regult
Oh? The armor can't be removed? I was thinking of buying an armored Alto, and the super parts, and then I figured I'd have the ability to display it as vanilla, super, and armored. Guess I need a new plan. You may be pushing the envelope a bit. It's only a plastic model after all, the transformation is already a headache for traditional model builders, so swapping parts for Super and Armor is possible, but not recommended unless you treat it as a toy, but expect breakage like in a model. Lolicon
Does anyone know what the proper mixture for the gunpod color is supposed to be? The manual says: 85% purple 10% bubble 5% dark blue What the hell is bubble??

David Hingtgen
Eh, holding the ginormous gunpod out front may balance it out. Without it though, will definitely need a stand. Hmmn, pilots look like 2 Altos stuck in. Definitely not Brera and Ranka. (I of course, need them to make a Grace for the green version)
captain america
Model Graphix source Good God, the model looks absolutely terrible next to the CG rendering! That shade of demon dingleberry purple does nothing to flatter it either.

The manual says: 85% purple 10% bubble 5% dark blue What the hell is bubble?? Not sure, but I think its 85% violet, 10% purple and 5% dark blue. I'm confused too as to whether the translation of sumire-iro in japanese means violet the color or something else. basing my answer from this color chart

Busted VF1A
Good God, the model looks absolutely terrible next to the CG rendering! That shade of demon dingleberry purple does nothing to flatter it either. The only real problem I'm seeing is the shoulders. The pads are too small and the spacing is way to far out from the body. They should be much closer to the chest. The rest looks acceptable, maybe a little to narrow on the mid section...
Excillon
I for one think this is the best looking one so far. But then, this was my favorite valk in frontier.

The rest looks acceptable, maybe a little to narrow on the mid section... - small shoulder pads - chest far too wide - intakes too large - head too wide - crotch connection too thin * depending on how you see it - upper thighs too large - legs a bit on the meager side **Also If you look at the CG vs the model GERWALK the knee joints are way off. Who ever designed this must have done this in way to many parts to take this all in as a whole VF.
azrael
Who ever designed this must have done this in way to many parts to take this all in as a whole VF. Well it's probably a prototype sculpt. Probably the joint placement/transformation sculpt. We may see the final sculpt in next months' magazines. ernanbot
Is it painted or mate coated? Looks to me that some parts are and other aren't.. actually both..some parts i had to paint 'coz of frosting due to matte coating. i had to strip the matte coat with thinner, resulting to discoloration of the plastic. thus, i had to paint it with the nearest possible color of rattle spray i could find. i actually got a lot of tips here in the forums. thanks for all the help haha! CF18
Wow new movie weapon pack for VF-25. The big unit should be a model, and the smaller unit should be the 1:250 VF collection toy. source Edited October 8, 2009 by CF18

Graham
reminds me of the SAP. The big one looks like the DX. The big one is definitely the 1/72 model kit. Although I'm sure a DX won't be far behind. And of course the small one is the 1/250 Fighter Collection. I guess it will be released with series 3? electric indigo
The line-art for the new pack looks 10x better than the models. They look "organic" and bulky, the drawing is mechanical and sleek. It's still a printed prototype, so I think the added details on the final kit will make it look more mechanical. No Q-Rea

macrossnake
The line-art for the new pack looks 10x better than the models. They look "organic" and bulky, the drawing is mechanical and sleek. I agree. The new pack is wider and rounder than the lineart. We can see the noise of the fighter looks very short compare with the drawing... Overall, I do think it looks very 'Gundam-lish'. Not sure I like that design.
Kelsain
The battroid mode lineart of the VF-25F with Tornado Pack really reminds me of a Gundam from SEED or SEED Destiny for some reason. Not sure I like it. Graham Perhaps if the wings folded up, similar to the VF-27's, it would look a little better. That's what I figured it would do. It ends up looking even more back-heavy than the Armor-pack. * I still think it looks sweet in fighter (& presumably gerwalk) Edited October 8, 2009 by Kelsain

bullet101
I really don't like the look of the new 'Tornado' pack, it destroys the look of the VF-25 whilst also making it look dated. At least with the regular super pack it retained the overall looks and feel of the VF-25 and even with the armoured pack it still looked good. Makes it looked like the VF-25 with something from SDF:M tacked on to it.
