    Trailer does not exactly grab me, the Wushu takes me right out of Star Wars. Looks more like Kenobi than Andor. The story miiiiight still be good.

    @Big s I felt pretty much the same about Damsel. Millie Bobby Brown carries the movie, and it has the entertaining value of a good comic book. The dragon design (and voice!) was pretty cool, but what struck me most were some images of the scenery, which were apparently shot in Portugal, including the castle exterior. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13452446/locations/?ref_=tt_dt_loc Especially Serra da Estrela looks like a cool hiking spot.

    The trailer basically shows all you need to see of this movie. Also, Skarsgard is the champion of the anorexic muscle chic now, he managed to chisel even more abs than his Tarzan brother. Is that a Lotus Esprit at 1:50?

    I finally got the head of the Thunderjaw completed. This is the most complex paint scheme I built in a while.

    So I'm two episodes into True Detective: Night Country, and – does it get better? It should have been an easy receipe of The Thing x Thunderheart, but somehow doesn't achieve the slightest suspense so far. I'm all for a slow buildup, but everything feels so staged, and I lost count how many "Chief, you gotta see this..." transitions we had already. The setup and actors are there, but IMO it deserved a better director.

    @Thom is that the Meng kit? Looks like a good start. _ Today's heroic effort was a detail upgrade on the front of the head.

    @Chas That's a nice set of asteroids you got there! For a change from scale modeling, I'm tinkering on the Moderoid Thunderjaw. The kit is great, but once you take a deep dive into the reference material, you can't find an end with the details. Paiting this behemoth will be quite an undertaking.

    I might skip the Orange Cat this time, the design mods don't convince me, the proportions look off, and the feet are problematic as well. Moderoid looks good for friends of the classic design.

    Amazing effect, but it looks like a lot of tedious processing. I would never finish a kit going that route. Speaking of, I completed the Intruder cockpit today.
