Disney would be completely idiotic to not air the 6th season of Clone Wars. I'm sure they can turf some Hanna Montana or some lame comedy show for a CW slot.

Too, Hasbro keeps the pegs full of CW figs at the local retailer of choice.

I don't have an issue with anything that you said in your post, except for the quoted bit above.

There may be some CW figures out there on the pegs, but where's the CW figures of:

  • 99 (the deformed clone on Kamino);
  • Fives (in ARC trooper armor);
  • Dogma:
  • Sergeant Appo;
  • Tarkin;
  • Asajj Ventress (in her Nightsister get-up and also in her bounty hunter get-up);

And where the hell is PONG freakin' KRELL?!!

And this list is not even counting any of the potential figures that could be made from this current season.

Unfortunately, Hasbro's been royally dropping the ball with its Clone Wars figures (and with its Star Wars figures in general).

So, is this how they get rid of her to explain her absence in ROTS and bring balance to the franchise?  Or will we be seeing her again, perhaps joining forces with her new kindred spirit?

It was a great story arc and a satisfying end to the season indeed, but the identity of the true culprit was no surprise at all, just as I thought.

A very satisfying way to end Tano's run and a great way to explain her absence in ROTS.  Plus, it's obvious she gets to survive the purge and show up between the trilogies in whatever new series will come after clone wars.

It's well done but also obvious that this entire series has been used to retcon and explain why Anakin turned to the dark side because ROTS failed to do so.

I was expecting for death of Ahsoka... But I content with the final.

Ok, let's waiting for a Seasn 6 in Disney XD

Honestly? I believed that Disney would cancel the series and its version. As with the Amazing Spider-Man.

It's well done but also obvious that this entire series has been used to retcon and explain why Anakin turned to the dark side because ROTS failed to do so.

Because it was so "unclear" in ROTS that Anakin would do anything and everything to prevent Padme's death, especially after all those visions of her death and the still-fresh experience of losing his mother (and not taking any action until it was practically too late). :rolleyes:  [/sarcasm]

But getting back to the finale, I was a little surprised at how it all ended.  But I understand why "Snips" did what she did.

I am curious to see what will happen with

Spoiler
though.  Are they gonna execute her, lock her up in prison, or will Sidious find some use for the disgraced Jedi?

If we do get a sixth season, I do hope there's some follow-up to this arc, whether its a face-to-face between Ahsoka and

Spoiler
(where the Jedi traitor explains why she did these things to Ahsoka) or some sort of follow-up scene involving
Spoiler
talking with Ahsoka, Anakin, or the Jedi traitor.

I also enjoyed how Palpatine sowed a few seeds of Jedi distrust during the trial.  Such a sneaky little bastard using the trial to further his purposes.

And lastly, if you're into brutal and fast lightsaber fights, these past two arcs have definitely given us a truckload of those.

While I've stopped collecting SW figs, I do take a glance at them from time to time. Thus far I've not paid enough attention to them to really notice which characters haven't been made; I just see full pegs wherever I go. As for  your list of omissions, I don't think they've made Maul with all his leg variants either. I'd consider picking up a version of him with spider legs.

LEGO beat Hasbro to the punch with a Pong Krell figure (Z-95 Headhunter set# 75004)

If this does turn out to be the last season, I stand by my oriignal feeling that the mini-series fits in perfectly to bookmark the beginning and the end.

So have they cut season 5 short at only 20 episodes instead of the usual 22 episodes? :(

I saw episode 20 was announced as the season finale?

There's definitely been fewer and fewer Clone Wars figures released by Hasbro for season 4 and 5.

I recently picked up the Phase II armour Captain Rex, Commander Fox and Commander Wolff for my son. Disappointing that the knees are not articulated though.

At first I was raging but after watching the video and seeing the direction they are going with the new Clone Wars I'm excited. Loved the Order 66 hints seeping through,Admrial Trench is back! and those Jedi looked cool. Should be a great finish.

I wonder if it will just touch on what Ahsoka is doing as its probably clear she wont be a main player in this series/season.

Disney still kinda annoyed me with them putting a stop sign in front of game development on 1313 and such. Dont know why they just couldnt let development continue it has nothing to do with their focus on Ep VII...

but guess we will see how things go,not much we can really do about it. all busniess in the end.

I pretty much saw the Disney acquisition as neither a good nor bad thing.

But the decision to cancel this version of the Clone Wars definitely pisses me off.

Really wish Disney would just say screw it, and let the original crew of writers and animators tie up all the loose ends with one final season.

It's gonna get you BIG RATINGS, Disney!

Was the show really going anywhere? I feel like it was visually beautiful, and fun but there wasn't much of a progressive story... I would say the ONE episode that has implication to the larger picture was the episode where Anikin tortured a prisoner to get information out of him, then lied to ObiWan about it.

I'm not disagreeing with you there; I'm impressed that it went on as long as it did.  I'm not mad that it's being cancelled, I'm mad that the creative team is being given the axe instead of a full season to wrap things up.

We've been seeing shades of why the clones were so brutal with Order 66 (Pong Krell wiped the floor with a bunch of 'em.  Ahsoka was able to elude them, making it almost damn impossible to capture her alive.  And there was a teaser scene for Season 6 on starwars.com that showed a clone getting faulty/glitchy and shooting a random Jedi from behind.).

I'd still like to see what happened to Rex (as Appo is running the 501st clones when Anakin/Vader marches into the temple).

Hell, like Graham is always harping about, I'd like to see more Clone-centric stories.

And more signs to Anakin's downfall or more episodes showing the toll the war is taking on the Jedi's psyche would be fine with me too.

Believe me, I'm a bigger fan of the Genndy Tartakovsky clone wars series.  And there were definitely moments that royally pissed me off with this version.

But there have been stand-out moments with this series too, and I believe it deserved another season to tie up most of its loose ends.  Again, it's not like this series was struggling or unpopular.  Why not transfer it over to a Disney channel and milk it for one more season?
