  1. One Reactive Armor Ingram to rule them all:
  2. Dark had great world building and character arcs, but the concept got very bloated in the later episodes. There are some graphics avaible if you really want to untie the knot of the timelines. It still comes to a satisfying solution IMO, unlike the recent time loop based "Bodies" on Netflix.
  3. Used the rare ray of sunlight to work on Sol Tekkaman. Once the paint is on the parts, construction proceeds swiftly. The custom mixed blue wouldn't go down smoothly so some parts had to be polished with compound. I wanted a glossy motorbike finish.
  4. ZOMG please stop pointing out all those little inaccuracies 😄 The only thing that sticks out IMO is the canopy frame, and that can be fixed.
  5. I agree that historical accuracy isn't a thing that makes or breaks a movie for me, though as a director, I would avoid some hair-rising ideas (like shooting the Pyramids), if I weren't entirely in the fantasy realm like Guy Ritchie's King Arthur. The Woman King to me was another example of a film with a great trailer that fell completely flat as a movie experience, excluding the history debate.
  6. Enojy this virtual tour of a comprehensive Giger expo in the Czech Republic https://matterport.com/discover/space/tKiynkEmTgj
  7. Some critics I read imply it's a similar experience to "House of Gucci", where you have a great cast, promising trailer, but the actual movie leaves you stone cold as you're unable to connect to the characters while the drama unfolds.
  8. Finally Ed Skrein can take revenge on Michiel Huisman for getting the juicy part of the Daenerys x Daario arc 😁
  9. Perfect finish again. The design is cool, I still wish we would get a proper Sentinel/Katoki FA plastic kit one day.
  10. "Take your Daughter to Work Days" explains a lot of the latest movies... But then again that would be pretty unfair to daughters.
  11. I started the hobby with hand brushing Humbrol enamels and it was fine, but they must have changed the formula at some point (I should probably thank them from a health perspective) and now are as gooey as the Revell paints. Once I switched to airbrush, I stuck with Tamiya acrylics. I can mix almost any shade I desire, the smell doesn't kill me, and yes, the surface is sensitive compared to laquer, but once you got all the antennas and ordnance on a kit, you have to hadle it like a live grenade anyway. For high-gloss surfaces, polyurethane seems all the rage, but I haven't tested it.
  12. @derex3592 I just happened to stumble upon the works of aero photographer Sławek Krajniewski, he has an awesome B-1 gallery that might provide some inspiration. His other gallerys are not too shabby, too, btw. https://www.hesja.pl/galeria,825,b-1b-lancer-w-polsce.html
  13. My experience with Bondo & co auto fillers is that they get hard as a rock and are a pain to blend to the plastic. Mori Mori & Tamiya had the best consistency, and you could still polish them super smooth. The true test is when you have to re-engrave all the panel lines you recklessly puttied over. The softer puttys will crumble at the edges. Also, polyester putty has a limited shelf life; at one point hardening takes forever or doesn't happen at all. @Urashiman 3D printing surely is tedious business...😳
  14. Ah, a guilty pleasure movie of mine. Also features this guy Willem here: The real gem of the movie is hidden in the end credits, the track "Deeper And Deeper" by my then favourite 80s-SF-Rock bands The Fixx
  15. For the thin gaps I use Vallejo Plastic Putty, which is water based, so excess material can be removed immediately. But it's onyl useful for those cases, since you can't sand it. The larger areas are white Tamiya putty. Is Tamiya polyester putty universally banned? I ran out of my last batch, and it's unavailable everywhere.
  16. @Urashiman The level of detail is amazing! _ I think I'm in the final round of putty & sanding work on the fuselage. And it's starting to look like an Invader
