  1. Anyone else have a significant other getting really, really, really into that new TCG Lorcana? Holy crap, I haven't done a TCG proper since the original 151 Pokemon, never did YuGiOh or Magic, the hunt for these things is insane. The main street date release is apparently September 1st, but a number of shops got stock early to try and build the community, so frakking much for that. $7 booster packs for $15, starter decks for $30+, luminous troves for $60+, boxes of boosters packs for hundreds, it's some nasty, scalpy business. We managed to go to a shop in Boulder City that sold boosters for retail if you buy at least four, that was nice I guess.... Grabbed one gift set as well above retail, and we got one starter pack for just above retail, which wasn't terrible I suppose. Chain retailers should be getting stock soon, sucks right now, just awful, something fun for families and newbies to TCGs are hyped for this game, shitty resellers and scalpers will ruin it. I went to two of my usual places that sell magic and they're at double, triple retail in some cases, supply and demand, I get it, but gross, it's printed cardboard.
  2. Which is crazy because I think the Robert Pattison just below that looks kind of good, both head sculpts are fairly solid on that release. Maybe the couldn't get the okay on Evan's likeness so they went with a mostly "generic" Cap unmasked head.
  3. Yeah that Cap looks much better, definitely grabbing one now.
  4. I really like the cast. I've never seen or read One Piece so I feel even if audience reactions aren't strong I should be able to enjoy this anyway, no real connection going in.
  5. My roommate is blasting through AC:6 and it looks fantastic, I'll definitely grab it whenever I'm good on my first run of Starfield, which could be a while. I fired it up and installed last night, played about 5.5 hours, straight, it's quite amazing.
  6. I really enjoyed the first two episodes but they were definitely slow, catch-up episodes for some, straight up introductions for many others. As someone that thinks Rebels was up there with Empire as some of the best Star Wars ever period, I love it, for others that didn't watch, it seems it's a Star Wars show about the orange jedi lady from Mando and a bunch of "new" Star Wars characters. I'm a little surprised there's so much emphasis on Rebels and Clone Wars knowledge, as others have said, lots of fans didn't watch those and I don't really think it's a great idea to have the overall main story a continuation of a story a lot of people aren't familiar with, hell most casual fans are still wondering who or what the hell Thrawn is.
  7. My Starfield for Series X arrives early today, I'm pretty hyped, Bethesda+space really does it for me. I'm a little worried the day 1 patch won't be out until closer to the 1st, but the early leaked footage looked surprisingly stable and bug free, either way I'm excited to dive in tonight for as long as I can stay up, sleep is an optional objective...
  8. I really like the First Avenger costume so if this were those colors I would probably bite, as-is, like you said, it's a bit too bright. I also really wanted Bandai to put out that Figuarts Star Spangled Man Cap, but that was just another prototype that will never see the light of day.
  9. Interesting, it's stated as a "First Avenger" Cap, but it's not even that suit, it's the slightly updated "Museum" suit from Winter Soldier.
  10. I've got the original release and I'm fine with it, slightly more accurate hair doesn't warrant a new figure for me, easy pass, nice for those that missed the first release though.
  11. Skull Island was in the Mosnterverse so yes. I also read a part of the story takes place in the past, Kurt Russell plays his character in the "modern" timeline and his son Wyatt Russell plays the character in the "past" timeline. I'm excited, I've loved the Legendary Monsterverse movies, KotM and GvK were both great! I don't have AppleTV though, I'll definitely have to steal a sign-in from a friend whenever this drops.
  12. Looks fantastic! Original actors voicing their characters? Music by the people that made the game? Written by the original writer? How did the stars align to make it this perfect?
  13. That's just an oddity of color in that particular part of the intro, he's got light "shining" behind him.
  14. Another day another bump about a new release, but it's not the Kaki TV 1A, sigh, one day....
  15. frakking gorgeous, I'm hyped!
  16. Jesus I just saw this, two price hikes in one year? I get they need to recoup costs wherever possible but this aint it, I think I'm out after Ahsoka.
  17. That Concorde looks legit! I'm in for one!
  18. I've got the original release so a pass for me but it's nice that those that missed out get another shot at this version, maybe they'll re-release the yellow tracksuit version down the line too?
  19. Yeah the Atom Eve special was a nice little appetizer, but I'm ready for season 2 already!
  20. Looks pretty neat, and while I absolutely love MMPR and have tons of merch, I really haven't felt I need any rangers beyond my Figuarts I was lucking to get back in the day from BBTS when the US releases were happening. The One:12 look good for those interested though, there's also a company making snap together, poseable figure kits that looked really good too, ThreeZero has the 1/6 figures, it's a good time to need MMPR core 6 right now, lots of great options.
  21. Yeah I didn't hate it as much as expected, but damn it looks awful. I've been watching the 4K screen grab videos on Youtube, and while Youtube compression is awful there's no denying the CGI is just frakking terrible. Like, tie-in movie video game awful at times. So many scenes look so bad, there's a CG Henry Cavill and Affleck at one point when some major conflict bits are happening and wow, people laughed at Cavill's CG lips and moustache-less face, wonder what they thought of some of the scenes in this movie, yikes.
  22. Both CADA Toys AE86 and RX-7 came out great! Highly recommended for any Initial D fan!
  23. Both CADA Toys AE86 and RX-7 were fun builds, not as clean or inventive as a modern LEGO Icons/Creator car, but really nice nonetheless!
  24. Somehow, some way, this show had a 200 million dollar budget, go figure. Finished Secret Invasion and it was pretty awful overall, easily my least favorite D+ MCU series, far worse then expected. What a waste of money and talent, it was poorly written, it looked really bad, it was painfully dumb and borderline idiotic in it's story beats. Shockingly bad considering this was Jackson's big come back as Fury, what a waste, he came back with a whimper. Maria Hill died for this garbage? And in such a completely underwhelming and forgettable way? Just terrible. I am absolutely positive every revelation and major event from this turd will be forgotten just like Eternals, Disney should be embarrassed, I saw the director is already trying to do damage control on social media. Apparently he won't read the universally awful reviews, what a bold strategy, let's see if it works out for him. Looking behind the scenes I'm a bit baffled, the director was a nobody with little experience, same with the script and screenwriters, why hire such mediocre talent for a show like this? How was so much money spent when it looked so awful? The reshoots and behind the scenes drama must've been intense, this whole thing was just shockingly bad in every way, I've been a shill for most of the D+ shows, I've enjoyed them all, even She Hulk, but this was blatantly awful and a complete disappointment.
