  1. Almost there. Mechtech, thanks for the info on the equipment. Petar, after some unpleasant results with flat cotes, I don't seal the weathering at all. Once dry, the paint is quite resistant to touching. This might not work so well with larger areas treated with chalk.
  2. Looks like a very generic superhero comic minion design. IMO the robotic cops from the Total Recall remake looked more believable from a product design perspective.
  3. Water color, or artists gouache, to be specific. It's odorless and can be corrected easily. Usually, I use a darker tone of the base color, but here I went for black and smudge the excess with my finger for a dirtier look.
  4. Thanks, derex - looking at the real things, it's too perfect actually. Desert makes them age fast. But the Greek ones are the worst. Do they park them in earth holes filled with salt water? Worked on the panel lines today, completed the under side and part of the left.
  5. Here's the full resolution character from the Kotaku page: I like the new Makoto, but I always liked the movie design better than the manga version.
  6. More Desert Falcon work: I'm building the Emirates' version straight from the box (Hasegawa). Is there a place where I can find a description of all the humps and intakes they put on this thing?
  7. I still wonder what he was thinking when he drew that left hand of the Battroid...
  8. Speaking of sexiness - the guys at Lockheed did their best to beat it out of this bird: F-16E Desert Warthog Falcon
  9. The stand is made from a material that is called "Dibond" here; it's 3 mm black PVC sandwiched between 0,5 mm aluminum sheets - looks very sleek. I got a handful of pieces from a company that makes custom shop displays, it's also used to mount large photos, so you may find it at related businesses. The kit is mounted on a strong 1 mm steel wire, I simply drilled a hole in the fuselage at the center of gravity.
  10. Still no release date on the Moebius Pegasus, but I found this comparison shot with the Galactica:
  11. Kotobukiya Ray is not even announced. But seeing the success of their Rex kit, I'm sure it will show up in a couple of moths.
  12. Thank you, ivorysniper. Here are more pics, but I really need to set up a proper shooting.
  13. Mine's still in the mail. I also wonder how big the finished kit will be.
  14. He was actually quite good at being bad in "Conspiracy Theory".
  15. Are you Trekheads aware of the new kit of the Abramsprise that Revell will release this year? http://www.plastik-modellbau.org/blo...ten-2013/2013/
  16. This is too good to get crushed in a copyright lawsuit.
  17. Sweet electric dreams for 2013!
  18. These left the workbench in 2012: Kotobukiya Vic Viper, Bandai Gadessa, Moebius Galactica and Hasegawa VF-11.
