Updating the Models Section
#1
Posted 10 February 2005 - 04:55 PM
Just wanted everyone to know I have started working on redoing the models section in MW. It's still in the works, but Ill be looking for people who have some of the rarer kits who would be interested in helping us post content. For each kit I'd like to post:
1 Cover art (high res)
2 Instructions (complete)
3 Decals (high res)
4 Kit (pieces)
5 Completed kit photos (by MW members and particuarly well done ones from magazines (if we can...not sure on this...copyright and all))
6 Feedback/Reviews (looking for more of the Amazon 1 Paragraph here)
So...
A) how does this sound?
B) I'm going to need help. Starting with the 1/72 scale lists I need a lot. If you have any of the items below and would be willing to scan the above items, or you have finished one and would be willing to share pictures please drop me a PM and Ill start a running list of what we need/have. I'm hoping to finish a couple sections a week. THANKS ALL!

Looks good to me...No rush on pics. How does my model company list look?
But what do I know? You probably know more than most of us anyways.
Btw, Jesse, will those decal pictures do?...or do you even want higher res?

Can you look at the kit maker list above and help me fill in blanks that I'm missing? Also, any chance your WF pics are still available for me to show completed kit displays for some of your rarer WF kits?
THANKS

3 Bad Men in a Hidden Fortress had a GREAT web page with some stunning pictures of their completed kits. I've lost the links and the pictures so it might be possible their web page is still out there. I believe the link and maybe even some of those pictures were posted in the old forums.

Seiichi just mentioned another kit manufacturer.
Fuhmon-VF-koubou
I'd never heard of them...they might just fall in the WF catagory.

I would love to see the 3 Bad Man kits. I heard so many great things about them but have never seen them or even know anything about it other than the fact that they made some great VF-1 battroids.Do you or will you have access to pictures that were posted in the old forums?

Good to see youre working at least.I'm more then happy to help. I've now got a new personal email address. It's choff at bellsouth dot net. However I've been very busy with work since the first of the year and I think it's likely to stay that way for a while. So I'll be a little slow. Just let me know what you want and I can try to photograph a few kits each weekend or something.
Carl
...and good to see you still have time for us MWers.
