  1. I used to put some modeling tape under the clips so they won't hurt the tender plastic, when I had mine
  2. I'm an old timer over there, but never had participate too much, surely because those special Enemy Engaged custom weren't really appreciated by many, and also because I had quit the custom making for some years after that, even if the "production" timeline doesn't make that appear clearly ^^ I guess I'm back, in a certain way... That's why I made my 10 yrs mini album on my FB page, to show that it will continue for sure !
  3. He liked it, for sure, he saw the SIS (the Delta winged VF-) under WIP condition, and was totally upset with the transformation made to the airframe, said it was brilliant, I can say it made my day a second time
  4. It was a really cool moment, for sure. He liked the few ones I shown him, maybe the fact that the armored 31 were born at this moment ? Only one knows that, it's him lol I met him as I made the official display for his venue (along with Aramaki Sensei too) in an event 4 years ago, with some of my dioramas and items from my collection (and some friend's too)
  5. For the ones who want to know the story behind : http://www.enemyengaged.space/
  6. Not totally, and missiles are gone soooo quiclky in the battle !
  7. In case you wonder how cool is my VF-1Z custom, just take this : yes, it's K Sensei with it in his hand
  8. @sqidd Thanks for having shared some of my works, I haven't put a foot over there since a while ! You should tell me when you're sharing, I kindly appreciate seeing some people liking my stuff Thanks buddy ! I have a really old account here, as you can see But I'm not so much into forums as I used to be 10 years ago ^^ If some of you guys are willing to see full albums, you can go on my website or my facebook page, there are plenty of details to see There is also a webcomic going on with my dedicated Enemy Engaged customs. If I'm allowed to share the links, just ask me
  9. As some of you are aware of it via my Facebook page (it does not make a lot of people, but it's always that), I was approached by the organizers of this festival to realize the showcases for the guests this year. And what guests. We only speak of Shinji Aramaki and Shoji Kawamori ... In short, real stars here, inevitably ! I don't post you all the images or others, for the showcases (as it is almost a part of what I have in my collection, including some custom works), and I come directly at the most important: the guests. Great gentlemen. From the kindness and making them available at anytime, I even had the chance to have breakfast at a table located between theirs. Obviously I did not make my fanboy at that time, privacy is important too. But still remember it ! To make it quickly, arrival of the Masters, first signing session on Friday, few people, either for one or the other, we took advantage with the friends of Anigetter booth ... who held a stand on which I was able to squatter with my diorama DYRL crashed, thank you again pals ! Even had the opportunity to get my crashed diorama signed, on which Sensei noticed the details and took photos with his own smartphone ... how to be more proud ? I also showcased the goodies brought by M KAWAMORI himself (the VF-31 DX, the VF-1S Arcadia, and the Frontier and Delta figures) ! Signing sessions at the top, interesting conferences on animation, Saturday 2D vs 3D animation conference with the two masters together, highly interesting, then the top of the conference with the two again gathered to talk Mecha Design ... Memories evoked about their career, to become what they are today (uncontested references), anecdotes delivered the most naturally in the world, and finally a moment of sharing almost intimate when M ARAMAKI thanked M KAWAMORI, because if The VF-1 had not gone out with Macross, himself would not have had his first real job to shove off to create Mospeada and the Legioss ... and become what he is now. To resume, there were ENORMOUS moments (and there were more others and we laughed), to finish on the Sunday and a second session of signings, again without large influx, which allowed us to still enjoy the Masters ... And to make sign my diorama Fan racer First Contact that I took off the display (the advantage of having the keys all the time on me) for the occasion ... And the last conference, in which were revealed several secrets and explanations on the Macross series, and even presentation of his new project "The Next" ... We could not have dreamed better, we were in heaven, but this effect did not stop there for me. At the end of the exhibition, Mr KAWAMORI personally came to thank me for the showcases, greeted my collection, took a quick but interested and surprised look at two unusual customs (Z and SiS MkII) Wich were out the boxes while I was repacking my other exposed VF ... and offered to take a picture with me, I asked for the Z ... Result, a photograph of me with the Macross Master and the VF-1Z still unfinished in his hands ... and heart at 10000bpm! I will never thank enough our two sensei for their kindness, their availability for photos, signatures, at this event ... and I really hope to be there again on their next pass, if not in France, but maybe Also in Europe? 10. thanks for sharing my humble work on those alaskas the most easy to do custom based on the pics from the show, I hadn't noticed the green knees ?
  11. Hi Rv, great job ! We don't see you often on the Robotech Collection or Macross France Fan Club forums, don't hesitate to come again and post your work
  12. Before Hasegawa edited their PE parts, I already got Jasmine one. All I say is Hasegawa sucks ! I've got PE parts from Jasmine Models for my VF-25's, my VF-1J 1/48, and YF-19 1/72 & 1/48 : terrific results. The hasegawa PE for 1/72 VF-1 are so poor, I would like JM to make their own to get real grade VF-1 in 1/72 scale... I'll wait, as I suggested them to work on it and they said it was in project...
  13. Thanks I won't be at the Macrossworld convention, I'm French and I will not make the travel to come - I would like to go to Oskosh first, for example To see it in person, maybe that could be possible at Japan Expo 2011, we planned to make a exhibition with the french forum.
