The usage of ATRAC audio for the PSP Macross game (if I remember correctly, they're not in 44khz) might yield better rates for BGM's going less than 1mb. But still, if the developers do include the songs with vocals - i don't think they'll put in the full song.

Let em fill the 2gb space with 'actual' songs, not just BGMs.
