  1. In the waiting room for 36 years..? Yeah, that sounds right.
  2. Hope this breaks that trend, as it looks like a good, funny movie,
  3. Eh, a review is only one person's opinion. I've liked loads of movies that reviewers haven't.
  4. HAHA! @MechTech does raise the bar into the stratosphere!
  5. Love those trailers! They are promising a lot, such as nice touches of nostalgia, good comradery and a real cool looking villain. Just three more months!
  6. @Chas That is a clean looking paint job! Nice. @Mr Jones Cool seeing a Macross on the Bench!
  7. @nightmareB4macross Really liking that hinge/piston set up.
  8. Age of Ulton was on the other night and it was to the point where the city started to drop, and there's the helicarrier in the background, and the thought suddenly popped into my, 'well, there's the Ark.' Because if they had failed, the safest place to be would be in the air above it all, with several thousand survivors and a tech base to restart civilization with.
  9. IMO, it looked pretty good. It probably didn't need to be a remake though. Looks like it has some good action, good story, and humor.
  10. @505thAirborne Those decals dress it right up.
  11. I agree, they weren't all good, but if given the choice of rewatching the original series or the 2003 version, I'll choose TOS.
  12. HAHA!!😄 I'll always say give me the updated FX and ships with the TOS heart. Oh, and lasers and aliens!
  13. One thing I never liked about the 2003 version was the 'hiding among us' stuff. I'm too TOS-school. Give the insectoid aliens and the chrome Centurions. Maybe do an infiltration model or a brain-washed or specially-bread humans for some espionage stuff, but no more with the cyborg versions or the 'they can be just like us' stuff. Saying that, of course, brings to mind the planned TOS season 2, and I don't mean the 1980 garbage. That too had Cylons turning into humans, so I probably would not have liked that either. Also don't mind the gender swaps. Heck, I have a nascent BSG fanfic with Apollo being played by Lucy Lawless!
  14. Well, it is stated several times as a reboot, and I'm of two minds on that. My favorite version is the original, as I feel it had far more heart and hope than Moor's ship full of a-holes. It was also a far simpler story, rather than the confusing mess that didn't know where it was going half way through. If there was a continuation, I would it continued with the original series (!!!NO BSG1980!!!). If it, as most likely will be, a reboot of the Moore series, then I hope they reach back for what made the original so good, with characters I actually wanted to root for.
  15. Came across this on Pinterest. Looks like a neat mod to the old Bandai VF-1.
  16. It's usually the case where we end up being our own worse critics.
  17. He looks phenomenal @pengbuzz! Truly an awesome job, from Murphy himself all the way to the newspapers and posters. And now, it looks like I have to build a Star Trek model...😄
  18. @nightmareB4macross easily joining in with all the amazing customs!
  19. I had to get a less than 'legal' DVD... But you didn't hear that from me.
  20. Not 'left alone' but treated better. I enjoyed both recent movies as pop-corn flicks. All they needed was better stories, or just better translations of those stories to the screen.
  21. I liked the series a lot and would certainly like to see a season 2, but by its very nature it is a CGI heavy show. They could work around not having such a high cost per episode... just have less She-Hulk... Which I would be alright with, as Maslany did great in either half of the persona. Perhaps they should have taken an idea from the original series and had a second, muscular actress in practical make-up and just used CGI to clean up around the edges.
