmare Plus (All the variants with all the packs available) 15th.- VF-14/VA-14 Vampire/Hunter 16th.- VF-17 Nightmare (All the variants with all the packs available) 17th.- VF-5000 Star Mirage (All the variants with all the packs available)
  15. Wow!, that VF-19A looks great with the super pack and dual fold boosters ! --> http://yaplog.jp/sitinana/archive/33
  16. I can help you out with the CFTs (Conformal Fuel Tanks), which are basically the FAST Packs for the F-16. Those are meant to carry additional fuel (obviously) to extend the ferry range and loitering time of the aircraft. Pros are that they don't compromise the aerodynamic performance they way the EFTs (External Fuel Tanks) do; Cons are that they cannot be jettisoned. For more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_And_Sensor_Tactical_%28FAST%29_Packs
  17. And that is a great desert camo pattern. !!
  18. Viper is an unofficial nickname for the F-16. Pilots and ground crews affectionately call them that way.
  19. That's a beautiful livery for a VF-1 !!!. Awesome masking job !!!. 10 out of 10 stars !!!!
  20. That is a nice build, Jefuemon !. I acquired this kit before New Year's Eve and I'll be getting some ideas from your VE-1 and wm_cheng's one.
  21. Noyhauser, those are three beautiful vipers !. Great work !!