  14. Thanks for replies guyz ! However, you still don't have the eyes right turned ! There's a BIG detail that you should have noticed on this mecha custom HOW CAN I PUT A GIANT ZENTRADI IN THE COCKPIT WITH ALL THIS BARNING STUFF IN THE ASS OF THE QUEADLUUN ? Just think of it... The pilot of this unit is HUMAN, brainwashed to Zentradi cause ! Of course, you hadn't noticed it... pfffffffffff Nonsense guyz ! Just see by now :
  15. Hi Guyz To match the overwhelming power of my VF-1Z (curently in Upgrading session for most heavier armament and higher mobility, Zentradi Forces asked one elite fighter to upgrade one Queadluun Rau From the basic machine and using micronian armaments to equal best firepower of the "Z", Nemesis was born Armament can clear any starship from the spaceland... 240mm Gauss canon and Concussion-Grenade Launcher on right arm, double 90mm HVBFG Gatling gun on left arm, 480mm Big Tom Gun on the back, mounted on rotule system, 4 grenade launchers on right chest, additional LRMs on ankles, extended LRMs capacity on shoulders/back, Additional Jetboosts for position moves and shot avoiding maneuvers, Fold Booster integrated for surprise attacking and High Speed Deployment, Additional armor on shoulders, Upgraded servos for higher mobility and posability Isn't it the perfect space warrior ? Let see in details, guyz ! Just see the size between the Tomahawk MkXII Custom I built (it has not his armament for the moment, which is huge too) So, what's next ?
  16. thanks ! painting is handbrush and only handbrush I had traces that I need to remake the battle armor with airbrush, but I got time to do it in a while. If I wanted to let the macross symbol on the wing, I would have not erased it on the basis valk
  17. The autobot symbols all over the plane (4 total, 1 head 1 nose 2 battle armor on each side of super parts) are stickers from Hobby Design I used them too on a custom Carmageddon color Animated Lockdown Transformers. Pretty smal but usefull. Starscream G1 color is on project list (won't tell you the basis vf)... till I still don't know whether I do it or not for the moment.
  18. Thanks Bad paint result till i will remake it in a few time. However, the base is a 1/60 v2 VF-1J Hikaru, and super & strike parts for vf1. I put the head of a VF1S unpainted version because I am melting some vf1s for several custom projects, some have issued yet (upgrade on my VF-1Z (armament, boosters), Tomahawk MkXII, VF1J COIN, second of the pair of VF1A TV Alaska base, VF1S TV Roy color, etc) I have 3 unpainted vf1s, they are assigned to 3 other custom, but one will be a bvf1A so i picked up the head I'm working now on the paintjob for my COIN and the Nemesis I built from Queadluun Rau, with light and heavy armament but better agility I'm also working on a heavy modification of 1/48 VF-1J Super to become another valk... maybe you'll see later, as i will make it at 1/60 too
  19. Hi guyz Made a time I hadn't posted my creations on this site... many of them, maybe I post later, for the moment, let's roll with another vf1 v2 custom, in Autobot Jetfire's colours (G1) let's see by yourselves : So, What else ?
  20. Hi I think you're talking about 1/72 VF1 However, Hasegawa always give decalz for those parts, but I feel it's way better to paint it. I'm refreshing a Hasegawa YF19 for a friend, I've painted all that is given in decals and is paint decoration, the result is better than if it would be decal I've not finished yet, but you can see the beginning here : http://www.robotechcollections.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?t=540
  21. The painting scheme of your Tiger is beautiful ! Very good airbrush work I've just noticed you had your bird on the SDF1, mine is at Edwards, home of 418th... The first time I take the time to look at a custom VF1D 1/48... I feel it's a good transformation, even my priority would have been to modify the canopy, however, great piece in your collection I guess ! I would have tried to do custom VF0 B, C and D from 1/60 Yamato, but the price has been increasing last monthes, and I don't want to spend much money on planes I will cut and drill
  22. Thought you were motivated by somethin else... It's very pleasant to see there is no "t" missing in the explanation of "SIS" like on RC Good luck Ol'friend
  23. Wow, got it on 48 ? cool I wanted an Edwards test plane, and the others squadron didn't inspire me... I love the tiger meet planes, so I decided to make a plane from the 418th as it was on Edwards and permit to make a great handbrushing work, I also wanted to make another custom of VF-1D after my virgin road, too classic for macross I wanted another unique VF after my VF-1Z, so I got the T one by now... following, the Nemesis would be, I think, another masterpiece in my custom Macross line
  24. Yes it's me Best thing I know for the moment is the handbrush, and it can't be fully replaced by airbrush, so, just have to be good in handbrush first I loved doing the stripes on the VF-1T, was a cool moment... Probably make another Tiger in a few moment, otherwise I have 2 sv 51 to do, but with airbrush needed (no other possibility) on at least one of the two
  25. Thanks ! The semi gloss varnish has to be matted a little, but the green is darker, the picture has been taken with flash... and not even so far it should be All my customs are handbrush made, I have an airbrush, but I'm not operational on it yet
