Thanks for the update. If they really did take too many orders I wish they would be a little quicker about canceling the extras so we're not left wondering.

For those that have had HLJ cancel an order before how long did it take for them to cancel it? I'm just wondering how long I have to wait before I can feel confident that my order will be fulfilled.

This was crazy. I went to bed just minutes before it went up on Amazon JP. Still kicking myself about that. I was able to secure an order at HLJ, but I am worried I may get the dreaded "Server Error" email and the order canceled. I was hoping to get an order in with Amazon just to be sure.

I'm surprised this has still not gone up on Amazon yet. All the listings on there now are from third party sellers and they are all 34K or higher

Double check the confirmation email, one of those numbers may be your customer ID and the other is probably the order ID.

I did too, but I am not letting myself get too happy about it. Apparently, HLJ's new ordering system allows orders to go through that shouldn't and they have been cancelling orders recently. It hasn't happened to me yet personally, but given how tonight went I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst

Not for PO items. At least, not that I've been able to find. I want to say the old site did show estimated shipping costs, but it's been awhile so I could be misremembering

I got the same. No shipping address and blank Order Id, but then I got another email just now that had all the correct info. The first email was titled "Order Acknowledgement" whereas the second email with the correct info was titled "Order Confirmation"

I just hope any future releases aren't this tough to PO. I don't remember having to stay up at 2AM hitting F5 to order any of the Yamato 1/48s. Of course, that was a long time ago. I would have things would be easier to order now days rather than the opposite. Is that just how things are these days?

This was my first time doing one of these late night/early morning PO things. I've been out of Macross collecting for a long time. I had a decent collection of Yamato 1/48s back in the day, but ended up selling them all. I always regretted that so this new 1/48 from Bandai has me so excited. Luckily I was able to resist the urge to buy more than 1, but I'm pretty sure I will buy any 1/48 VF-1 they put out. Part of me hopes they stick to just the core valks, but then the insane part of me hopes they release everything.

But real-world skull leaders don't have heatshields or fast packs, do they? Just kidding. I know some people just prefer the black and that's cool.

Personally, I like red/black more than yellow/black so I prefer Hikaru's 1S. That said, Roy's is more iconic I think So are you saying Hikaru isn't a real skull leader then? The heat shield and emblem on his fast packs is most definitely red when he is skull leader

Peter got that power from DL, and DL was shown carrying Nikki through a wall with him on at least one occasion

Yeah, Nikki is a useless character IMO. I'm sure somebody out there totally digs her character, but other than being very attractive, she just isn't very interesting. While Maya's power could have some uses, her brothers power seems completely useless (at least based on what we've seen thus far). His power exists only to cancel our his sister...lame.

While I can understand why many comic readers like to take jabs at Heroes for lifting many ideas and storylines from existing comics, I think you need to remember that the vast majority of this show's audience (myself included) have probably not read a comic book in many years, if ever. As such, they have no idea that these stories are extremely similar (almost identical in some cases it would seem) to various comic books. That being said, even if everyone was aware, I don't think that most would care. I know I don't. The show is just plain fun. Also, I give them a bit of leniency in the creativity department, as I can only imagine how difficult it most be to try and come up with something that hasn't already been done. Honestly, aren't there tons of comic book heroes that are only slight variations of other heroes? Storylines mostly repeat in comics as well don't they? Sure there might be a tiny detail here or there that are different, but don't they all sort of seem to borrow and steal from each other? It's been a LONG time since I read comics, but even back then that was the case. In summary, while I understand people's desire to point out various points of originality, I still enjoy the show

The distribution just really doesn't seem to make any sense. On various GI Joe forums, some people are claiming that their stores are stocked several pegs deep, while others claim that they never got entire waves. So far, I've been able to find every figure at retail except for wave 1 Flint, variant Snake Eyes, and the SDCC Destro. I stopped by a Wal-Mart on my way to work this past Friday and they had just restocked all of wave 2, probably 3-4 of every figure except the troopers (somebody ALWAYS beats me to the troopers ). Looks like Hasbro is still shipping wave 2 for those that missed out initially, so that's good news.

Love that Firefly pose. He's definitely my favorite figure from wave 3. Of course, the original Firefly was my favorite figure when I was a kid, so I'm biased by nostalgia. Luckily, I found a yellow Stalker at Target weeks ago, they're going for crazy prices on eBay right now
